My favorite part of her eye witness account was when she took a turn her Bible on the dash fell into BL’s lap. The irony…
It’s as if it had symbolic meaning….

Yes and so this article reviews those possibilities from an investigator's perspective. Gabby Petito case: Where could Brian Laundrie be 10 days after slipping away?
Personally, I don't feel like that was blood.

I studied the photo for a while and I think it was either tree sap, or just some moisture on the tree bark.

There has been a lot of speculation about the area where Gabby was found as far as areas being sprayed with paint or marked.

If anything of forensic use had been discovered they would be taking it right out of there for further investigation.

I've seen SOCOs take entire doors off the hinges and into a lab before for forensic analysis.

They'd simply remove the section of tree that they felt had trace evidence on, bag it and take it with them.

Yes, some swabs would be taken at site, but I don't believe they would leave a potential crime scene with markers pointing out a murder victim's blood, and other evidence.

I'll see if i can find it. It was a video (if i remember correctly) from Nancy Grace talking to an ME

Jalovec said she spontaneously decided to visit the Chapel of the Sacred Heart for a 5 PM church service on August 29, which is just over a mile away from where Laundrie reportedly jumped out of Baker’s vehicle.

It is certainly ironic but hopefully he has another book thrown at him soon!

i don't know if they still do this but highway patrol used to send the plane up and what they would do is they would time people from A to B and charge them over a distance for speeding instead of a camera

could be part of the search as well, maybe they are trying to manage the massive amount of traffic and vehicles in the area
Fl Hwy Ptrl = N610Hp... should it appear again...

The reason I think this is a great possibility is because if my child was going on a trip cross country I would do the same thing for them. We know she had no other source of income coming in this summer (unless she was receiving UE). JMO
Not sure if this is helpful or not related to the Capital 360 accounts. When my kids were young, Capital did a huge promotion, gave everyone setting up an account something like $200. I set up checking and savings, and then they had a promotion to add kids. I added my kids, under my "umbrella". They are independent, sort of. While I can access all of the accounts from my app, I can and do add money, and can transfer money between all accounts, they can only see and access their own. They are in their 20s now, and these are still the only checking and savings accounts they have, they work great! I think it is possible that Gabby's accounts are similar to this. MOO

I don’t know how BL <modsnip> can have enough food and water if he is indeed in the reserve.

I’m thinking he’s somewhere with much nicer living conditions.

Find him.

Thought/speculation I had last night, he may be of age to still have living grandparents that might now be in a nursing home/assisted living but their house hasn't been sold. If they lived within a day or so, that would be convenient without needing anyone else to aide/abet his hiding. I'm sure others have sleuthed that rabbit hole elsewhere.

True, but we don't know for sure who was driving.

Im sure the cops know exactly who was driving. Same person who used Gabby’s bank card on the way home. They know who it was. It was BL.

as far as i know Gabby wasn't interfered with much where she was found
That's what I remember, too. Of course, we can't be sure, but from what I saw, the place where she was found didn't look like it had been disturbed by predators.

I read this, and found it to have a solid basis of thought into the fbi actions and Laundrie's Gabby Petito case: Where could Brian Laundrie be 10 days after slipping away?

When I consider the loss of emotional control. It doesn't seem like the first series of episodes with Gabby. Its potential a pattern of episodes that were experienced in his parents home around the parents. It potentially was a pattern of outbursts tolerated by the parents when he was a budding teen. Is there a potential history of these other outbursts with other girls in his youth. This family tolerance and compensating might contribute to the parents behavior.

A series of triggers, loss of sleep, nutrition, lack of immediate family, and the simple routine of being at home with his parents and the things that keep him calm. This kind of behavior doesn't just happen, it is formed over time. It broods internally and the neurotic thinking not evident until the triggers start to escalate.

So now, he is on the run. Hoping to survive. but while he believes he has control, ... he will slip. As the url implies, it's a matter of time.
I agree completely. And per what I read from their HS classmates these ups and downs were continual from the get go

Regarding the timeline of events. On Aug 21, Gabby tells her dad that "They lost power at the hotel" If that was how she worded it, wonder if that could be a tell as to BL's location

It's not odd at all. Number of times I've watched the news in the last 6 months: ZERO. I knew Gabby disappeared because I'm a member of many hiking/camping groups, but I never bothered reading the details until a few days ago. If I had not been in those groups I would be clueless about the details of her case still.

This from a person who's been a member of this site for many, many years. There are still a lot of people in this world who don't pay attention to the news, don't delve into sensational stories, don't frequent social media, and they're probably the better for it because they didn't just spend the last four days glued to a laptop, ignoring their real life like I just did. :)

Ha, this is so true actually. I can't even tell you the number of times I've made myself a cup of tea the past few evenings, only for it to go cold because I'm absolutely absorbed in this case and the thread on here!

I get what you're saying about people maybe not reading the news or being on social media (the latter I try to avoid at all costs with the exception of this forum and IG), but it's the fact that a body was found in the area where she was. I guess I thought that maybe word of mouth or rumour as she was traveling around and talking to other hikers/vanlifers etc would have alerted her to the fact that she'd been near where a murder took place..

I'm a little surprised her family is opening her memorial service to the public. I hope "the public" is on their best behavior!

  • #817
It's also discussed every night on CNN and MSNBC shows. They all picked up the story because ratings.

Maybe stick with PBS or a public news service, they won't sensationalise a poor woman's murder for advertising money.

It's entirely possible the FBI/local LE have dozens of other reports from people who haven't made their story visible on social media. We wouldn't know.
THIS. Not everyone that sent a tip in to the FBI has run to MSM or social media to share their findings. Some people prefer to remain private. IMO

With all the people around and the fact that there are no fish in that creek (that i ever have known) Not sure any wildlife other than bugs and the usual would have been around

Can BL be charged with grand theft and interstate transportation of a stolen vehicle in relation to his stealing the van and personal items from the deceased Gabby?
Not so sure. He was seen on many videos driving the Van with her, he seemed to be the key holder. Why I have a doubt he would be charged. Is because I had give a house cleaner the key to my home. She could not disarm my security system. When the police arrived she told them she was the house cleaner. When I questioned them on how easy it would be to do a break in with that reason for being in my home. They told me because she had a key. They told me anytime you give a person a key you are giving them permission of entry. So you change your locks. So I would imagine that would include many things if you’ve given a person a key.
