Did GP ever live with JP in Florida?
I don’t know that she did. Many young people continue to use a parental address as their address of record. I’m interested in determining GP’s address of record. These are merely possibilities. Moo

But 5 days for just that?
It's a placeholder for those days. I highly doubt it would take that long for what he's currently charged for, but if you don't schedule and it runs longer, you run the risk of having to reconvene at a later date, breaking up the trial. I'm not a criminal defense attorney, but that's how we schedule trials in our field. We also know which attorneys tend to be long-winded, and schedule accordingly. But 5 days for just that?
I'm confused now. I thought JP heard (but I don't recall how he knew) the van was back home and that's what prompted him to call LE for a welfare check on/around Sep. 10, which check didn't find GP at the L home but did confirm the van and either saw or was verbally told by the Ls that BL was back too, and so the Petitos responded by filing the missing person report.
Several folks have said that LE was who told the Petitos the van was back, so my question then is -- how did LE originally learn the van was back, if not from the Petitos? The Ls certainly didn't call LE to report that...
MOO
Could be either. My first choice is that the P's were demanding answers.Sorry, I get confused on this issue, probably because I’ve spent more time focusing and reading regarding other aspects of the case:
Does this indicate that the Laundries were calling 911 because the Petitos were demanding answers, or did Brian threaten suicide or similar due to that, and that’s the reason 911 was called?
thanks, I did think this may happen here tooMissy Bevers was murdered in April of 2016, there has never been an arrest for her murder and the cause of death has never been revealed. LE says it is still an active investigation................jmo
Video shows Gabby Petito's van door closing 3 days after last sightingWould you have a source to view that video please? I watched one on TikTok of the Bethune couple and seeemd to show the back door closed the entire time they drove by.
On the other hand, Brian may have been smart enough to get a hold of his parents' phones and blocked or deleted all of Gabby's family members. We simply do not know what went on inside the Laundrie home and no idea what Brian told his parents, or when.Yes and for some reason the Laudries chose not to answer the messages left by Gabby’s family expressing concern for both Gabby and Brian.
Why on earth would they not at least let her family know that their son was safe in Florida? Rhetorical question that we all know the answer to. MOO

UK, not a criminal lawyer, a commercial lawyer, hence the trademark infringement case. Our case was heard in Los Angeles - it was an eye opener for a UK lawyer, I can tell you thatHi Nikynoo! Thanks for your input! Would you mind telling us if you are licensed in US or UK? Are you involved in criminal law?
Maybe they do think he's guilty of something--even more reason to zip the lips, I would say. You think they should turn on their son and join your "team"? Wow...This is from previous thread which closed just as I was about to post it.
I've seen that, yes. I have seen families come out and defend their son who committed murder. That's rather common, in fact. The Laundries did a different kind of horrible thing. They ghosted the family of their future daughter-in-law who was literally living with them until their son killed her. Even if their son is somehow innocent and they are protecting him, there is no defense for how they treated the Petito family who was desperately searching for their daughter. They wouldn't even pick up the phone. That tells me they knew their son was guilty right off the bat. The excuse the lawyer gave - that you get accused of things in the US even if you don't do them - if you're a well-off young man in Florida? - no, that's hogwash.
That would mean that they either convened a GJ on the afternoon of the 21st or the morning of the 22nd. Can it be done that quickly? We don't have them in the UK, so I have no idea how they work!Pure amateur speculation...
I feel like they kind of worked backwards in that they knew when the card was used and were prepared to go to the grand jury ASAP once the autopsy was done. I imagine a time of death could be estimated based on certain factors such as decomposition. But this is just my entirely amateur opinion only!
Oooo yeah, I knew I saw a large mark on Gabby's upper arm. This screen grab makes it more clear than the video. It takes a lot of pressure for those marks to appear. And remain visible afterwards. Looks fresh. I wonder if she developed bruising later and it just wasn't documented...Here’s a screen grab from the Moab stop video. Identifying details aren’t visible, but you can see it clearly says Florida at the top.

She had FLA plates? If so, Fla address would be on Fla license................at least that's how I think it works registration, plates, license jmoI don’t know that she did. But will it be under the same indictment or a separate one?I think they are holding it open, 5 days is just a very very rough estimate. Don't hold a court to anything. Once they find BL and he is arrested, and starts talking, they will charge him with everything possible. Depending upon so many factors yet to be determined, if he pleads guilty to her murder, etc. and many other things; they will adjust the trial timing. It's nothing to read into now. IMO

If he'd kept his original phone we'd be home and dry now.On the other hand, Brian may have been smart enough to get a hold of his parents' phones and blocked or deleted all of Gabby's family members. We simply do not know what went on inside the Laundrie home and no idea what Brian told his parents, or when.
I highly suspect Brian still secretly had his original phone and knew Gabby's parents started trying to contact him on the 10th. We are all assuming Brian's parents were ignoring calls/texts from Gabby's parents, when they may not have even received them at all. jmo
