I don’t recall hearing that BL had ever been homeless or semi-homeless, had slept in any homeless shelters, or had hung out with homeless or semi-homeless people, ever.
Neither have I.
Hikers and backpackers are definitely not homeless, nor are travelers in vehicles (RVers, vacationers, vanlifers, vandwellers, nomads, and the like).
There are very, different standards of living regarding vacationing, RVs, and nomadic lifestyles in material support, AC, regularity and nutrition standards of meals, hygiene arrangements, sanitation etc.

Some people live RV / nomadic lifestyles in luxury RVs that cost more than many homes. The RV, nomadic or vanlife life or other people, however, is well, closer to, but not equal to homeless.

I dont think "L" was from the luxury RV side of the equation. Rather, my bet is that his vanlife could have included missed meals, less than ideal hygiene and non AC. All of these can prepare somebody for a homeless life style.

If BL tries to submerge himself into the homeless or semi-homeless world ....(then he will be seen on a daily basis by many many people and passers-by, both homeless and non-homeless, and will undoubtedly be caught very very quickly.

"One can be seen and not be noticed. One can see, but not notice". - Cryptic, zen master

OK, the faux zen aside....

People can change their appearances (and L's appearance does not appear that distinct to me). Likewise, there are many people in this country who dont watch the news. There are other people who forget what they saw in the news unless it is continuosly broadcast.

I dont know how much longer this story is going to be carried. Likewise, rural, suburban, or urban homeless might not watch the news alot. Sure, he will be seen when he walks to a shelter etc. But.... one can be seen and not noticed.

Nothing either of them produced fit into this space or category. Most of that type of money making content includes either product promotion and/or insight, advice, education, tips or tricks filmed and shared with talking involved, not just video collages with a music background. It is all very odd to me and makes little sense. Again MOO!

Just opinion here, I think they eventually wanted to make money on their VanLife, but had not figured out how. That might have added to the stress both were under. And Brian beginning to question if it could work. Gabby trying hard to make it work...

Someone else posted that Dog appeared on another news show this morning and discussed two tips and they stated maybe Dr. Oz got it wrong and that the AT tip may not have known BL and the other tipster may have? I haven’t seen this video though?

At this point, I think Dog is causing more distractions than leads.

Another user here made a great point - he JUST googled the guy and still messed up his name? It's not like it's a hard last name. Just food for thought.
Because he was driving, on the phone, and no longer looking at the phone, would be my guess. MOO

Interesting. If BL is indeed the killer and he fits within this pattern, he may have been thinking of homicide as a solution, instead of just committing it by accident in a moment of escalating passion or rage.

Good article! Thanks for sharing it. The author writes that if one of these behaviors isn't present that might mean that this is the offenders first relationship.

BL and Gabby were in their first relationship in life.... But if he is ever charged and convicted with a possible release date in the future, he now has a established behavior in what his future relationships will be like. I pray none of that ever happens, but it's a possibility.

I don't see that. MOO. Why he did not pull over in an area where he had a signal so he could complete the call clearly in range is bizarre. But, I don't know what the roads out there are like. Perhaps there was nowhere safe for him to do that by the time he got through. But, it appears he gives his name and number (unless the dispatcher just gave up on that) and he does agree to meet officers. So, MOO still stands that I don't think the guy is deliberately lying unless of course, he doesn't know there can be criminal penalties for those actions. I wish we had the FBI call. MOO
My guess is that DD did give his name and number but that those were blanked out before the released the 911 call. If that's so, I wonder whether the audio of the call was edited in any other way.

I am just at a loss now as to what to believe. I really believed the Davis sighting. However, now Dog is saying he doesn’t believe it and he has found a prior connection between BL and Davis!??? Whatttt?!

Can you say where he says this?

and why wouldn't he pull over while calling 911
it's kind of an important call - most people would want to get it right IMO

There's a difference between sincere and credible. I think most of us agree that he's sincere, but not necessarily credible.

Especially since "Lowery" is the name of another missing person in Yellowstone area, whose name has been in the news because his body was recently found "due to the search for Gabby".

That is an excellent point. Thank you.

I hadn’t realized the AT was so accommodating with cabins free to hikers or fugitives.

It’s been a while, but those “cabins” pretty rough and kind of nasty. But I guess that be better than being in some of the horrendous downpours of rain we’ve had.

Can anyone please help me out here.
I can only use my phone or tablet. Mainly my Iphone
It is discouraging when I cannot upload anything to this website. Can anyone please help me out so I can upload documents and photos to this thread
I suggest you take a look at the "new to websleuths" forum (Welcome To Websleuths) and if you don't find the answer you need, that would be a good place to ask your question.

IMO this thread is moving way too fast to be a good place to hash out technical issues.

Good luck!

We are not allowed to sleuth him here, but you are free to do your own personal research into his history. IMO, MOO he is quite an interesting man!
I had no intention to sleuth him. But seeing your post and realizing that some people might read it that way I went to delete it and the edit function is gone. Does the edit function automatically disappear after a few minutes?

I made it a point when I'm driving/out, to see how many people look like him. I've seen a ton. LOL

A woman went walking through Manhattan and tweeted that she'd seen 50 Brian's in one day. We saw 10 of them in the daily Paris walk videos we watch.

To those saying "Brian doesn't wear a do-rag/bandanna" I'd say that I think he's smart enough to change his headgear frequently. People lose hats and bandannas with real regularly in the outdoors...he'll continue to do that if he's out there.

And a white Ford F-150 may well be the most ubiquitous vehicle in North America...

I think the only way FBI keeps media soooo involved is to keep leaking information that wont hurt the prosecution....imo.

Which leaks? Truly curious. I think the FBI has been pretty tight lipped. And I think it's partly because if they believe BL is still alive, they do not want him to know what they are doing, what trails they are following.

Right now there seem to be two possibilities: He's dead in the swamp area (hence their search warrant for bio materials from the toilet of the camper, IMO...to get accurate DNA, which may not have been available from items already given) OR he's on the run.

I'd say that given what they have shown of their hand, FBI thinks he's dead in the swamp. If it's like other fugitive cases, they know it will take a different sort of longterm effort to find him.

MOO.

I think in part he was freaked out and secondly there are tunnels everywhere in the mountains. In general in the mountains you can lose cell service at any second without warning, if you are driving. He said that once he realized who it was his heart starting thumping, also

Yes!! Okay, I’ve been wanting to bring this up. A few years ago I was seriously considering van life, (although I was planning to use savings, not trying to monetize it). During this time I joined a ton of van life groups online to learn how to do the build-out, ask questions about elements of van life that concerned me, etc. and I just can’t imagine anyone could do it without the support of these communities. I’d be really interested in seeing if folks here could sleuth out Reddit accounts for GP or BL by looking for posts for them in the vandweller subreddit. I strongly believe Reddit can reveal a lot about someone, especially because not only can you see their posts but also their viewing history. If GP had Reddit I wonder if she would be posting for a advice about van life straining their relationship?
