5 News has learned that on November 3, 2016, Lena Marie Lunsford was arrested in Pinellas County, Florida for &#8220;Death of a Child by a Parent by Child Abuse&#8221;.

Lewis County Sheriff Adam Gissy said that more information will be released at a press conference Friday. 5 News will be live streaming the press conference on our Facebook page at 11:00 a.m.

Nothing has been said in the news about her body being found. There will be a press conference held by the sheriff at 11:00am tomorrow morning, so hopefully we'll learn more details then.

UPDATE: The mother of Aliayah Lunsford waived extradition, which could expedite her return to West Virginia.

Finally!!
I read every thread on Aliayah a while ago and was upset her mother wasn't arrested.
Now hopefully there will be some justice for little Aliayah.

Oh my gosh! This has been a long time coming. Hopefully Aliayah has been found, and this prompted the arrest. Aliayah is one of my "pet" cases and I pray Lena rots!!

The mother of a Lewis County girl missing since 2011 has been arrested in Florida and is charged with her death.

Lena Lunsford was arrested by authorities in Pinellas County, Florida on a charge of 'Death of a Child by a Parent by Child Abuse.'
