Wow,.....I really think that you guys are nailing this! All of your posts are making sense. I honestly now am believing that she has been "gone" for many months now, and that what Cubby said; " ....public aid has verification every so many months. ....but if she was going to be requesting an increase in benefits when the twins are born, it is possible she knew there would be some difficulties in providing proper 'supporting' documentation for Aliayah." BINGO!
"Christmas" now seems to be the operative word!
Does anyone know WHAT the address was of where they previously lived? Ohhh,...I bet if that house could talk..

We need a local to tell us. I don't know how we could find out unless someone who lives there knows. Maybe they moved to get a bigger house or maybe they moved for other reasons.

I just can't believe the neighbors didn't see 5 children playing in the yard in the summer. Its all too strange to me.

Thank you sktrsmw and welcome to WS! :welcome:

White pages lists two former cities of Frametown, WV (how ironic :innocent:) and Sutton, WV. I can only see the cities free, so have no idea of the actual dates they lived there. Step dad is listed as a relative for both cities so I am sure these are accurate.

Another thought.... if LL is receiving WIC, I believe that is through age 5 or 6 and the children are required to attend the appointments every so often.

I'm trying to recall but I think Christmas time would have been around the time the youngest child was born? or just prior. It occured to me, if something happened to Aliayah around Christmas time she'd have been the right age for potty training, and we've all seen too often how some children are abused during potty training. Add a newborn into the mix at that time.... and :(

Not sure if it means anything, but it appears the travel time between Weston and Sutton is an hour each way.

http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=Weston,+WV&daddr=Sutton,+WV+to:Frametown,+WV&hl=en&sll=38.680686,-80.680161&sspn=0.239602,0.438766&geocode=FdutUwIdjyo0-yld1uQDFjZKiDF8SiVDOFKBIw%3BFWD5TQIdRXcw-ynlnVanLtxLiDFSW64BjgSmAQ%3BFTSRTQIdvDIu-ykx52Vum2BJiDG74p4tUS6p9g&vpsrc=0&mra=ls&t=m&z=10

I hope LE is conducting some searches of the former residential area's behind the scenes.

This makes me sick. I'm so afraid you are right. I just hope if she isn't alive they will find her and give her a proper burial. She deserves that much and a lot more.

The person or persons who harmed her don't deserve anything good. Sorry. I'm just so upset about this precious little girl with the sad eyes.

If this is true, that she has been missing a while, I think this is probably part of what LE is piecing together. LE says they have lots of "pictures and videos" they are studying according to what was released yesterday and they may be tracking when she was last in any of them, perhaps videos from stores when family was shopping, etc...

Good point, Cubby. Wic does require that you bring in your child for certain appointments. At least once a year they have to have a finger stick to check for Iron amounts. If they do not bring them in, they cannot get their wic checks for that child.

I agree with the concept that this little baby has been missing longer than reported.
I did find addresses for LL on Spokeo.com. Two in Burnsville, 1 in Walkersville and 1 in Weston. The Weston address is 1/2 Walnut Street. The Weston and Walkerville addresses show that she was a child in those homes.

EIP is early intervention program which is available beginning at age 3 through local public schools. It's usually for some sort of delay in learning and in some area's for children who do not speak English as a first language. I'm using EIP as an example. There may be another type of program her older children attended which it would be time for Aliayah to start. Just speculation....

My son attended EIP for speech after our insurance changed and the new carrier no longer accepted Easter Seals. I was lucky and got him in a few mo's shy of 3 due to his history at ES.

Here it is Head Start and yes, they can begin at age 3. They have an Early Head Start program through Mountain Heart. I am sure they have other programs through that, but I know other people that have gone through them to help pay for child care so they can work.

I am following the posts that she may have been missing for a longer time and think you all may be on to something. My grand-nephews in WVa are all on WIC and my nieces take them for medical care whenever there is a problem. They get good health care as well as Head-Start at age 3. All are doing very well because of that.

The fact that Aliayah didn't get dental care, apparently, is very telling. Now, I'm going back a few pages to catch up.

I just feel so sad because I have lost hope for Aliayah. Poor baby.

Yes, I think you Sleuths might be onto something regarding a possible earlier disappearance.

It was reported in earlier threads that a dog followed Aliayah's scent as far as the water's edge.
Is it possible that someone could have faked that scent by shaking her skin cells out of an unwashed article of clothing or blanket or coat that she could have worn months earlier?

I think most likely LE verified that they were at the friend's house Friday night and that Aliayah was there. There have been other people that have said they have seen her family and who they thought was Aliayah just a week before she went missing. I know they asked the neighbors in the immediate area if they saw her. I do think she went missing earlier, but sometime Friday night or very early (before 6:30) Saturday morning.

The mention of the LL's mother in the 911 call bothers me, not just that she didn't call her, but in mentioning her at all during the call, could she have something to do with the disappearance? How many ask for advice from their mother when their child is ill? Could she have been waiting at home for LL to call and say that she had 911 and reported her missing?

I may be just grasping here. It's hard to think like a devious person when you are not one yourself. It's easy to figure out what I consider a normal mother who cares about her children would do because that is how I see myself. I simply cannot understand those who do not have the nurturing instinct and do not bond with their children because I feel so deeply for my own child.

I wonder if the pictures that they are looking at depict that Aliayah was possibly abused. Maybe she was locked in her room and not allowed out with the family. I am just trying to figure out why there are no pictures of this child.

More on the same page! That same thought crossed my mind as well, especially since (iirc) only one of the dogs tracked the scent to the river. Now, I don't recall the source of the information indicating it was only 1 dog. IIRC there was also some mention of the dog handler indicating he or she thought Aliayah had walked to that spot within the previous 7 days. Anyone recall better details than I?

With regards to faking the scent, we might have to seek out one of our verified SAR members and ask about this possibility.

I don't think that would be necessary. If Aliayah was taken to the river weeks ago, the dogs would still be able to pick up her scent. Especially if it was the last place she went, kwim?

Do we have a confirmed 'last sighting' of Aliayah by someone other than family yet?

FWIW, I would ask my mom questions about an illness, but that is because I have an onlie and there are many news with a first or only child. LL doesn't have that benefit with Aliayah.

I know it is difficult to fathom how anyone can treat a child in the way we read about in so many cases here. It's just simply difficult to understand, imo, why not one of these family members, or even friends can come up with a single photo of Aliayah after Christmas.

I'm not sure about what LE might be looking at in the 'pictures' they are reviewing. The Christmas just stands out like a flashing red light.

When this case first broke people were asking for additional photo's, here and various other places the case was being discussed. If any existed, even from non family members - from friends, why have they never surfaced outside of the one photo with the dorito bag when Aliayah was much younger?

Surely LL must have some female friends her age with children? I find myself thinking even if I did not have photo's family or friends would. And I know they would offer them.

There is a reason so little information came from Aliayah's family and then suddenly came to a grinding halt. For all we know, friends could have offered pictures and they too could have been declined like the attorney who volunteered his services pro bono was declined.

jmo and some food for thought while we are seeking answers regarding Aliayahs disappearance. No stone left unturned and we only have so much to work with. ......
