maybe we need to change our parameters, maybe the similarity is in what the resolution to that case was. I need to do some more googling. I will not elaborate what my new search parameters will be. It is enough to say I will not be looking for reports of a child that is missing.

As far as similarities, too much with Haleigh Cummings for my taste...

I'm from NC. All I'm waiting for is a ransom note...........and I'm not laughing!

Yes, we followed that one together Jeannie. This case reminds me of that one in some regards. Particularly the fact that the timeline for when the child went "missing" is completely dependent upon the story of the adult female caretaker in the home.

Just piping up to say that I'm thinking of Aliayah and sending good thoughts her way. :seeya: I have a wicked cold right now and my brain feels all fuzzy, so I'm just following the threads, thoughts not coherent enough to post much, bleh.

I can't help but wonder if LL going to town before calling LE was to look for someone. Someone who has Aliayah. I guess my head tells me I'm wrong but my heart wants to believe she was given to someone or abducted. I want her to be found alive and well and even though everything points to a horrible outcome, I want to rewrite the ending.

Praying for Aliayah and all her siblings and family.

I believe the thing that bothers me the most is the lack of family involvement. They seem to be in hiding. Where is the family, where are their friends? No one is speaking for Aliayah except the locals, LE, and the FBI.

Where are all the people who love her!

These aren't sophisticated people and aren't really capable, I don't think, of dealing with the media - constructing sound bites, answering questions on camera, establishing overall thematic consistency. It's tricky. Particularly when many think you "did it."

Well, Ive tried googling and I get nothing on the children being taken from the mother or the mother hiring a lawyer. Not even wboy article showed on google search. (i may have have over looked it, Ive been known to make mistakes........frequently.) I can only read that through the link provided through other WSs. I find that odd.
I know Im rambling Im just so confused. Why hasnt other MSM sources picked this up?
If someone finds a link please post it. Ill check back in the AM. TIA Praying for Aliayah

Here's a google search link. It's the first article. Instead of issuing new articles, they just keep updating the old one.
Titled: Aliayah Lunsford still missing day 7
Hope it works

You could be right. I'm not sure. My feelings go back and forth. With Mom being as far along in a pregnancy with twins she could be on bed rest and grandma could be with her.

I don't want to believe her mother would do anything to harm her.

I never wanna believe ANY of their parents (or stepparents) would harm their children, but time after time I'm kicked in the gut with these cases :(

I know what you mean!! And I think we're all in agreement here-it just doesn't get any easier to go on the emotional rollercoaster these cases take you on!! Many posters from the Caylee forum haven't made it back-hopefully they will cause I miss em!!

I think we're looking at a very short list. Is baby A not loved because of who her father is? Heck, we don't even know who her father is, only that he doesn't know he's a father.

Poor baby A doesn't even have a decent photo that we're aware of. Her birthday was in July -- I guess no one bothered to take a photo.

I just received my sons 9th grade class picture, and it's rare that you'll find me anywhere without my camera (anyone who knows me on FB knows I post pictures constantly). I don't do the cell phone pics because I don't have one...but the camera only sent me back a few bucks. I can't believe with all those babies she didn't have a cheap camera. What about grammy -- she didn't take piccies either? SD? The older sisters? The aunt? Odd.

I don't presume to know if baby A was loved or not, but from an outward appearance I'm not getting the warm fuzzies KWIM?

MOO

Have been away all day attending to family matters on this end (good ones). Looks like there may have been a development so will have to read backwards unless someone wants to give me a summary ..............please, pretty please.

The children were removed at 9pm last night and mother has hired a lawyer out of Charleston. What in the name of heavens is really going on here???????????

http://www.statejournal.com/story.cfm?func=viewstory&storyid=109093

The W.Va. Dept. of Health and Human Resources removed the children living in the Lunsford home on Dennison street at 9 p.m. Friday, county officials said. They did not give a reason.

Lena Lunsford hired Charleston attorney Tom Smith Friday.

My mind is probably waaaaay behind most of yours but I just thought of what this mother may have been thinking that morn. If there was one more person that went to sleep in that house the night before, someone yet disclosed, that also was not there in the morning it would explain her leaving the house for two hours.... perhaps this someone took the baby with her/him? This type of story might explain the odd statements from LE/FBI. Might be the hope they speak of. This may be mom's story. I'm grasping! Still find the whole story baffling.
