Hi all. I too live in Charleston and have been following this case. At work yesterday, someone brought up the idea that there is a bus that runs on I-64 from Kanawha to Putnam County and back for Marshall University students. The person that dumped the vehicle could have possibly caught that bus back to Charleston. We also discussed the fact that the BF did not try to contact Kathy in any way to let her know she'd left her cell phone. As you've discussed she never went anywhere without it. It is common sense that people were calling her cell phone over the period of those couple of days so why did the BF not answer it. I find him to be at least a POI. I wish we'd hear some news.

She was last seen at the Southridge Wal-Mart April 24. The pictures released Thursday are from a surveillance camera at the store, according to information from the Sheriff's Department.

The pictures show Goble entering the store.

Now, that is interesting! Does the bus run on Sundays? I searched and didn't see anything that said it didn't.

The car was left about 2 miles from the Crooked Creek stop. It's still a little ways to walk and not be seen. Still, that's definitely an idea.

Are we sure that her phone and everything else was left at her boyfriend's house? I originally heard it was at a "relative" of his. What little I've heard seems to change around depending on what station I watch.

Hi Looking. Yes it is a good trek but who would really suspect you if you were leaving a vehicle that appeared to be broken down and you were just driving by. I think the bus is very plausible.

I am sad there has been no new reports on Kathy. I feel sure that the Charleston police are working diligently to find out what happened but as with all cases, we get antsy. Looking I had never heard about her phone being anywhere other than her BF's or her "friend's" as the paper and news have said.

Is there a public rest area for travelers on I-64 near where her car was found?

I am wondering if the rest area property were checked after she disappeared?

I looked it up on a map before, there were no rest areas there.

What about going west on I-64 in Putnam County heading towards Huntington? Is there a rest area in Putman County?

Charleston Woman Has Been Missing for a Month

It was around 9 p.m. April 24 that Goble is said to have arrived at her friend's house on Kenna Drive.

"At that point we just do not know what happened," Lt. Crosier said.

According to the investigation there is a 9 hour period of time that investigators know very little about. The next morning two people reported seeing Goble's vehicle parked along Interstate 64 headed westbound just before the Crooked Creek exit.

"If we can determine what happened during those hours we know that can lead us to Kathy," Crosier said.

cat:
No one is posting about this poor woman who just disappeared off the face of the earth and no one seems to care. I read where her stuff was found at the friends house, what does he have to say about that. Didn't I read he has grown sons that live with him? Come on people lets get some sleuthing going here. moo

I definitely care. I have posted quite a bit in this thread. I will agree it is a thread that we can't seem to get going. Someone knows something.

I just got caught up on this case. I can not believe there hasn't been more stated about the friend! How does he explain why her stuff was there but she wasn't? Did he not see her leave? It's mind-boggling!

She left her wallet and cell phone behind and parked a car that was running fine on the side of the road. It does not add up.
