It is borderline legal at best, and clearly some have overstepped the line. The point is it is ignorant and foolish, and these are people that need to separate the things that entertain them online with how they conduct themselves in real life.

As I see it, the so-called "protesters" are decrying behavior that some find distasteful... but, presumably, generally legal. The protesters are conducting themselves in a manner that some find distasteful but, presumably, generally legal. Certainly, weakens the protest to my eyes.

I really think that once he is found, dead or alive, this will all die down pretty quickly. That's just how it is here. Nothing stays big news for long. On to the next. People are just appalled at how this family has behaved from the start. They have made themselves appear guilty and uncaring. Their lawyer has only made them appear worse. I definitely wouldn't want to be in their shoes right now. However, if it was my daughter, you bet I would want that pressure on the other family. They just dig themselves deeper with every move. We all agree more when the opinion resembles our own. Not that opinions help either way. Its just a very bad situation all around.

The Laundrie's lawyer has a loquacious tendency and to be honest I wonder if they've considered other legal options and attorneys ?
If they knew SB from years ago, maybe they trust him to handle it and are hoping he will make this all go away ?
Probably not going to happen since Gabby's been found and there is plenty of cause to suspect murder.
I was worried with all of their travels that she would never be found.
Grateful her family can bury her with respect.

Otoh; if my child was left deceased out in the elements and the one person or persons who could explain what happened refused to answer my calls/texts -- yes I'd be angry and frustrated.
I fail to see how anyone else in such a situation as the Petito's would feel differently ?

Not if they set up camp there, and it happened in or around the tent. In their pictures and videos their shoes were left outside the tent.

She was killed on Federal land, an act against the US and will be tried in federal court, under federal laws.

My bf and I were pondering what would someone who is being strangled do, at first I thought personally I would scratch at the face but no, because actually I’d be shocked and really only have time to hold on to the arms of the person strangling to try and pull them away and really not much else… Maybe just maybe GP managed to hook a nail into his arm and leave a few scratches therefore, his blood under her nails. All my own opinion and thoughts as always

I have given this much thought this morning and I agree. I think the orange paint marks on the trees where she was found are holes that were made to hold up a tent or a tarp.

I had not thought of that...or BL's "beloved" hammock.

I have to disagree here. We’re responsible for ourselves. If I know that I’m inclined to have fits of rage, I can go to therapy, I can get counseling, I can join a gym to give myself an outlet, or I can learn ways to not put myself in a situation where I could hurt someone. I feel like this minimizes murder. If I feel rage, I cannot go outside and shoot someone because I’m feeling that way. Im sure we all have times we want to act petulant and go act out but we don’t. HE TOOK HER LIFE AWAY. It’s not okay, no matter how he was feeling in the moment.

Their actions have been restrained and more classy than some, that's for certain !

Respectfully disagree. Research shows that it is needed.

Strangulation is considered a crime when the victim died. But if there was no death? Even after repeated attempts at strangling? It's usually considered a much lower offence (assault charges instead of attempted murder), which allow the abuser to continue abusing.

I posted a video earlier about an Attorney speaking on this. It's Federal land so it most likely will be handled by the Federal prosecutors. The state prosecutors can fight to handle it, but it's not likely they will win against the Feds.

I can't support the Laundrie's at all in their treatment of Gabby and her family but I don't support what's being done to them, their home, and their daughter's family either. It's sick.

Why even go out there?
