I'm not sure if this is relevant, but according to Rocky Mountain Power, all power was restored to Salt Lake City the evening of the 20th. https://twitter.com/RMP_Utah/status/1428844459538661383 (Here's another article from ABC4 that says the same)

There were, however, outages in Ogden still through the 21st.
https://twitter.com/RMP_Utah/status/1429237083395211268

THIS ARTICLE from the Salt Lake Tribune on the 21st suggests only a "few hundred" homes in Salt Lake City were without power, while Weber County (where Ogden is located) still had thousands without power.

Is GP's dad misremembering the day of the Uber Eats?

(I'm in Utah, so I'm just trying to pin down the timeline of when she was in SLC/Ogden and what they might have done or where they might have gone during that time, since that seems to be around the time when *something* changed.)

I could get on board with the fact they may have had a fight and broke up, and it was decided he would drive the van back to Florida while she would continue on or make other arrangements.

What falls apart after that is that she has had no contact with her family, and from everything we have read, she talked to her family at least three times a week. It's unnerving there has been no contact. Something has happened to her. I don't believe she freaked out and walked off and has purposefully not contacted her parents, friends, or cousin. Despite where the truth lies, I don't believe this will have a good outcome.
Oh..I only think that is what he will say..not what I think..he will probably say someone else did something bad to her and that is why she hasn't contacted family..so he says, he wasn't the last to see her..imo..

“Cooperate ... we’ve got questions, maybe you’ve got the answers, maybe you don’t, but there’s only one way we can find out,” said Joe Petito on “The News with Shepard Smith.”

I am quoting three paragraphs from the Daily Mail article above. I bolded a few parts.

"She [i.e.Gabby's mother]said she texted Gabby on August 27 and 30, but now says she isn't sure if her daughter was on the other end of the exchange because it wasn't verbal and she didn't share any photos of herself.

She said, 'It was just a text. I did not verbally speak to her. I can't say much, but she's no longer with the van. I don't want to say anything more than that but for people looking for her, I want them to look for her now, not look for that van anymore.'

She told DailyMila.com, 'It didn't sound stressed or anything like that. It was just a little bit weird, the things that she was saying.' She didn't elaborate further.

So apparently Mom received a text purportedly from Gabby where she said she and the fiancé had split up and the fiancé had the van. Strange.

well.....
Last person to see Gabby.
won't talk

And my guess is that he high-tailed it out of Wyoming and drove straight back to Florida where, along with other things he did, he packed up her belongings into a storage unit because he knew she wasn't coming back and wanted to clear her out of his life.

It would probably take close to 3 full days to drive back, so he arrives somewhere around the 29th at the earliest. Phone records may show where he was.

Maybe she left with another guy. Maybe she left him and he doesn't know where she went.

He just needs to be honest and forthcoming. He's not building much of a future for himself, at this rate.

I don't think we can necessarily determine anything about the content of Gabby's texts to her mother based upon her mother's words.

I mean, at this point she knows "Gabby is not with the van", because the police have almost assuredly told her that they have the van and that Gabby was not found with it.

I don't use Depop, but wondering if there's any chance that the site just uses the generic language "listed" [blank] hours ago for other types of item changes; like what some of us might more properly call "renewing" a listing, either automatically or manually... in which case, such language (and a concomitant refreshing of the listing) might have nothing to do with Gabby's clicking some checkbox; but rather, more within the seller's account, independent of anything that a buyer such as Gabby might do. Does anyone know?
I think you’re right. I don’t have an account anymore to personally check but I just looked it up and read some comments from users who claimed the post date updates to the update date.

And it appears that the life goals section is also shared with BL's mom.... and BL's mom pinned a baby beach blanket

And now they act like they never knew her. Self preservation and circling of wagons is what I see. I hope their attorney has schooled them on what obstruction of justice is.

Mother of missing Gabby Petito says boyfriend and his family IGNORED her desperate texts | Daily Mail Online
...
She's also questioning Brian's trip back to Florida in August to help his father move their things into a storage unit. She wonders why it was necessary to move Gabby's things during their road trip and what became of her stuff.

North Point, FL is only two hours away from the Orlando airport. Delta has multiple daily nonstop flights from SLC to Orlando. (LINK)

If this trip took place while they were in SLC, BL could have easily taken one of the 4.5hr nonstop flights and been back in a day or two while GP waited around SLC for him.

IMO, the timing of this trip is going to be very telling.

Wow. Someone else logged into her account? Or... ? o_O
It’s actually nothing. I’m going to edit and delete my original post. Apparently their posted date updates to the current date if a change is made to the listing which is totally deceiving but yeah, my bad!

My interpretation of ‘no longer with the van’ was that the mother said that at the start of when Gabby was declared missing—and that there was no point in looking for her in the white van, because they already knew that the boyfriend had driven it back to Florida, and she wasn’t there.

Unless I misunderstood things, that statement by the mother didn’t refer to the phone call on Aug 25, (or thereabouts.)

Do we actually know where both of Gabby's parents live? We ought not to, as we aren't supposed to sleuth them. So any knowledge of when they moved from NY. (if they did), is not sleuthable.

At any rate, in this case, with no clear "last sighting" spot from which to date the missing person's report (yet), it's customary to start the case from the person's home jurisdiction. I'm guessing that it's possible Gabby still had a NY DL or similar.

We can discuss MSM, though, which places Gabby's dad in Long Island - perhaps that's why he hired a NY lawyer. Where is Gabby's actual home, at this point?
^^bbm

We do have confirmation of GP's family residences from MSM.

NS/JS reside in Suffolk County, NY (Blue Point) -- where the police report was filed.

JP and his wife moved from Selden, NY to Vero Beach, FL in June 2021.

I don't understand OP statement about JP hiring NY lawyer?

MSM provided that BL family hired a NY lawyer (Bertolino) that made a public statement on their behalf. (BL and his parents previously lived in Suffolk County).

I'm sure he'd have a record of that on his app.

Absolutely, and the fact that he is almost wants his photos to appear as if he is solo, zero indication GB is present with him. Almost like he did something sinister and wanted to enjoy his last day or two of freedom climbing rocks and eating melon before booking it back to FL to cover up his crimes..

This reminds me so much of Patrick Frazee. He wouldn't help with searches he wouldn't show up at the press conference for the police. He wouldn't give an interview to law enforcement. It just reminds me of it so much.
Yes it’s reminiscent of his behavior - I mentioned in a prior thread that even Fotis Dulos in his arrogance surrendered his phone with his attorney the next day after Jennifer was reported missing - he underestimated the ability of LE to retrieve data
