I have no doubt they subpoenaed his phone records a long time ago. Charges don't even have to be filed for that to occur, as long as there is probable cause that a certain crime may have been committed.
Depending on how long it took them to find BL's provider. If he initially had the same as GP that would be a huge time savings.

I am still convinced AT&T was a new provider, designed to make it more difficult to track records of his old phone. I believe this bc I don't see him being so calculated up to that point and then making an error like this.

I would also like to know if RL and CL (parents) also got new phones after 9/1. Because if they were in communication with BL after gabby's death, they would need to ditch their phones and provider too. MOO

Does anyone know how we can watch this?
Not sure but it is big news and CNN has been updating info so my guess is they will probably air it at 2:30 Eastern. jmo
This reminds me of the George Floyd verdict reading! Same level of excitement.
Thanks for link.
Remember the OJ verdict? just stunning. jmo

I can't help but wonder if, along with everyone else...

Brian will be watching this pressor.
It depends on whether his parents ran cable to the bunker beneath the garden box.

(I'm kidding/MOO)

I’ve been saying this for ages. I’m a pretty fearless person. I travel solo, cut down and timber my own trees and always have a firearm on me. For context, I’ve never even seen a movie that scares me. Ever.

But I live on 100+ acres in VA not terribly far from the AT and I’ve had the jeebies being outside on my land alone since Brian has been missing. If CoD is released today and deductions are made that BL was the likely perp, LE better damn sure not withhold that information from us. IMO that would be terribly irresponsible for the safety of the public.
I was mountain biking in Boone, NC a few weekends ago and had same fears. My friend and I were on high alert. Our friends thought we were nuts.

My $0.02.
1. This is not a "traditional missing persons case."
2. As GP's dad said, "He's not missing, he is hiding."
3. BL got a good head start on LE before they even knew he was "missing."
4. BL most likely took food and money with him.
5. The food and money will run out soon.
6. BL's challenges will be 1) where to get more food and money, and 2) how to avoid being seen while accomplishing 1).
7. Unless he has a vehicle of some kind (where is his bike?), it would be difficult for him to go anywhere without being seen by someone. (Bus, train, hitchhiking are possible, but risky.)
8. It's only been a month since BL made a run for it. IMHO, not very long, considering his head start.
9. Not having a vehicle (that we know of) somewhat works in his favor, as there is no license plate to track.
10. Not having a vehicle (that we know of) somewhat works against him, as he will need to stay within walking (or biking, or delivery) distance of supplies.

ETA:
11. There's a price on his head.

That's all I have this morning. All JMHO.

My comment isn’t relevant to this case, but I remember the OJ case well and I think he’s guilt af, but I would have voted not guilty had I been on the jury. :/

I'm surprised News Nation isn't breaking into programming for this. They've been following this so closely. MOO

I agree to a great extent with this. One small change. He's not on the road. He's not "surviving"in the wilderness. He's holed up in a safe house, bare feet up on a coffee table, eating granola bars and watching the whole affair on a bigscreen. The question is - when will the umbilical be cut?
That's my take as well. I seriously doubt that he's been camping out for a month. But I have been wrong before.

Can I just say a BIG thank you to everyone sharing the links to the coroner report. Helps us all from different countries to keep up to date with this case. As I often am, I’m thinking about gabby, her family and friends today, thoughts and love to them all.

He was never missing. IMO He was also never listed as missing by FBI. MOO But the parents certainly didn't even try to "sell the fake." And, that did them no favors IMO.

My honest opinion is that someone we don't know about (yet) has/is helping him all along. He's sheltered and has transportation, food, water and ready to watch the full autopsy report stream with popcorn and soda in his blood-stained hands. MOO.
Yes, Ita.

Maybe he's being helped with cash only , as a card would be tracked ?
So, have any family or friends been observed withdrawing cash lately ?
Look closely at them, and LE might find BL.
We may be in for a very long wait, so we have to buckle up.
MOO.

Thanks as always, oviedo .
You always come through !

No urgency to answer this question -- and I can be patient, as I'm currently taking what the Laundrie family lawyers says with the proverbial grain.
Just a thought... wonder if SB is also in limited contact with BL or has been since the 13th or 14th ?
Now that would be something.
MOO.
Authorities to provide more details on Gabby Petito's final autopsy report
snipped
After more than a week of searching for Laundrie, the FBI went back to his parents, asking for personal items of his to assist with DNA matching. They provided what they could, Bertolino, the Laundries' lawyer, told multiple news outlets.

Laundrie's father has participated in a search of the nature reserve for him, but he has no plans to assist in police searches and the couple will not take a polygraph test, Bertolino said.

I think it makes sense, as many people would tip a percentage based on the check total. The server is doing the same amount of work and their table is being used for the same period of time, but without this policy they are potentially making much less on tips. As a server for many years, this is what happened.
Correct. This is pretty standard.

I have wondered if, after the incident at the Merry Piglets on 8/27 where GP apologized to staff after BL repeatedly and angrily confronted them, BL decided to retaliate against GP for undermining him by locking GP out of the van for the night. And if so, maybe with a tent and sleeping bag and floor mat and firewood and matches and maybe not.

Typical minimum temperature on 8/27 for nearby Moose, WY is around 39 degrees F. I keep my refrigerator at 38 degrees F.

If GP were forced to camp outside throughout the night without adequate gear and provisions (ETA: or knowledge to use them) to keep herself warm in those temperatures, she may have succumbed to hypothermia. If she became wet in that creek, that would be even more likely.

If GP were suffering the effects of hypothermia and she had her phone with her, that could explain the odd text to GP's mother about Stan. If suffering the effects of hypothermia, GP may have been hallucinating that her grandfather was sending texts to her.

I'm very curious what time of day that text was sent and what the temperature would have been in that area around that time.

If such a scenario were to have happened, what would be the likely charges against the person who put GP in that position - locking her out of her van to cope with the elements on such a cold night and without adequate provisions?

I don't think she was sleeping; I think she was dead...
Hypothermia may have been possible -- causing her death -- but the investigators wouldn't have called it "homicide," IMO.
