Brian Entin said that he hasn't tweeted out live updates on two occasions just in case Brian Laundrie is out there watching his coverage. Clearly there's more happening at the reserve than we are allowed to know
Keeping my fingers crossed that by end of day he will be in FBI custody.

Yes! I was just listening to his live stream and caught that too. Very interesting. Gives me some hope.

My theory is that he has a burner phone in the reserve and they are getting pings that are moving around, indicating that it's in the possession of someone who's alive. And if there is a phone in the reserve, even if not registered to him by name, they are presuming it's him because it is closed and no one is supposed to be there. JMO.
I was thinking this as well. I feel like his parents called him when they were in the library yesterday. JMO

Great defense for BL if it ever comes to that.
The Moab police should have known! If only they had done their job and read my mind!!
I don’t believe all of this blame Moab really has anything to do with this case.

Is it just me or am I missing the point of continuing to search this swamp? If it's 75% just watery swamp, it's not conducive to BL hiding out in this type of condition.

He would be on dry land (imo) he's not a fish or water animal. Unless they are looking for a body possibly?

The consensus IMHO was they had credible leads most likely from you know who. Besides its 25,000 acres and the dry ground brush cover, there has to be over 90%.

But yes I don't think he is there, I'm believing more and more it's subterfuge.

This might be dumb but if he was in there with a phone would he be really easy to find? Or would the 'ping' encompass a huge area, & be hard to localize?

Can someone recommend a good podcast that covers this? The ones I’m finding are not exactly current/don’t keep up. Thank you!
I don’t know if this is considered a podcast but I’ve permission to share this link. It’s different…

I don't think anyone is blaming the police for her death. They had contact with them before she died. That is part of the timeline and has everything to do with the case. Police should not be expected to read minds. They are expected to take stock of the people in front of them and you know...like...do their jobs.

I believe it just gives a general area. I'm sure that there are various towers in the area that the phone would be pinging off. Maybe why they are now moving to the East side of the Reserve. JMO

On the video of the search by LE of the Laundrie home on Monday, I saw where they found what appeared to be an empty handgun case in the Mustang. Has that gun been accounted for that we might know of?
I think you are referring to the external hard drive they found. At least I think I read that’s what people were thinking was a phone that they passed across the seat. I can’t keep up with what’s true and what’s just people talking.

Thank you, this is helpful!

I’m starting to lose hope that BL will be found.

On BE's twitter feed earlier, he said that he had been talking to someone who had 30+ year experience with the FBI and profiling criminals. It was her professional opinion, he recounted, that she felt 100% he would be found alive - there was no doubt in her mind. So, we will see.

I, for one, would like for him to be found alive so that we can all get answers on what happened.

Gabby said she never touched the steering wheel. That was BL lying and using it as the reason for a curb crash.
No, she did admit that.

I think that DV training should happen regularly for officers. In this case I feel that the officers took the right actions based on the evidence they had. JMO.
????? They either did not read or totally ignored the report that he was chasing her and slapping her! I'm somewhat forgiving of their ignorance in the moment, because they obviously think the girls are just dramatic crybabies...but I expect that they will pay better attention to reports in the future of this type, and recognize that abused women are AFRAID of their abusers...so, read between the lines, a bit. There WAS EVIDENCE, if they had been paying attention. jmo

I don't think he was fleeing the stop in Moab, certainly not at 45 mph on a straight, flat road. I believe he was yelling at Gabby not to say anything bad about him because if he goes to jail their trip will be over and she'll be stuck there. MOO

High probability he was buying time to get the story straight with Gabbie that they were going to tell to the officer who was in process of pulling them over.

Use find my iphone and you can see how perfectly accurate they can ping a phone to :) We use it when our kids misplace the phone within our house!! :)

You've got to understand, training is one thing, but acting within the bounds of the law is sometimes something else altogether. Police could know in their gut, 100% without question that a party is in a dangerous situation, but if the laws of the state do not permit them to do anything meaningful, then the training then becomes unimpactful. Keep in mind, they're job is to enforce the laws, not serve as marital counselors.

The training for police should make them aware of the dangers of DV situations, the threats either party is facing, and doing what they can to separate and/or diffuse the conflict.

Real meaningful change is going to come through the laws. I'm not a big fan of just trying to separate them for the night. Personally, I think it should be legislated, that if police are called for a DV situation, there should be a mandatory, 72 hour temporary restraining order on both parties. Keeping them separate and giving parties time to settle and think logically about the situation might lead to fewer people going right back into toxic situations.
