Watching CNN just now and John Walsh was on and he is angry. Pointed out the huge mistakes that were made in this case. He does sound very hopeful however that his show tonight will bring in some good tips on BLs whereabouts. He said he does not think he's in the swamp. And the newest info about the arguing in the reataraunt was also covered. Poor Gabby, I can remember multiple times in restaurants and my abusive ex and I arguing, him being mad, making a scene, me leaving crying. This is so dang sad to know this was Gabby's life too. It's like listening to a rerun of some parts of my life.

There's a jump cut in that video right before it shows the cross, so it does not show the entire walk to where she was found. Also, the creek that is crossed in that video is not Spread Creek. It's a tiny creek that runs next to where they parked.

Gray Hughes measured the distance using google earth on one of his lives and it is appx 870 yards.

870 yards is almost a mile? I haven’t seen anyone else reporting it as that far. Everyone was reporting it as 200-300 yards. Which may have only been where the tent was set up and not back by the creek.

It doesn’t really matter that much but the contradicting information from different sources is maddening. I believe this map is accurate from that day on live feeds but without the location of the other pin who knows what the actual distance is.

They can hold him/arrest him. His legal status will be upgraded when/if they find him alive.
If his phone is in the reserve and he’s not they will be looking for a while. Throwing off LE with his phone at the reserve while he’s in another state. They aren’t looking for a phone they are assuming the phone is on him and I doubt it is

Geez… I didn’t realize the restaurant sighting was so close to the time the Behune family saw the van. In theory, he could have lost it on Gabby after that restaurant situation happened and she could have been dead or dying in the back of the van when the Behune’s drove by, thus necessitating him to quickly shut the back door when he heard them coming. MOO.

I feel that’s exactly what transpired..after another instance of aggression came on (one prior being the fight le were called for) him hitting, slapping, pushing away whatever he does - it turned to taking her life this time.

Separately I saw in msm a neighbor reporting BL family bought a “shell” camper. They then said about a week and a half after BL came back with the Van, him and his parents packed the camper and went away for the weekend..that would be very close to when GP family reported her missing, however still BEFORE they reported her missing. Any thoughts that weekend trip was back to GP body to clean any possible evidence left behind or stage it so it appeared anything but being done by BL The camper was new to them so they felt confident it would maintain their cover in doing so. Then back home - I think that would take more than a 2 day weekend but they could have gone and back in a weekend if they left early Friday.

This case got a maximum of 60 seconds on John Walsh's show tonight.
Really? If you blinked you missed it!
Ok.
MOO
He’s not wanted for anything ( but really for murder) so maybe it had to refer only to the missing persons report for him legally.

Do we KNOW this is the site they were refering to. I haven’t seen anything that says the merry piglet couple was at spread creek, just that the passed them north of town.

The article doesn't infer the merry piglet couple was at spread creek. There are two different places, different times of the day. Two sightings from different people referenced in the article quoted.

I'm not understanding the concept of "setting up camp". They camp in a van. They might own a tent, but that doesn't mean it has to be set up every night. Besides, this was not a legal camping spot. It was just a pull over. If you had a bed in the van, you can simply lay low. IMO no way you're advertising your presence by pitching an illegal tent. So, I don't think we'll want to assume we have to figure out where and when they put up a tent.
Just to illustrate, if you use any light in a tent, they kind of jump out of the darkness at you. No way you'd be out there doing this in an illegal spot. IMO

Ah ok, you caught me being a non-camper here. I had no idea it was an illegal spot for a tent and had seen their photos where it appeared they used a tent often so assumed. Wrong assumption it sounds!

Do we know specifically what camp site this refers to?
Spread creek … the couple was the Bethune Family (Red, White and Bethune on YouTube)

I thought that might be true for quite a while, but I changed my mind after the neighbors remembered BL and his parents preparing for a "camping trip" and leaving for some days. I believe the Mustang was a McGuffin (ruse) as the Mustang story arose after the neighbor had seen them pack, leave in the camper/topper and return. BL was long gone by then.
I think the Mustang/wildlife preserve story was fabricated to give the impression the Laundries are on an equal plane with GP's family...missing child. It is not true and has been concocted to "rehabilitate" the Landries, because of their inexplicably cold silence and non-cooperation - by their legal counsel. It served three purposes, dumbing down the utter hatred fomented against the Landries, giving BL a head start and sending an army of LE personnel on a wild goose chase.
THIS^^^ !!!! 100%

like i said on the other page i have a copy from ID's website and its not even on there that i can find, maybe it was on broadcast stations only ( would make sense to reach a wider area ) or the broadcast version was changed but not the digital upload

Found this interactive map/timeline that seems to line up with most (if not all) of the events we have in our pinned posts here. Just a neat little resource.
This is very cool, thank you! It really puts into perspective how much ground these two covered.

Maybe he said 870 feet? I'm not sure now. IAE, there is a definite jump cut in that video.

I like what the creators are doing and it says they’re working on adding sources, etc. Thanks for the share.

Based on the video of the DV traffic stop, the back of their van was a total wreck. It looked completely packed with crap. I’m not sure how they slept in it at all. A tent would have been more roomy and probably not as hot.

Do we know when or by whom he was officially pronounced "missing"? The FBI or the parents or other? I have not read all the threads here (has anyone read them all?!), so I guess missed that info along with whatever else... TIA.
His parents, reported him missing last Friday night. We have no proof LE saw BL in Florida at all. Neighbors have said they saw him the week of Sept 1 acting normal, riding a bike with his mom, mowing the lawn, helping his dad fix up the new camper for the pickup truck. No one (not LE or neighbors), to date, has publicly stated they saw him after Sept. 11 in Florida except for his parents who claim he went hiking Sept 14.
