Its.possible.they put their money in one bank account !

If he was also on the account, I don't think he'd be arrested for it. I think it was Gabby's account.

As someone else here has pointed out, you can still find a corpse with IR if there are enough bugs on it.

JMO but I think he had his escape planned out and stock piled cash and whatever else he bought for specifically going off the grid. At GP’s expense.

Are they being deliberately vague when they say the credit cards were fraudulently used in Wyoming "and elsewhere"?

Is that to hold back some info, or simply not to reel off a list of other places he's used the cards in? I just wonder why they'd state Wyoming but not the other places if there are more?

Because they don't have to specify anything other than it involved more than just one state, and they are still piecing together data collected from his journey.

Don't want to give his or his parents' lawyers any head start.

Using her card for the trip home makes it super hard to sell a “it wasn’t me” defense. Like even if you could convince someone that they broke up and she told him to take the van and go away…she would have needed her card to pay her own expenses.

Not that I have thought for a moment that there was any plausible explanation for him coming back without her, I’m just thinking from a legal stand point, how could they spin it for his defense. MOO

It'd be $400 TOPS unless he took a really really long way. Im sorry if this has been stated. I'm so behind.
Your right. Over the past few months I have been doing a lot of fantasy van trip planning using an older Promaster in my gas calculation. They get about 12-14 mpg. That transit probably gets twice that. My bad. I need to get some sleep tonight. Maybe they can close these threads earlier ;)

and possibly squirrelling away supplies/food/clothes/travel tickets (??) for his eventual "disappearance."
Yeap, he could have purchased supplies and stashed anywhere on the drive to FL.

Is it possible.

Bl goes to.mummy and daddy. Tells them there was an accident bla bla bla.

They then use her card in one place wile he goes to another place.

Is this possible that he is simply creating an alibi

Feds are gonna fed. The US Marshalls will now be looking for this guy. They are good.
They sure are. I once had to be fingerprinted for a Federal job by them and they walked me past their jailed perps to the back office. It was terrifying. Each criminal was chained hands and feet and were some very rough looking characters. I was so glad to get out of there!

I stepped away. And I have same question. That’s all they have after autopsy? i guess they were able to establish her time of death to be before Sept 1. Not allowed to use dead person’s bank account. But seriously, what if his argument is that he didn’t know she was dead? And he had her permission and was using it all along?
Flimsy argument that will fail. Other criminals are caught all the time on surveillance cameras at ATM's using their victims cards. Claiming that they gave you permission doesn't fly.

Don't they usually have a daily withdrawal limit at ATMs though?

Yes, good point. Maybe he did it over a few days since the warrant says August 30, 2021 through September 1, 2021.

It looks like Capitol One has a $600-$1k limit from checking accounts. I don't know if they have a limit for savings accounts. Capital One

Food, drink, car may have needed oil, tolls

In 2 days? I dont think that's likely. He wasn't stopping for surf and turf I'd assume. Also, pretty sure no tolls.

Its alwaaaaaaays the money that gets you caught.

Wow...he bought something(s) expensive (at least by my standards) in that 24 hour period....wish we knew what he purchased on Gabby's card....

A good sum of it was most likely for gas to get home.

This will also allow them to look at anything and everything with their resources *IF* they didn't have a sealed warrant before.

To me, this says he immediately planned to run and hide. The FBI also knows what he bought, or if this was ATM transactions. ATM transactions would make it harder to track him down if he got cash. But, now all digital forensic resources can be used as well. What did he buy with all that money? Airline ticket? What is the rule for buying a ticket w/ cash nowadays? Has he figured out how to pay someone to get him across the border? If he bought stuff to go into "survival mode" somewhere, did the parents question or see it? WHERE ARE THE RING CAMERAS?? Does the neighborhood not have any?

I wonder if anything Brian has read anything that has influenced where he would go and what he would do?

This is taking an a whole "Don't f with cats" vibe.
I agree that the most obvious answer is that he planned to run, but...

Why didn't he just run then? Why chill at home with your parents for almost two weeks before you decide to disappear?
