I'm still looking for more than just what the Trellis.law site has on the OP with his 2nd wife (GD - the one in these previous two incidents) as she had filed that PRIOR to the other 2023 incident with their son.

You can find out gender in the NIPT, a blood test. I just found out at 14 weeks pregnant. I’m not sure how early they can run that test though.

The search continues for a missing teen from Wisconsin who is believed to have been kidnapped by a man from Arkansas.

I don’t know when the last time you were expecting a baby was, but NIPT has been available in the UK both privately and through the NHS for more than five years.

It is also widely available in the US.

2019: Day was charged in Independence County, AK with endangering the welfare of a minor after it was reported his four-month-old son broke his femur in Independence County. Doctors noticed more bruising and fractures consistent with blunt force trauma.

2020: Day enters guilty plea on endangering welfare of minor charge from 2019.

July 2023: Day was charged with domestic battery in the second degree for injuries related to his then-four-year-old son in Lonoke County.

May 2023: domestic battery charge dropped.

April 2024: Gary begins communicating online with teen in Beaver Dam, WI

Late July 2024: Gary drove to WI to pick up minor teen and take her to AK

August 1, 2024: arrived in Austin, AK and began intimate relationship with said teen

December 10, 2024: Dodge County (WI) LE is “on duty” about a missing teen in Beaver Dam. On the same date LE in Austin, AK located teen at Day’s residence when they were there to investigate other “crimes against children”. Day was charged with interference with custody and contributing to delinquency of the minor teen.

New Years Eve 2024: Day had written to teen using unknown email "I guess we are not friends anymore" and "I want nothing to do with you."

The teen and her parents had a strained relationship.

January 26, 2025: Day sent teen several messages, including but not limited to, threats to harm himself because of their separation. "I want nothing to do with you," "Suicide, you win, goodbye," and "no one will care." To which she responded with "I'll care and so will our daughter." (informing him of her pregnancy) and "I know how much you wanted a girl and I know how much you care for your children," [personal aside: ewwww ewwww ewww, I’ll just bet he does ☹ ] Day responded with "Tell her I'm dead," and "I stayed out past curfew. Probation. And I didn't notice. I'm done."

February 1, 2025: Teen’s father emails LE in Beaver Dam to inform teen is doing well back at home but shared a google account the teen’s parents had discovered the prior evening and gave LE permission to review it. LE discovered teen was still communicating with Day via this account.

Day's mother has confirmed she bought the black Buick used in the abduction for her son.

February 2, 2025: Teen is seen heading to bed at her home.

February 3, 2025: Day is seen on video at her residence at 7:48 am.

February 24, 2025: Day is scheduled to appear in Lonoke County AK for his arraignment on the December incident involving this teen.

ETA, I took care not put the missing teen's name in this post and will be using her initials moving forward. It is abundantly clear this young girl has been manipulated by an icky adult predator. At some point, hopefully, this teen is located safely, and this thread will have to be scrubbed or removed entirely so I am trying to be conscious of that.

This timeline is great, but can all uses of "AK," which is the abbreviation for the US state of Alaska, be changed to the correct abbreviation of "AR" for Arkansas? Could get confusing. I familiar with this case and still my first thought seeing this was "he was in Alaska too?"

So he had residences/ties in Arkansas, Pennsylvania and Illinois. JMO also based on google search of public address records.

We were on Interstate 39 today (central IL) and all the overhead signs had the description of the car, a possible plate #, and to call 911. It didn't state why or who they were looking for, which I thought was strange - BUT it was only 2 flashes of info, so it was clear and I could read it about 3-4 times before going under it - which is great. A lot of times they put too much info and you can barely read all of it, let alone remember the information.

So I've been thinking and doing more research. I actually don't think he went back to his 'home' area. I think he went in the other direction --- towards places he used to live in his younger years. I would be looking in Idaho / Arizona / Washington. People are actively looking in Arkansas area....so he could possible fly under the radar easier if he went elsewhere.

As a person from the Midwest, I'm trying to think of where he would go. Lots of rural areas to hide out in - this day and age it's impossible to use cash etc to stay at a hotel without an ID and a card on file ICE. i hope he's dumb enough to leave a paper trail

How do parents teach their budding teen daughters to avoid manipulative middle aged men? Parents probably think more about aggressive hormone burning young men as the "enemy" of their teenage daughters. But these older men....are so much more dangerous in my mind.

Unfortunately parenting doesn’t come with a manual and, even if it did, what works for one kid may not work for another kid - even two siblings raised in the same house. And being a kid/teen doesn’t come with a manual either. Some kids are lucky to be born into and/or raised in a family that is supportive, encourages growth and self-esteem and gives them a safe place to be when life is hard, failures happen, etc.

I’ve raised 3 kids and I’ve been lucky that they were all basically good kids that are hard-working, know right from wrong, believe in family and are kind at heart. No, they are far from perfect and can also be mouthy, rude, self-centered, etc (as I think we all can be), but when they have a chance to re-group they are usually good at apologizing and being loving. I always made sure that they knew I wasn’t perfect and that I made mistakes along the way and that that is how you grow and learn. I was always involved in their lives - school, sports, friends, etc - and let them know that there was always room for one more at the table or to stay with us if they needed it. It makes me so happy to see them live like this, too.

I had wonderful parents but that didn’t keep me from being a difficult teen. Although I was a bit older than Sophia is, I ended up in a relationship with an older guy (I was 20, he was 32). It wasn’t physically abusive, but he became jealous and controlling as I got older and more independent. He would tell me that no one would love me (or put up with me) like he did and that he would kill himself if I ever left, even putting a gun to his head in front of me on more than one occasion. I was a “nurturer”, taking in stray animals and being sympathetic towards people that others may have turned away from. I thought I could fix him if I could just be better. I see so much of who I was then in Sophia and it is heartbreaking. I eventually managed to get away from him, but it was a long process full of fear. My saving grace was that he loved his successful public image and was afraid of losing his job, his image and possibly being arrested that he finally left me alone when he realized I had enough evidence to destroy him and it would become public if anything happened to me.

Sophia has a long road ahead of her that often only comes with maturity and experience and with a strong support system to help her. It is even harder with a baby - I know this, too, having my 1st child as a senior in HS. I wish I could tell Sophia so many things to give her strength and a belief that this “man” does NOT love her and that he only cares about himself and what he can get from others. I just hope she can survive long enough to learn these things and find the strength to get away from him safely.

Yes. My sister and her spouse are having a baby, and they’re very excited to find out in a few weeks. Their doctor is doing the test at 12 weeks.
