Rest in peace, Ms. Blackmon. :( I'm so sorry your life ended in such a heartless, violent way.

We've got to get America's children back in school if for no other reasons than their safety and sanity. No child/children should ever have to live with the memory of traumatic events such as this one. MOO

  • A Wisconsin man is charged with allegedly shooting and killing his own sister. Investigators and a school officials say children at a virtual classroom heard it because one of the students was living at the residence.
  • The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner administrator said the child inside the home was a 9-year-old.
  • “Multiple gunshots were heard by classmates and a teacher in the online classroom platform and the teacher activated 911 to the address on file for the student,” the ME said.
  • The victim was his sister, Pastor Michelle Blackmon, 52.

After the shooting last week, a judge ordered Stokes to undergo a mental evaluation and he appeared in court on Tuesday via video conference.

His doctor’s report is scheduled to be reviewed by a court on October 5.

If Stokes is found competent to stand trial and is convicted of killing his sister, he faces up to 60 years in prison.

Kids on Zoom class heard as 'pastor was shot dead by her own brother'
