RL's step father's picture is in our local weekly paper this week as a new registered sex offender for our county. He was convicted in march in 1990 and served 17 1/2 years. If he was released recently, he must have been back in for another charge. Or, he recently moved from another county.

Thinking of Aliayah. I was so hoping she would have been found safe by now. I'm very glad active searches are still happening.

This is not new but I don't remember reading it as it is worded in this article.

"Earlier this week, Tom Dyer offered his services for free to anyone who had information about Aliayah's disappearance.

He says that on Sunday, a woman he had represented in the past called him with what he calls "very credible information." The woman suggests that Aliayah has been taken and the man responsible has some sort of prior relationship with the Lunsford family.

Dyer would not name the man, but says he has a "sordid past." Dyer says he believes if the information he has been given is true, there is a chance Aliyah is still alive.

"It lead me to believe, and I believe that everybody else that the story has been shared with in law enforcement, that there's reason to continue to maintain some guarded level of optimism about this turning out well...this girl still being alive and being able to be found alive," Dyer tells Eyewitness News.

"Given that they've not located him where they expected to initially, that's only lent further credence to the veracity of the information that was provided initially by this caller," says Dyer.

Is it possible that they are referring to the RSO?

You are probably right. The sad thing is that was said 3 weeks ago and she hasn't been found. I just do NOT understand why LE hasn't posted that persons photo nationwide along with Aliayahs. How could it possibly jeopardize the investigation? Flood the media with Aliayahs picture so everyone knows. It is the only chance she has IF she is still alive. IMO

It's possible. Just because a person isn't showing as non compliant on the rso web site doesn't mean he/she is in compliance with the law. I've seen it take a long time for the state police to update that site.

Family members did an interview today with a reporter from WCHStv today but it's not showing online today. My daughter caught the end of it and says more will be on their 11:00 broadcast tonight. I hope they put it online!

"We're not going to give up hope. We want her home more than anything in the world," says her great aunt Vickie Bowen from Webster County, West Virginia. They are words from a grieving family as they hold out hope Aliayah is still alive.

"Whoever has her. Please, please bring her home. Take her anywhere, to a public place...anywhere. Please do the right thing and send this little girl home," she tells Eyewitness News.

Missing now for more than a month, the search for Aliayah has shifted to the remote town of Vadis in Lewis County. Vadis is about 30 minutes away from Bendale, where Aliayah was last seen at her home on the morning of September 24th.

"The search area is confined to several points of interest that law enforcement officers are looking at," explains FBI Special Agent Jeff Killeen.

At the middle of that search is 1903 Vadis Road, the same address Ralph Lunsford, Aliayah's step-father, had when he was arrested in 2009 for allegedly attacking a family member with an ax.

"We received some information from the community that we deemed credible," says Killeen.

The FBI also moved it's mobile command center from the state police barracks in Weston, to the Midway Volunteer Fire Department. The FBI says they can't comment on what, if anything, they've found.

"People want to put the family down saying

I don't mean to be judgemental but c'mon it took the family HOW long to do an interview? ...This little one has had NO one to BE HER voice and your darn right Im mad at the family. And I'm sorry, I don't buy the excuse -we thought we weren't allowed to say anything.

I'm sorry if I sound hateful, but TOO many days have gone by with this little girl gone. I don't think its a good sign that they are searching that land. :(

I wonder if he moved from the vadis location to auburn recently. I can't find out how to tell. But if he owns that property, it should be listed on his RSO page. The property owner would be listed at the courthouse. I'm surprised the media hasn't reported who owns the property. Just that RL used to live there.

I don't think this family is very close. I wonder how long it had been since the family members say Aliayah.

LE is going to release more pictures next week? Wonder where they found them and why didn't they release them sooner?

WOW this is absolutely new information! I really hope he's not just looking for his 15 minutes, because this is a seedy way of getting it...
I hope LE knows ALOT more than WE do!!

What is up with that? There is finally a plea from the family and it comes from a great aunt & a great uncle? Where in the heck is the immediate family?

In jail or getting ready to go to jail? My opinion only. Mom has a lawyer. why doesn't she just let him talk if she's to upset to do it herself?

That is one nice thing about WV RSO laws-if they own property it has to be listed! I will write wchs and ask them who owns the property they are searching!! :)

And they can't figure out WHY people might be angry with the family? C'mon-I would STILL be throwing a fit if my dog vanished. It is a very sad world we live in when little ones go missing, and the parents feel like they owe NOONE an explanation.
