I'm taking the polygraph info with a grain of salt until it's confirmed, but I'm not a fan of polygraphs anyway. I don't think they're as helpful as a lot of people do, and they don't tell me anything either way. Innocent people have failed them, guilty people have passed them. Besides, most of the time when we hear that someone failed one, we just have that vague statement and no details about which questions the person was being untruthful about. I just need more than a polygraph to feel confident about someone's role in a crime.

At any rate, I do hope there are some answers coming after 5 long months. It's been so long. I still don't know what happened here, but I hope a clearer picture of what happened before, during, and after Aliayah's disappearance emerges soon.

Hunter Glass left this morning to take care of business back home. Joe Nick is still here turning up the heat and the volunteers are still going out on searches daily. The atmosphere in the room is getting clearer and clearer as we all feel that something will be happening very soon.

As to LL's sentencing hearing, the clerk of courts still does not have the date as of yesterday afternoon. I have been calling every 2-3 days, and will post the info the minute I find it.

According to some good sources, both LL and RL have failed their latest polygraph tests.

Thank you for keeping us posted, Westinlund!!! :yourock:

Five months is five months too long for Aliayah to be missing. I'm encouraged by the search efforts, though. This baby is out there somewhere and I think she will be found.

http://www.wboy.com/story/17014026/joe-the-bloodhound-nick-continues-search-for-ali

Nick said he had an expert analyze the 911 call Lena Lunsford made on Sept. 24. The expert discerned a male voice in the background advising Lena, he said.
snipped from article BBM

But that's not 'news', is it? That there was a male voice in the background? I thought we've known that since the 911 call was released. I remember it being talked about; I thought it was here on WS but I'm not sure. I always figured RL was there during the call, and that LL had picked him up from work while she was driving around.

Unless what they mean is that an expert was able to actually discern what the male voice was saying, rather than just hearing a male voice.

Either way... LE didn't already do that? Like 5 months ago? Why would they first now be studying that call in detail???

It was discussed on here but it was the 1st time I have read anyone who is actually investigating mention it. Maybe I missed it somewhere in all the articles though?

I recall us debating about a possible male voice in the backgound imediately upon public release of the 911 call. But have never read, seen anything regarding police investigating or acknowledging the prsence of a male voice.

I also recall that it was widely thought that perhaps the tape had been redacted in some sections. Wonder if a male voice was present in pssibly redacted portions.

Yes, I just did a quick search to make sure I didn't imagine that we had discussed the male voice. That was back during the first week of October.

I can understand if LE has been investigating this male voice and this is the first time the media was told about it, but the article made it sound like this was something previously unknown altogether and that Joe Nick had just discovered it (or his expert had).

Perhaps it's just yet another example of unfortunate reporting, and there's really more to it than that. It's not news that there was a male voice in the background; hopefully what really happened is that there's some important information in what he was saying at the time.

I think it is interesting that it is said that a male voice was "advising" her. It is possible that in the analysis they were able to hear more of that advising that can't be clearly heard on the tape we are listening to on youtube. Also, there may be more in the parts that were cut out of the released tapes.

Maybe Ralph was telling her to act more upset.....say this, say that. Maybe LL had her phone on speaker so he could hear the other side of the convo. I wonder if they can tell in an analysis if a phone was on speaker? Interesting.

I so want this baby to be found. So heartbreaking. 5 months now...continuing to pray.

What I find interesting is the way the news story flows. The call was enhanced, there is a male "advising" Lena in the background. Something happened to Aliayah in the "house". Ralph and Lena alone, know what happened. They are searching for Aliayah in the water.

Joe was briefed by the FBI, so I assume this means they have shared everything they know and/or suspect about what happened to her.

The news story makes it sound like they are only searching in the water, is that true? I keep going back to that dog trailing Aliayah's scent down to the river in those first few days.

But wasn't Ralph at work that day?

  • #335
Reportedly. Dont recall seeing it verified by le as to what time he arrived at work and RL has never said word one to the press this whole case so who knows.

But wasn't Ralph at work that day?

I think the timeline was that ll saw him off to work sometime between 6:30 and 7 a.m. She supposedly saw Aliayah the last time at 6:30. She was back up at 9:30 and discovered the baby missing. She drove around for 2 1/2 hours Looking for her before calling 911. That would have been around 12:00 p.m.

I think it was discussed on an older thread, maybe by Vickie, that Ralph did leave work and come home. He was driven home by the same person that picked him up and drove him to work that morning. I think it was verified that he was at work that morning. Don't know how to search and copy threads yet.

I have also thought for a long time that the river is key to finding the little one.

Would also love to have an update on Joann Evans. Is she still in the hospital?

Jo Ann is at home as of yesterday under the care of Hospice. We are not only searching the water as in rivers and streams, but we are searching many other places as well. I can not tell you exactly where we are searching, but I can tell you we are out everyday. A lot of progress is being made and tips are still coming in daily. We check out each and every tip we recieve. We have an awesome team at CC and will continue our efforts to find Aliayah for as long as it takes. We have been trained in the proper ways to conduct a search as well as many other helpful things to do in locating a missing person. Although we are totally focused on finding Aliayah, I pray what we have learned in this whole experience will be of great value to the comminity should this ever happen in our area again. I am very thankful for all PPP recovery has and is continueing to do to help us find Aliayah. please keep us all in your prayers. We will not give up !!!

I am very sorry to hear about Jo Ann. I have been thinking of you and your sisters and brothers. I hope that you and all of your siblings can find peace with each other during this time.
I am so glad PPP is there. Thanks you for all your hard work, Vickie. I feel really confident that Joe and his team can help this reach a conclusion.

Lena and Ralph ~ you are both cowards who never should have been able to produce children. Aliayah suffered enough before you disposed of her. Why not let that poor little sweetheart be found so she can have a decent final resting place. Oh, did I say "decent". You don't understand the meaning of that word, do you?
Poor sad, sweet little babe. She deserved so much, and ended up with such a poor excuse for a mother.

IMO

I had read on some of the Facebook forums that JoAnne was ill, but I had no idea that it was as serious as Hospice. For those of you who aren't familiar with this program, Hospice care is dedicated to help the dying live out their final days with dignity and comfort. In order to be be placed into Hospice care, you must have a letter from your physician stating that you have a terminal illness or condition and less than 6 months to live. Generally, doctors aren't so quick to give out those letters, either overestimating the effect of drugs and treatments, or simply refusing to give up hope on their patients. More often than not, Hospice care is used for about one month, instead of six.

I hope for JoAnne's sake, Aliayah can be found quickly so that she may rest in peace also.
