Just to amend your post a bit - the United States will seek forfeiture...
The federal government has rules that aren't contravened by silly, lenient state judges. Take Timothy Mcveigh for example. He was found guilty and sentenced to death - 6 years after the Oklahoma City bombing, he was given a lethal injection. It seems the feds mean what they say.
I don't know if the car is meant to be confiscated, but if it is, the gov. will seize it. Maybe they'll stick to their word and fine her too. Then throw her in federal prison.
I'm a firm believer that criminals have committed many more crimes than they are ever caught for. It'd serve her right to have to pay a steep price for stealing from her country!!!

On the last page of the Forfeiture Allegation it states that the state will seek the forfeiture of property as part of the sentence imposed in this case, that is the forfeiture of all property, real and personal, used in a transaction and attempted transaction, to commit, and to facilitate the commission of, a violation (other than a misdemeanor) snipped
Does this mean if she drove to the store or somewhere to give this person her SNAP Card LE could confiscate her car and/or other property?
