Did you notice if the mother was there? I hope that the children were not there. I just feel sure that officials have some answers about Aliayah but
will not say anything until i's are doted and t's are crossed.

I am praying for Aliayah, sibs and family members.

It is also possible that they thought they would have everything ready to release some info at the PC but hit a snag and needed a little more time. Thus, the noon PC. I think that the info will be related to the search of the house last night. As far as the statement about looking for her clothes, maybe when they conducted the search of the house they found the articles of clothing that she was supposed to have been wearing. JMHO

IMO, that is very telling.

The residence was declared a crime scene yesterday so they had to leave. As at dark there still was no yellow tape up.

If her scent was picked up from her house directly to the river, I hope LE has considered that she could have been taken from her home directly to a boat. Dogs should be used on both sides of that riverbank in both directions to see if her scent is picked up again.

According to locals on FB, the mother borrowed gas from a woman on Earnhardt Drive, and it was actually one of the children that approached her for gas.

Anyone know how far this is from the family home?

Hmm. If she was out there riding around looking for Baby A with a child in the car old enough to approach a person for gas, that answers that. She was not dumping a body, she was doing what she said - looking for her child.

IMHO.

The Kitsonville store is a BP station/convenience store. It is the only store on this side of town. It is right past the road you turn on to go to Terrace Ave, which is the only way to downtown right now as the main road is closed for construction. The next store down 19 south is out near the resort.

I was told yesterday that no volunteer searchers would be turned away till she was found. Things get misquoted ect. Like yesterday over the radio they said for all volunteers to be at the weston fire dept at 1. We go there and the captain tells us that was not broadcast right that they only wanted volunteer fireman there at 1 in support of the water rescue people. He then directed us to the armory and church.

We get to the church which is right next to armory and they are having trouble getting internet so everything is being done by hand for our 1st search. by the time we go for our 2nd search they have internet and things run more smoothly.

I dont think people realize how small and tight knit this community is. I seen one man who had just had surgery on his knee 2 weeks before out there searching. several young preteens, lots of students from glenville college. Everyone I met was very nice and were just doing the best they could with the resourses they had. It is how I would want my town to be if a loved one of mine came up missing!!!

UPDATE 9/28/11 @ 11:50 a.m.

WESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- Authorities remain tight lipped about any details of their investigation as the search for a missing 3-year-old girl from Lewis County enters a fifth day.

FBI Special Agent Jon Hambrick wouldn't say Wednesday what her family members are telling investigators.

Hambrick says that publicizing details of the investigation would be counterproductive.

BBM: Hmmm ... IMO ... this is very "telling".

This is just so SAD ! I hope they find Aliayah SOON !

MOO ...

Article states according to Posey, 7 people living at the home at the time Aliayah went missing. Also confirms mom is preggo with twins.

Also from article -
"Posey said there were seven people living in the house at the time of the disappearance. They were Lena Lunsford, her husband, Ralph Keith Lunsford, and five children."

bbm

Couldn't remember if we ever actually confirmed the husband was Ralph Keith Lunsford. This is confirmation.

Posey said there were seven people living in the house at the time of the disappearance. They were Lena Lunsford, her husband, Ralph Keith Lunsford, and five children. Police said Lena Lunsford is pregnant with twins and was away from home at a doctor's appointment on Tuesday as the search for her missing daughter entered its fourth day.

...

"We are getting reorganized," Hambrick said. "We are establishing the command center.

"It is a collaborative effort between local, state and federal agencies in this search."

Have been following this case....IMO....

....a sick 3 year old doesn't leave and go anywhere,
unless they can't find anyone in the house

....a frantic mother doesn't stop to "buy" cigarettes (if true),
she would have used the money for gas

....if my three year old were missing I would call 911 and
then be running down the street screaming hysterically,
everyone would come out to help

....IMO again, the driving around sounds like a cover story,
I believe they are looking for a body

.....my theory....she was overdosed on medication accidentally

.....poor, poor little Angel

Is there a link for this info and I just missed it somewhere?

TIA,

Salem

So did they have a PC at noon? Did they not say at the 10:30am PC they would have more info at noon What happened?

  • #159
So, she (allegedly) stopped and bought cigarettes and wasn't in the right frame of mind to realize she is almost out of gas...all while driving around for two hours... Alrighty, then! :waitasec:
