For clarification, is there any other evidence indicating BL is or was in the reserve aside from his parents’ statement to LE?
Not that has been shared. But, there is something the feds know. Whether it’s cellphone pings, other witness reports or trail cam video. He easily could have thrown evidence and ran.

Can BL be charged with grand theft and interstate transportation of a stolen vehicle in relation to his stealing the van and personal items from the deceased Gabby?

A JB and Walt crossover with Brian Entin? The WFLA live stream is now like the Avengers of South Florida tv reporters.
Does the updated TFR mean anything special? This search seems like a repeat of yesterday

Theory: MOO....Maybe LE is continuing the swamp search as financial leverage for the L family to break rank and start talking. MOO...If the Ls would be financially responsible for the cost of the search after giving false info that, could easily wipe out their savings and other assets.

Florida Fish & Wildlife (N118FW) looks like it's incoming. Was there a coupla days ago, IIRC.

Does it not seem odd that if that were the case, GP - being alone as a young woman (safety standpoint), especially a young known to be desperate at times *not* to be separated from BL - would have reached out to family or her friend, Rose, while he was off hiking in a huff? Given other glimpses into their life (included how distraught she was during the traffic stop), she does not really seem to be the type who would just shrug her shoulders, lock the doors, and keep working.
I do wonder what would have happened if Red, white and bethune did stop. If she was still alive at that point, would they have noticed anything suspicious, bruises, wounds etc

I read this, and found it to have a solid basis of thought into the fbi actions and Laundrie's Gabby Petito case: Where could Brian Laundrie be 10 days after slipping away?

When I consider the loss of emotional control. It doesn't seem like the first series of episodes with Gabby. Its potential a pattern of episodes that were experienced in his parents home around the parents. It potentially was a pattern of outbursts tolerated by the parents when he was a budding teen. Is there a potential history of these other outbursts with other girls in his youth. This family tolerance and compensating might contribute to the parents behavior.

A series of triggers, loss of sleep, nutrition, lack of immediate family, and the simple routine of being at home with his parents and the things that keep him calm. This kind of behavior doesn't just happen, it is formed over time. It broods internally and the neurotic thinking not evident until the triggers start to escalate.

So now, he is on the run. Hoping to survive. but while he believes he has control, ... he will slip. As the url implies, it's a matter of time.

Everything is say in this post is my opinion.

Regarding the parents being prosecuted for accessory after the fact. It is my opinion, they won't be. Earlier is stated that it was of little use. I believe the DA would not be too interested, because they are usually not. State or Fed. The threat is often used as leverage to get someone to talk. Outside of that it's less common for family to be prosecuted. Keep in mind, everyone has family of some sort, and juries are made up people with family. Just my opinion.

Regarding BL. He is most likely not in the reserve. I believe the reserve was a diversion. Nothing else.

I doubt BL was as outdoorsy as he portrayed on social media. As evidence, I offer that they drove around a lot from place to place to get pics for social media, as apposed to spending extended periods of time in the wild. Heck, there are Places where we can build a fire, and roast weenies in our local park. Doesn't make it living off the land. Also, that we know of they seemed to spend a bit of time in hotels and eating out.
Agree with the caveat of wasted time and manpower devoted to the reserve, that might influence them to pursue charges, otherwise not worth the cost and time.

I agree, the proximity of the body to the van does seem significant. But what also seems significant in regards to that, imo, is how long the van sat there. If BL killed GP prior to the 29th, why would he leave the van in place and go hiking, only to then risk coming back to the van hours or days later? With other campers in the campground, it would have been all too easy for someone to have come across her body while he was hiking. And why would he want to hitchhike and be seen by more than one person, then be dropped off at the very campground where he knew the body was? I don't buy he tried to plan this as an alibi. If that was the case, he would have no reason to then run.

The more I stew over these details, the more I'm leaning towards what I posted on page 1 of this thread. I think they camped at Spread Creek after their visit to Jenny Lake. On the 27th, they ran to Jackson for money and lunch, planning to head to Yellowstone next. But something happened at Merry Piglets that caused a fight which continued to the campground, so BL left in a huff to hike, for a break, leaving GP alone at the campground, maybe with no phone or phone service. He hitchhiked back on the 29th by 6:30ish pm, got in another fight with GP for ditching her there, and that fight lead to her death. He panicked, picked up camp, packed the van, headed for Jackson to get gas, and booked. JMO.

Yeah the leaving the van and hiking with her body nearby the van seems odd. The airstream/blue heeler owner said she thought it was odd where it was parked because it was an undesignated spot and was surprised they were not asked to move along by a ranger. So not sure I would risk dumping a body near a van parked in an undesignated area nearby. I wonder if he went hiking with her, and abandoned her, hitched hiked home, she came back later that night furious, cause he left her, they got in a fight and he killed her.

Total speculation, but it is a theory I have not heard yet. Not sure if it fits in with the timelines etc

Does the updated TFR mean anything special? This search seems like a repeat of yesterday

they are not sure either, they thought it was weird this morning as well

since every other day its only been to 400 feet, so interesting why they need so much airspace

If that were the case wouldn't it stand to reason that more people in that area would have seen or heard something and come forward by now? That camping area was full. Thats why red, white and bethune turned around and left

It's entirely possible the FBI/local LE have dozens of other reports from people who haven't made their story visible on social media. We wouldn't know.

When there's no obvious cause of death, a toxicology test is needed. They test mainly for opiates, amphetamines, marijuana, alcohol and barbiturates but rarely include poisons. If a drug is detected in the first test, scientists confirm the results by running more tests, which can take several more days and might have to be repeated to ensure accuracy. The tests are very complex and can take weeks.

I have a feeling that they won’t find anything of any consequence in the tox report, that cannot be explained by regularly prescribed meds, if any. I think they do have a distinct cause of death that they are not yet ready to reveal. But this is only my opinion.

I don’t know how BL <modsnip> can have enough food and water if he is indeed in the reserve.

I’m thinking he’s somewhere with much nicer living conditions.

Find him.

I saw blood drips on at least one log there, marked #16 with a paint marking from LE at the scene where she was found. IMO that would indicate some kind of attack that was spread out over an area. It's horrible to speculate about, but yes I noticed while watching their search from the helicopter footage that bits of evidence at the scene were spread out. Very sad to think she was maybe trying to fight and/or run for her life from her killer, in this theory at least. I think LE knows how she was killed by now but we might not know for months. I think forensically they can figure out what happened without BL telling them much if anything. IMO

Personally, I don't feel like that was blood.

I studied the photo for a while and I think it was either tree sap, or just some moisture on the tree bark.

There has been a lot of speculation about the area where Gabby was found as far as areas being sprayed with paint or marked.

If anything of forensic use had been discovered they would be taking it right out of there for further investigation.

I've seen SOCOs take entire doors off the hinges and into a lab before for forensic analysis.

They'd simply remove the section of tree that they felt had trace evidence on, bag it and take it with them.

Yes, some swabs would be taken at site, but I don't believe they would leave a potential crime scene with markers pointing out a murder victim's blood, and other evidence.

MOO
