IKR? The way she said the kids were there, it sounded as though she was saying that of course they couldn't talk about murder in front of the kids! But that was on September 6th and she says she didn't even know Gabby was missing at that time. IMO, it should have been perfectly natural to talk about Gabby in front of the kids. The subject of Gabby should have come up, at least once, to ask how she was doing by herself in WY, had she and BL face-timed or texted or talked, etc.

To quote the NPPD PIO, "There's a lot of oddness."

I wonder if her kids asked BL about GP, that would be natural if they loved her( as BL's sister has stated in MSM) and the kids could likely ask where she is. I think this is plausible and wonder what they could have been told thus what Bl's sister would have heard. It's strange that GP never came up, Brian's Fiancé. It's odd.

As he's 8-9 years younger than his sister, he may have been mollycoddled as a young child. The baby of the family is often treated quite differently to older siblings and I think it's possible that this is what we're seeing now. He may not have been taught to take responsibility for his actions and over- indulged by his parents.
This!! And at the risk of taking a lashing, I’m going to guess with no former friends or girlfriends coming forward that BL was a loner. Lacked any real meaningful relationships. He seems awkward to me from what I’ve been able to view. This would make his parents and more likely his mother overlook any disturbing behaviors he may have had because of his social disadvantage. Further fueling the protecting mode she seems to be dictating. MOO

Breaking Watauga County- a body has been found near a popular overlook along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Sheriff deputies are confirming a male was discovered dead near the Thunder Hill overlook near Blowing Rock. Park Rangers, the SBI and sheriff deputies are investigating.

Has anyone been reported missing in this area?

So … the last time Brian spoke with Bertolino was ON the 13th and the Laundrie’s recently corrected their statement to say Brian left for a hike ON the 13th. But wait. Now there is reference to Christopher being gone for 3.5 hours to search the reserve ON the 13th, which is why the FBI had him out on foot searching the reserve for 3.5 hours, likely to try and show that Christopher wasn’t actually searching the reserve on the 13th.

So, Christopher searched the reserve for 3.5 hours on the 13th, but didn’t report his son missing until the 17th? 4 days later? Hmmmmm.

Exactly what I was thinking. The Laundries didn’t talk in the beginning because they knew they wouldn’t be able to keep a straight story. IMO
Then the protesters and media pressure finally wore them down to start acting like they care IMO…
Now we will start seeing glaring inconsistencies in their stories over the next week.. IMO
Which will hopefully finally break things wide open.

Is it possible that these are two different bodies?? As One article is 9th October, and the other remains were identified 17th September.....???
As per dates on the articles......

As someone fairly local to the area it isn’t terribly unusual this time of year for tourists to be hurt or even killed, especially if they’re not experienced (or taking selfies). We see more waterfall issues here but Watauga’s lookouts are prime for tumbling accidents.

Yes, agreed, I interpret these articles as talking about two different bodies:
1) First article says "TJ" Trivette's body was found in Feb 2020 (in TN), and was finally ID'd in August 2021
2) Second article is talking about a body that was found earlier today (in NC) that has not yet been publicly ID'd

IMO

Of course it takes time to ID a body however... How difficult would it be to ID BL? He has tattoos and a number of unique facial features.

Right, they couldn't be the same person. That is the point... we were looking at other missing persons, and this one came up that had been missing since 2019, but we found that his remains were discovered prior to this month, so it couldn't be the same person as the one whose remains were just found.

Thanks. Local perspectives always help. So maybe a tourist traveling alone. I haven't seen mention of a party calling for help.

Thanks for your local knowledge!
I was just wondering if "down an embankment" could also be classed by others as "over a cliff or similar"???
Just that 'embankment" makes me think of a gentle type slope.......But terminology differs in different countries....
I was trying to find an image of Aho Gap.....

It's also weird considering the sister made a point of mentioning how Gabby and her kids were close, how the kids loved Gabby etc. Wouldn't the kids be asking "Uncle Brian, where's Gabby?!" ?? Nobody knew GP was missing at that point. It's weird that they DIDN'T talk about her.

Yeah! I mean it would have been a great idea to try to face-time with Gabby while they were making s'mores or hanging out. I bet the kids would have loved to chat with her and everyone could say "hi."

CL was also back home in time for his truck to be on the news at 4:30 on the 13th. So when did the call occur, when did he leave, when did CL decide it was worrisome enough to require searching, and when did he say screw it? Hmmmm indeed.

Depends on the condition of the remains...and whether said remains had been disturbed by wildlife

Amateur opinion and speculation

I wonder if CaL did try to contact Gabby at some time, but to no avail. That may be something she told FBI and is hush hush about. Or else she was ordered not to contact her by her parents. Maybe we will find out someday. jmo
