I hope today's search will bring little Aliayah back home. Praying for Aliayah and her family.

I am going to delete that stupid rumour mill link from my history. That place is nothing more than a hotbed of salacious gossip. I, for one, do not need to be warned about carrrying rumor from there to here any further. Losing that link permenantly.

For those newcomers to Websleuths - You really should acquaint yourselves with the Terms of Service. The mods have been really patient, as they understand that each new case brings new members who are less familiar with our strict code of conduct.

I am always so pleased to see new members and fresh ideas come to WS, I would hate for anyone to be scolded or banned from simple lack of familiarity with the rules we live by here.

I don't think its just a newcomer problem. I have not posted anything from there. Only things I cannot and have not not backed up with a link is stuff I saw with my own eyes and heard with my own ears. I have been a member here for quite awhile and mostly just lurk but this one is close & I thought i could provide some insight and some pics.

Discovers Aliayah missing, drives around for 2 hours "searching", decides to stop and buy cigarettes (um..she's pregnant..), runs out of gas...all while searching for her daughter.

Strange. IMO, her "driving around for 2 hours" was to clear her head and come up with some sort of cover story and decide what the best course of action would be before calling 911.

I think Aliayah's death was most likely an accident. The mother panicked, drove around, then came up with this story that she deemed to be logical, and called 911.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume she was buying cigs for herself (since her husband was already at work).

Telling to me, because if she doesn't care about the risks or what cigarrette smoking does to twins, then IMHO she doesn't care all that much about the care of her other 5 children.

Cigarette smoke contains more than 4,000 chemicals, including truly nasty things like cyanide, lead, and at least 60 cancer-causing compounds. When you smoke during pregnancy, that toxic brew gets into your bloodstream, your baby's only source of oxygen and nutrients.

Might be a stretch, but work with me here. Maybe my mum thought it didn't hurt newborns 48 years ago - but we're all aware of the dangers nowadays. I consider it abuse to a fetus if anyone smokes, drinks or does drugs.

Not sure what's going on with this mom, but I don't like it - not one bit.

My opinion only - thanks.

Mel

I agree, not only newcomers are guilty of forgetting where that fine line is.

And I haven't noticed you post anything that was out of line (IMO) so I hope you did not take my gentle reminder as directed at you, as it was not.

I have found your local perspective to be very helpful.

I just have noticed, whenever we have a new case, it rightfully attracts new members, and sometimes it takes a while to become used to the rather strict, but necessary, guidelines that have been laid down for us to post within.

They are draining the pond by HK Casting. I can see it from my house. Roped off with yellow tape.

Does anybody know or remember where mom lived before she moved into this current home approx a month ago? An address would be great but even a city would help.

I am wondering if she lived in Jane Lew and was headed there or coming from there when she ran out of gas?

What other purpose might she have for being on that road, that far away?

There is no way a 3YO walked that far, so...what reason would she have to be on that road, I wonder.

Oh bless :( I guess it has to be done though since no one seems to know where baby A could be.

Hugs,

Mel

Not sure if this was posted, another article, Aunt saying the mother is distraught and asking for privacy

http://www.chron.com/news/article/Search-for-missing-W-Va-girl-now-in-5th-day-2192855.php

I think this is one of the things driving us crazy-besides the fact that it is the 5th day with no clues where Aliayah is:banghead:-we still don't know what to call Aliayah!!! Is she an abducted child or is she a child who wandered off and is truly "missing"?
We have heard half-hearted pleas from Gmom, Mom, and Aunts-but not much more than "we miss her and we want her home." I can understand to a point Mother not wanting to get on camera and add more stress so close to delivery-but, what about Gmom, Aunts and heck even SF(he was a part of A's life and I assume he cared for her) saying something like "If you have our baby please let her go or if you know anything please call LE"!!
I'm still clinging to a slender thread that this won't turn out like so many cases do-but everyday gets harder!!
