I wonder what that is about? I hope Gabby's card was not paying for their meal out.

I think it’s more likely they are trying to determine who was eating out and if BL was with them - when and where did that change.

From Brian Entin’s Q&A livestream:

”The FBI has apparently been going to certain restaurants asking for surveillance video to try see if they had video of the Laundries eating at certain places after Gabby went missing when Brian came back.”

”Yesterday, they released one of these interviews and they talked about the search, but they were really explaining that it’s not just the search at the reserve, they’re doing all sorts of other things behind the scenes too. So, kind of what was mentioned earlier, I heard they had been at several restaurants looking for surveillance video. While the focus seems to be the reserve, I think that there’s a lot of other stuff going on too.”

”So, they are searching at reserve again today. From what I understand, there’s not quite as many officers over there searching, but they are searching.”

Imo they are looking for proof of when Brian really disappeared. And I bet they are targeting certain restaurants based on banking activity. I love this!

All moo.

I’m leaning toward the scenario that they both pushed each other’s buttons, and possibly also really cared for each other at the same time. DV is not always one way with a meek person on one side taking all the abuse. He doesn’t seem to gloss over incidents that occurred between them, or stay mum. He even said, as you pointed out, that she gets worked up and he tries to distance himself to let her calm down. And he admitted he raised his voice. We don’t know what caused her to get worked up, of course, and never will, and we don’t know anything else that took place between them over the years, but I agree that those officers did the best they could in the situation. They spent quite a long time there and took it very seriously. It’s complicated!!

I found a site the other day that talks about “mutual combat domestic violence” and references immature ways to deal with anger and that includes slapping. The author of the site is an attorney named Gregory Forman. I don’t know if inserting a link to his page on the topic is allowed here but here’s a quote from it I found interesting.

“The law really doesn’t know how to treat such “mutual combat” domestic violence. It’s clearly a problem–both for the couple involved and for the children who witness it. However, I’m not certain it needs to be a criminal law problem or a problem in which the law searches for a victim and a perpetrator. The current practice of arresting both parties when law enforcement comes to a scene in which both partners have gotten physical but neither is injured is of questionable benefit. I’ve defended a handful of protection of domestic abuse cases in which a woman claimed to be abused by her male partner in which her own version of events indicated she was the instigator of the domestic violence and that her partner’s response left her with no injury that required medical treatment–often no injury that even left a bruise.

Such couples might need intervention in the form of counseling, but I don’t see much if any benefit from criminal law intervention. These physical altercations are the adult equivalent of fighting pre-schoolers who need to learn to “use your words.” Their dispute resolution method is partially due to immaturity and partially due to a failure to teach dispute resolution in grade school. Telling children to “use your words” may be a prophylactic but isn’t really a method of dispute resolution. Couples whose arguments sometimes devolve into pushing, slapping, or throwing objects can be taught how to better handle conflict. Such lessons can create a calmer family dynamic and break the cycle in which children see adults in intimate relationships resorting to low-level violence when angered and then do the same when they get older.”

She "gets worked up" and he "tries to distance himself" = "not glossing over"??

That's a completely self-serving statement. Especially when it is *known* that he has slapped, hit, and grabbed her face, at the very minimum.

I get some don't care for Dog. I for one am glad he is on the search. Any help finding BL is welcomed help.

So she goes home with Yellowstone friend to Florida and she is found murdered 200 yards from where he had the van parked? How did she happen to be back in Grand Teton?
I didn't word that well. The highly unlikely theory meant they may have talked about how to handle a possible break up, GP would picked be up by Yellowstone girl and return to FL with her. He goes back with van. He leaves to marinate on this in sadness, hiking/camping and returns and she isn't there. He figures it may have already happened (the leaving with Yellowstone girl), waits for a while without any contact and figures she is super super angry. He gives up finding her and leaves...then, we'll, I already wrote all of that possibility. Just a possibility, mind you. Highly unlikely and if we can rule any of this out, it helps narrow our focus.

they might be wise to ask what stores are completely sold out of cheese and peanut butter crackers and go from there ;)

That suggests they are not searching for a living person.

