Is anyone watching the trial of KC? What are your thoughts?

I'm on the "guilty" side.

I've been watching and I believe she's guilty also. The texts between her and her lover are damning to her. Her wiping her eyes and nose every day while she pretends to cry is ridiculous.

She is guilty IMO.

Very convincing performance under direct examination, but the texts between them show the lies in everything she testified to.

She became a different person under cross-examination. I noticed how she was manipulating the jury under direct, with her persona and smiles and trying to inject humor and care into her narrative. Under cross she was rattled and defiant.

9/10 for her acting. I appreciated the concise and precise cross-examination style of the prosecutor. 🎯

Listening to the cross right now and the prosecutor's cadence and accent is adding a kind of drama to this that I've never seen before! His contempt for her is so subtle and yet so effective.

I am a 100% guilty for her. It seems so obvious with her demeanor of fake crying and muddled expressions. MOO

On to prison, Karina.

found this trial just in time to see her on the stand. Textbook guilty murder 1 and did not take jury long. Needed this jury in Ct. It was noteworthy that her public defenders pretty much packed up and wanted nothing to do with her post verdict....they did their job but clearly knew it was a loser. Same will happen with this Huston character.

Sentencing will now take place on Friday, Sept. 19, in Tama County District Court beginning at 2:30 p.m.

[...]

Karina Cooper’s co-defendant and former lover, Huston William Danker, now 27, plead guilty on Aug. 12, to first-degree murder in connection with Ryan Cooper’s death. He entered his plea on what would have been the first day of trial moments before jury selection was set to begin in Johnson County District Court. Danker’s sentencing hearing is set for Oct. 3 at 9 a.m. at the Tama County Courthouse.

On Aug. 26, Cooper’s defense attorney Nichole Watt filed a motion for a new trial on the grounds that the jury’s verdict “is contrary to the law and the weight of the evidence presented,” and Judge Anderson issued a subsequent order that the motion will be heard at the time currently set for sentencing. If the motion is denied, sentencing will follow.

Sorry, I'm a bit late to this case.
But I agree! Karina was very calm and convincing when she testified on her behalf, but she became testy and defensive on cross when prosecution asked her to explain her own words that were brought into evidence. She tried to distance herself from her own words...saying things like, "that's what it says", rather than saying "yes, that's what I said".

She's quite a piece of work. Her over-the-top theatrical performance when her BIL and LE arrived at the crime scene was a sight to behold. She had just spoken to her young lover an hour or so earlier, and told him "go". She told her lover that she would be his wife forever. And previously, in Snapchat messages to him, she called her husband 'just a sperm donor'.

Here's a link to victim impact statements and sentencing for this horrible woman.

Karina was sentenced to life without parole, which was the only sentencing option available to the judge for this case.

<door slams>

Of course I feel so sorry for her children. But she has to suffer the consequences of her actions.
She went for the insurance money rather than simply filing for divorce. And now their kids are suffering.
