Joseph Petito on Twitter:

“The Gabby Petito Foundation. No one should have to find their child on their own. We are creating this foundation to give resources and guidance on bringing their children home. We are looking to help people in similar situations as Gabby.”

Yes, but the right side of her face did show a red mark. And a scratch.
And a hand print on her arm that shows while she’s sitting in the back of the cruiser.

Bc from a legal standpoint, there is little to be gained in speaking until (if then) there is an active prosecution.

If you are not guilty I think most people would speak regardless of what an attorney might advise.

Possibly, if parents wind up being indicted, we would learn more from affidavits...but I think they would, in that case, prefer a plea deal to a public trial. Just speculating. jmo

I have a silly question. If he is never found would they be able to prosecute his parents? And what would it be for? Obstruction of justice?

If BL had a criminal record, previous charges, arrests, or jail time, would this be something that could be divulged to the public by LE?

Is there any way to find this out?
Yes...many paid programs allow this type of search. I don't think there are ANY previous charges BUT often times these are scrubbed when a case is this public. Only my opinion. I do think if there was anything there it would have been made very public quickly, since it is public record. MOO!

What does that mean re. the allusion of how he got to Long Island? (in interview with BL's sister as mentioned in above post)

There are hundreds of search features on the web that offer lookups, but you have to be willing to pay a fee. They gather information including criminal records nationwide.

He had a clear record on Instant Checkmate too.

I want to respond to this. I dont believe the one person that said Brian slapped Gabby several times. He was driving, right? Or in a car so he might be mistaken. Even when multiple people see the very same thing sometimes the statements they give LE don't always match. There are many explanations for this.

We view life through the prism of our own perceptions.

And we have three people saying Brian did not hit Gabby. Including Gabby and Brian. And physical evidence supports this.

If Gabby was lying about it why would she JUST admit Brian grabbed her jaw and scratched it. Why admit one thing and lie about another? I dont think Brian slapped her I do think he pushed her away when she wanted the keys to the van, and grabbed her face.
I think it was pretty clear to the witness that he was hitting and slapping her as they ran up and down the sidewalk. It may have been the other witness who saw him grab her by the face and push her, probably just before he locked her out of the van and she climbed through the window.

Gabby likely didn't mention his hitting her because she did not want him to go to jail.

It's also typical behavior for victims of DV to minimize the abuse inflicted on them. Jmo

If we can’t mention it, just ignore this. In the timeline there is a mention of an incident with Gabby’s dad (are we talking about her stepdad? JP?) and LE. What was that about? Thx.

I cant assume he had ever hit her before Spread Creek, and hopefully autopsy will give evidence to watch happened at her death.

I also understand some WSers think the 911 caller got it right 100%. I just felt the need to state why I thought he saw incorrectly. If Brian had slapped her repeatedly, there would have been physical evidence, and I think if she admitted Brian grabbing her face and scratching it, there would be no need to lie about a slap.

It could have been that Brian snapped at Spread Creek, and that it was the first time their fights had became so aggressive.

I prefer to think that most of their trips were happy and they were able to enjoy their travels, before it became dark. AND that does not excuse one bit her death and his running away!

IMO with his public outbursts and controlling behavior, he fits the abuser profile more than he fits the nice guy who suddenly snapped profile.

Forgive me if that was already mentioned.

Do we know if Gabby was wearing a smart watch? A lot of these watches are always monitoring heart rate. If she was killed and was wearing the watch it would likely alert when her heart stopped or went into any kind of a-fib etc. That would be basically a exact time of death timestamp for LE. Unless of course he took the watch off. But the report does get sent to your phone if it was linked to it. So IF they get have/get her phone they would also see that alert. Just a thought....

MOO!!! The ONLY theory I can come up with on this one is that the all of this happened around the same time that the LE + Gabby's Dad "incident" happened. I have no idea, from what we have access to,, what came first (and I think this is important to consider), the unanswered calls or the police visit to the house over the 10th and 11th of September. IF the police showed up first and it was adversarial in nature, it makes sense that they retained an attorney and chose not to engage. Outside of that, it is impossible make sense of this lack of response without MORE reliable information regading the family dynamics. Again, MOO
There was no 'Gabby's Dad incident'. That has been well and truly debunked.

She was covering for him. She is dead, not him. There is nothing that she could do which should provoke him to murder her.
Yep.
So agree. She got into that "poor boy, he is doing this because... stress etc. Covering for him often so it was almost automatic.
