While I do NOT vouch for the story, nor the authors of the stories, I do have an opinion of what I choose to believe about portions of the story as it relates to the Grunds and their depositions on Wednesday, Dec 8th. I wait for confirmation through official documents.

I personally believe that things were said in the Grund depositions and then reported in the blogger stories. I believe that a source has most likely told the Grunds that Lee visited Jesse with the sole objective to collect DNA from Jesse, and this is what the Grunds stated during their depositions. (now, whether these allegations can be PROVEN or not, is another question altogether). I believe the Grunds made these statements, UNDER OATH, during their depositions.

I believe that the media did not know the Grunds were being deposed on Wednesday, Dec 8th ... but the unidentified source for the stories DID KNOW that Richard Grund was deposed that day, and the source knew BEFORE the depositions took place. For some reason, none of the usual Florida news outlets ever published the information that the Grunds were deposed on Wednesday, Dec. 8th - not even the next day.

It is interesting that the Grunds did not issue a DENIAL that they were deposed on Wednesday, Dec 8th (because they were - even though the Notice of Deposition had not been filed with the Clerk until AFTER the depositions were completed).

The Grunds have not DENIED that Lee visited Jesse in Georgia, and have not denied that they were "told" by someone, that Lee wanted Jesse's DNA to plant.

I find the Defense intense focus on touch DNA on Caylee's shorts and the laundry bag interesting.
I find Cindy's statements on the "TODAY" show on Aug 13, 2010, interesting - wherein Cindy made a statement regarding an issue that she had NOT been asked about. Cindy blurted out - "They must be saying that Casey must have been so calculated that she was able to put Caylee's remains down there without any any any link to her. There's no fibers, there's no hair, there's no DNA there's no fingerprints of Caseys or anyone in our family."

The TODAY SHOW interviewer was only talking about Casey - but Cindy added "or anyone in our family". Law enforcement had not alleged that any of the family was at the remains site, but Cindy brings this up. Cindy appears to have knowledge and a certainty about these matters -- how would she know about any DNA on Caylee's remains or Caylee's belongings?

Lee refused a polygraph and encouraged his family to refuse also.
Cindy did everything she could to sabotage Tim Miller's search efforts, and never helped search for Caylee herself.
Cindy sent P.I. Dominic Casey to the remains site - his search was video taped by Hoover.
Somehow P.I. Dominic searched within yards of where Caylee's remains were later found.

I believe it is possible that someone intended to plant Jesse's DNA on Caylee's remains and/or Caylee's belongings .... however I have no idea if it can be PROVEN in a court of law. For the time being, I am satisfied in my own mind, that these allegations were very probably stated during a deposition(s) with the deponent UNDER OATH. Whether the public will ever see a transcript of the depositions remains to be seen .... the Defense surely will have no interest in releasing these transcripts of depositions of the Grunds.

Yes she was a bit too obvious in her obsessive repetition of instructing people to look for a "live caylee" and telling LE the grunds were suspects, as if she were a fellow detective. I pray pray pray the Anthonys go to prison.

Exactly. No matter how much the defense would like to distance themselves from it, they are married to Zanny-the-imaginanny. There is no getting away from it. And they have their lying, yapping client to thank for that. Everytime the defense starts blowing smoke in an attempt to distract the jurors, LDB will interject the imaginanny to remind them of Zanny. *poof* That will clear the air in an instant.

When I get stressed over stuff like Kronk or the TES searchers, I always remind myself of Zanny. The irony of all of this is that - FINALLY one of Casey's lies is going to be the very thing that we can rest assured will seal her fate. Zanny is gonna be the huge elephant in that courtroom that never goes away.

And there's not one, but TWO completely different versions of the story. Kinda rules out dissociation.

George had just become the spokesman for Kid Finders when he and Dennis Milstead went to Satsuma to assist in the search for Haleigh Cummings. They were there only a matter of a few hours before they were asked to leave. A couple of days later, George and Cindy went to Satsuma..............I think for a prayer vigil............but didn't stay.

