There is a news poll at the link below, regarding the newly offered reward.

I was surprised to see the majority of people who voted, felt the reward would not help in the search for Aliayah.

We might disagree with another posters opinions, but we do so in a respectful manner.

so true...things here pale in comparison to some of the things said and done on other missing person boards that are out there.

I do not understand why everyone is so preoccupied about having more pictures of Aliayah. If she is alive, it does not take "new pictures" to get her back. I think this picture issue is a moot point!

Vickie, I have a ton of respect for you putting yourself out there. I have no questions for you, but just want to say that YOU are the special one in this family, for stepping forward like this. It is a thankless and generous position that you are taking.

Vickie, I have a ton of respect for you putting yourself out there. I have no questions for you, but just want to say that YOU are the special one in this family, for stepping forward like this. It is a thankless and generous position that you are taking.

I think the point is that newer pictures would help the general public identify Aliayah if they were to see her. We are seeing pictures from Christmas 2010. That is almost a whole year ago. A small child's looks can change drastically in that time.
"If Aliayah is still alive" (your words, not mine) and has been abducted, those new pictures may be just the thing to get her back. The public needs to be looking for a 3 yr old, not a 2 yr old. That is also why missing children organizations release time enhanced photos of missing children. They realize the public needs to know what they look like now. All IMO.

Looks change as a children grow. Newer pictures may be a more accurate image of what she looks like now.

I have never seen a case like this before, where facebook has been used so much. I've followed the Earnest Francis case since he went missing. His mom used facebook a lot in a similiar way, but without as many family members. They still are.
