Honestly it's the same in Georgia. I can use my husband's bank card and he can use mine. You have to probably be married for it to be legal but I'm not even sure that's true. And no one in stores around here cares about ID anymore. I had all my cards stolen out of my car by some guy a year ago and he went to a mall and charged up tons of expensive sneakers (thousands of dollars worth) in mall stores with my cards. A guy using a card with a random woman's name on it and NO ONE cared. They just took the payments!

I think the days of people checking IDs are long gone. Wish that wasn't true, it just makes theft so much easier!

Her dad could've simply done it as a treat.

BL could have withheld it. That is basic abuser behavior. It’s possible she had a debit card linked to her parents accounts. The hotel room could have left her card a bit drained. It could also have just been parental concern and care. It might not have been something she would spend money on.

Or her dad was just being nice and bought his daughter a pizza to cheer her up. A nice family/daughter gesture. Dads and daughters can be close and comforting.

This begs the question did he always have the card? When her dad ordered Uber Eats, and she had $1,000 in there, why couldn't she order her own. Maybe because she didn't have the card in her possession maybe she wasn't allowed to.

However, is that considered a true confirmation if it's not from law enforcement authorities?

If management/owners showed us video of the couple, or payment by check or card with their name on it, yes I could see that as confirmation.

But not if it's just their word. People are frequently misidentified.

The FBI is very unlikely to provide confirmation for things like this. I think it's unlikely a business would confirm they were there if they weren't 100% sure. They want nothing to do with the publicity either from what I can tell. My understanding is it also was not just a person, it was more like 4 people min.

Yes, there are optimal ways to pack a backpack. However, I wouldn't place much significance on there being a chart on a Pinterest board. Those charts are very common. They are just the kind of graphic Pinterest users because they're info at a glance. It's basic info you get when you buy a pack. I emphasize BASIC. It's not intermediate or advanced. It's, like, "first time user" kind of information.

Buying a gun anywhere requires a federal background check. That would put him on the grid immediately if LE were to look into that.

I thought if it was a private sale (gunshot, flea market, illegally, etc) there is no background check.

While we understand (and see) the resemblance, we do not believe that this is Brian Laundrie. The card in question was taken prior to August 28 from a home in Pooler and does not belong to Gabby.

No, it's really not. The feds got an indictment because he was using HER CARDS. After taking HER vehicle, he also took her CARDS and spent HER MONEY on his escape. It wasn't his money. He wasn't the one doing any work on this trip. He wasn't the one being abused. But he IS the one who killed Gabby.

Is that to hold back some info, or simply not to reel off a list of other places he's used the cards in? I just wonder why they'd state Wyoming but not the other places if there are more?

I am guessing that the parents were told that there was an arrest warrant, which is why they cancelled the press conference after their attorney spoke with the FBI. I also believe that they knew it would be announced today and that is why their attorney (apparently) flew in from NY to meet with them in person today (I have that right, don't I? That their attorney is NY-based?).

Homicide technically just means a person was killed by another person. But there are legal homicides (self-defense, accidents, etc.). If you intended to harm the homicide victim (not including self-defense) and that lead to their death, that's also murder.