That was the extent of either George or Cindy having any involvement in helping families of missing children.

No one wants any association with the Anthonys. I think everyone sees through their phony facade, trying to represent themselves as the grandparents of a missing child, when Caylee was never missing.........she was murdered and her murderer knew exactly where Caylee was.

Leila, you are spot on. Your last paragraph is very harsh ... but, truth often is, imo.

Great post!

As well, Think, I am trying to figure out the Facebook status comment from the Grunds that you had so "sleuthfully" (as always :) )posted the other day and understand how these all come together!

:newbie: Mind pointing a newb to the status comment? I seem to have missed it! :blushingsmiley:

From CA right? Looks like the only one who can count in that family is KC (31 days). 12 days. From June 27 until July 16th is 19 days. Where did she ever get 12 days?

Exactly. What happened on July 9th? Maybe that date is important?

July 9th or June 9th?

I find this whole thing so suspect. The A's were so sure of June 9 being the last day they saw Caylee until the Father's Day video popped up. I do think that date is important since it's yet another possibility of the A's purposefully pointing LE in the wrong direction. If Cindy went to see her father for Father's Day with Caylee, it seems odd that she'd mistake the date. JMO of course.

He and his cohorts may as well air a show about how Zanny is from outer space and took Caylee back with her to planet Zeon before dumping an alien child's body with her DNA back behind the Anthony's, because he has officially lost every ounce of credibility he ever had.

The defense is, indeed, married to the Zanny the nanny story. This is the only story Casey has given, although she did change the story by moving the last time she saw Caylee from the bottom of the stairs at Sawgrass Apts., to J. Blanchard Park and added Zanny's sister Samantha to the story.

It was Cindy who said she was suspicious of Jesse and thought either Jesse or Amy could be Zanny. In one jail-house visit with her parents, Casey said she didn't trust Jesse, but she's never accused Jesse, Amy, or anyone else of the crime.........at least not that we know of.

It makes me wonder if during the time Casey was out on bond if she and Cindy engaged in any "who can we pin this on" conversations.

She's punishing them. Another sad glimpse into how she controlled her parents and still trying.

Boy do you have that right!!! ICA hasn't changed a bit. For her to still keep up the hate towards her parents after being in jail all this time is truly unbelievable. you would think she would have broke by now. Going thru all the holidays without one family member. This is the only control ICA has left over her parents. I truly believe if she were put to death she would go still never speaking to her parents. It's their fauly you know for calling the police. She expected them to believe her lies like always and sit there comforting her. I can't wait to see her face when they say "guilty" of 1st degree murder.

I'm willing to bet upon hearing "guilty" her expression won't even change, she won't even bat an eye IMO.

who can forget the "make him stop" comment too( while the pros. was stating how caylee probably looked in killer, ahem ICA's eyes before dying?

i'd be willing to bet shed break down in hysterics when she hears guilty...but i could be wrong, she could be icy/stone cold to the very end...

I personally think Cindy will break down crying, and Casey will have an angry outburst blaming everyone but herself. I don't see her breaking down and crying when she likes her independent life in jail so much. I do see her getting angry that she didn't get her way at all during the trial and after hearing the word "guilty" won't ever leave prison to do that RV trip in Costa Rica, though.

At the minute mark, talk of the Anthony's being crime victims is an insult...GA trying to reinvent himself as John Walsh....crime victims do not see the Anthony's as advocates and don't want them to ever be an advocate since someone is already arrested, accused of murdering Caylee and they continue with the lies...ITA...JMHO

The only problem with not keeping in touch with mommy and daddy is who is going to put money in her snack account. Who will buy her TV and all the other goodies she needs to survive. lol If she does not have them she might have to do that dirty "W" word "work" while in prison. I think she will keep the door open just enough so she can manipulate as always. It will be open to them only when she needs something. Maybe CA and GA can bring a map to her when they come so she can put an X on it to help find Caylee Marie. She will milk her family dry as long as they have a breath left in their bodies. She will say just enough to them when the urge strikes her. Nothing will ever change with this family.