True. But might not be searching for a dead person either (although I suspect they are.) But they could be looking for evidence too. Remember all the water searches in the Stauch case?

I think it’s obvious at this point that they know he isn’t in the reserve but they must do their due diligence in case he did commit suicide there—it makes sense to try to fully rule out that possibility in a very public way so that there is no continued doubt about the capabilities of LE dealing with Gabby’s case.

I am sure they have been doing much smaller ground searches in remote areas walkable from the reserve as well that we are just not privy to.

What did they order, what did she eat. Stomach contents at time of death. JMO
No, they are asking for info on the Laundries restaurant visits after GP disappeared. I take that 'the Laundries' to mean the family.

That's really an interesting scenario because you really are missing many facts from the timeline, so maybe check that out. The main fact of this case is that Gabby's body was found in Wyoming adjacent to where BL parked the van. BL was the only one who ever drove the van, and sometime after Gabby died he drove the van home to Florida and it was in his parent's driveway. He possibly stopped in Illinois and bought gas on Gabby's credit, for which he now has a federal warrant.

The "friend in Yellowstone" said early on she never got a call from Gabby on her birthday about meeting up. The text sent from Gabby's phone to her mother said "Yosemite" which was probably a mistake on BL's part. Anyway, your scenario never happened because the friend said it never happened, and Gabby never made it to Yellowstone.

A deceased Gabby sadly never made it back to Florida.

Agree, though one point: he is wanted for fraud in an amount >$1000. That is not just one stop for gas. [A few people in a prior thread noted that the estimated cost to take that van from Wyoming to Florida would be ~ $270-330.]

Quick repost of the verified reward amount and contributors:

  • Jerry Torres then announced on Twitter that he had gathered approximately another $4000 in small individual donations. (Verified, it was also reported in the linked story above about Steve Moyer's donation.)
That's approximately $30k verified.

Any higher figures floating around aren't verified. A minor celebrity, a country musician named Ryan Upchurch, is claiming on his instagram (he is a verified user, so it is really him) that he's adding 50k to the reward fund (link is NSFW for cursing.) That's where the 70k figure comes from. But so far there is no evidence that this is more than just talk, and it hasn't been reported or verified by any MSM I can find.

Surely though he's effectively said 'goodbye' to ever seeing his family again, right!?

How long would LE keep an eye on the Laundries!? 3 months? 6 months? A year? That would be a massive resource in terms of manpower to constantly monitor their movements, not to mention the expense.

Is it feasible (assuming BL has changed his appearance and is in hiding somewhere) for him to ever be able go back to seeing his family again or will his parents always be under scrutiny from LE, and he'd be immediately captured should they ever attempt to meet?

MOO
The Laundrie’s could just go camping again and meet up with BL in an isolated area since they all love it so much…sarcasm

BL"... she's trying to start up like her own little website blog and everything, so I gave her time...".

Why does he need to "give her time?" He seems that he is entitled to choose what they do when they do it, and on his time schedule. I think he considers himself gracious and giving that he would allow her to have time. It also bothers me that he can not do something seemingly minor for GP, like keep his feet clean.

BL's parents seem to cater to him. BL thinks the world should cater to him; as if everybody owes him something.

Hello.
Someone earlier in this thread mentioned funeral information for tomorrow so I looked it up. Oh my gosh, you guys. I googled Moloneyfh.com (the funeral home) then entered Gabby's last name in the search box on their site. There is a 28 minute video of Gabby's life in pictures. You won't believe how sad and beautiful. What a short life but so well lived. Seemed the family went to so many wonderful places together. And Gabby, so sweet, so beautiful. What I especially noticed was her dad's face in so many pictures - you can see the love, the pride. So tragic.
Sorry I can't figure out how to link on this device.
Please check it out.
Omg. Thank you for sharing. I am crying
