I’ve wondered the same thing. But I’m guessing prosecutors can’t make anything “stick enough” for the effort they’d put into holding them accountable. That’s no excuse and we know the court of public opinion will crucify them until their dying breath. There’s no law against being morally or ethically bankrupt.
What's weird is they didn't seem all that bothered that he ended up how he did. Maybe in their own minds, that's justice enough? Sparing the Petito family a trial. I think they knew everything that he'd done.

After watching the Netflix doc, I've never understood how Brian left in the car and LE thought he was Roberta?
Did they not see Roberta between the time he left and the family reported him as missing? The car stayed at the nature preserve the whole time.
And don't get me started on Roberta and Cassie's laughter about the "mistaken identity"
Horrible people yucking it up when two young adults are kissing.

Four years ago today, September 19th, Gabbys remains were found in Wyoming.

Her beautiful life had been stolen at the hands of someone who was supposed to love her. 💔

“Happy 27th birthday #GabbyPetito. Even though you’re not here the way we wish you were, your light never left us,” her father Joseph captioned a carousel of photos.

“It lives in every memory, every laugh we shared, and in the love that still fills our hearts every single day.”

“Today Gabby would be 27 years old, I hope she’s proud of what we are doing. I miss her so much, this is hitting harder than expected,” her mom Nichole posted alongside a video of Gabby’s childhood photos.