From Facebook
"Richard J Grund
Life lesson: do not believe rumors. The facts, in certain cases, are bizarre enough. Sadly rumors are like feathers. Once put out there they cannot be retrieved after the winds of gossip get a hold of them."

"I agree we have to wait and see if there is any confirmation of the rumor or any aspects of it.
In my opinion the statement by RG on Facebook is not a very strong denial of anything. RG is NOT denying that he was deposed on Wednesday [ even though there was no Notice of Taking Deposition for the Grunds, filed on Wednesday, Dec 8th), and he is not denying any specifics of the rumor. All he did is make a generalized statement about rumors."

If she has ever shed a tear, it's for herself...no one else. Sorry for going slightly OT, but do we know if she made a formal request to attend Caylee's funeral? (Yes, I realize she was cremated...but she didn't know that when the body was discovered.)

Many thanks for posting that again, I love to go back through these old videos after so much time. What strikes me, and maybe this belongs in the "Misstatements/Lies" thread, is that Cindy says it was Casey who talked her out of committing suicide, yet on Larry King, he asked her why she didn't do it and she stopped, thought a second, and said "My faith", and talked about her faith keeping her from doing it for about 10 seconds. Casey never entered into it, that was clearly made up for the interview you have linked here after spending some time thinking what would be her best answer.

Hi my friend, I found this for you. Cindy Anthony seems to have gotten her little talking points from Linda or Jose, she is nearly verbatim. Check it out:
"We know the crime scene has been compromised. There is nothing to link our client to the crime scene", Linda Kenney Baden said.
The evidence was ruined and spoiled, the duct tape was contaminated by the FBI. It was another person, not Casey Anthony, nor her family whose dna was found", she continued. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmBoNzsRp0s[/ame]

I want to know what exact rumors RG is referring to. I also would like to see the transcripts of his deposition, to see if the deposition is as sensational as BNN bills it to be, in regards of a conspiracy to frame the Grunds.

ETA
The framing conspiracy: isn't that what RG is referring to when he says that he only has 2nd hand knowledge of it?
(if so, I would like to point out: 2nd knowledge = hearsay. While hearsay can be espoused upon in a deposition, it pretty much cannot be taken into the court room... and honestly if the person that fed him their 1st hand knowledge is a cowboy bounty hunter with serious credibility issues: good luck on getting a court to take it seriously)

  • #298
Yes, the framing conspiracy:

1. That Casey went to JG's apt to get some of Jessie's DNA to place with the body (!) and 2. That Lee attempted to meet up with Jessie in Atlanta to get some of his DNA to give to DC to place with Caylee's body (this is a new one for me). Both off the wall IMO.

'The chain of command seems to be PI Jim Hoover, to PI Dominic Casey, to Jose Baez. The target was to obtain the fingerprints and DNA of Jessie Grund. The first attempt involved Casey Anthony, but that failed, the second attempt involved Lee Anthony, who traveled to Atlanta to meet with Jessie Grund.'

This, IMO, shows consciousness of guilt, along with her defense attorney demanding to be at the crime scene on Suburban. Never have I heard/seen a defendants attorney being present while CSI is gathering evidence. It all proves to me, another nail gets banged into ICA's coffin...quite a contrast to the bones being found in the Little Econ River...ICA had no reaction, cause she knew where Caylee's remains were, the entire time...I do hope those jurors get to view that video of ICA hyperventilating and that they are smart enough to see through the smut the defense brings forth...and it does her in...along with the 31 days of NOT reporting an allegedly abducted/missing child...in the fine wisdom of TM..."this was a cold case before it was a missing persons case"...the State has so much against ICA, circumstantal or not...for when they found Caylee's remains, it changed the entire demeanor of this case and the actions of ICA...JMHO
