it's still curious though

this is the neighbour I was referencing many pages back. okay, she's just a neighbour who could be mistaken but....

I’m confused. This neighbor said the L’s house was being rented out before G and B lived there with the parents. Then when did G and B live there with Cassies family?

If my child was still "a child", I would do things differently than I would with an adult child. If my adult child was accused of a crime, I would get his/her side of the story, and if I truly believed they were innocent--no, I would not turn them in--what would I be turning them in for? I would have long, intense conversations to encourage them to report their story to LE, but at the end of the day, if my child was an adult and didn't take my advice, no, I would not run to the police begging them to bring my child in. At that point, it's between my kid and the police. Same thing for a child of mine who did tell me he had done something wrong, and then ran. What exactly would I be able to do?
In that situation, it would be praiseworthy that you had had such intense conversations. It would definitely be a very difficult situation! But if the conversations didn't convince the (adult) child to speak with LE and he went on the run, you could then still call (publicly or privately) for him to turn himself in.

Even if you believed your adult child was innocent, being on the run can expose them to many dangers. If many others believed your child was guilty, he might be exposed to vigilante justice. Even if no vigilantes were involved, unfortunately, interactions between fugitives and the police do not always end well. <modsnip>

The redacted police report is from September 14, a day after the Laundries now claim Brian left for his hikeCredit: North Port Police Department
Laundrie's Ford was found MILES from reserve where parents claim he went hiking

If they had brought B. in for questioning about why his girlfriend and former fiance' never returned and her parent's could not get in touch ; and if they had cooperated with LE from the beginning when they asked to speak with Brian
The only reason I can think of for this behavior is that they knew BL had killed GP and they believed remaining silent was the only way to avoid interrogation and charges.

So the address we've been using (Reiserstown Road, in the parking lot near the preserve) is wrong? Do you have a link for that? Many of us need to revise our notes and timelines if that's the actual address. I thought it was on the redacted LE document as Reisterstown Road - 5 miles from the Laundrie home, not 16.

When did it turn out to be 16 miles? As late as yesterday, most of us were going off the Reisterstown Road - if someone can post a pic of the LE document (I know several people have it), maybe we can get some clarity.

This article states the car was found 16 miles from where Laundrie's parents said they found it. iow, his parents lied. jmo

BRIAN Laundrie's abandoned Ford Mustang was found 16 miles from the Carlton Reserve, where his parents claim he went hiking the last time they saw him.

Same here- it's confusing

I wondered whether the neighbour hadn't known that Cassie's family were related to Chris & Roberta & just assumed they were a family renting? mainly though, I was just intrigued why she'd never seen much of GP at Wabasso

apparently the reporting was wrong. A few people added the links explaining North Port Police confirmed teh Laundries had never said the Reserve, had said the Creek

It's ridiculous. Those videoing all this need to stop, then these idiots will also stop.

This is not newsworthy it's just feeding to the masses. Gross.

Besides when -if ever- the BL parents' non-responsive actions turn out to be fully legit and understandable giving the info they have had about everything via BL, footage like this would provide proof for lawsuits seeking huge compensations for them beeing harrased, stalked, incriminated and what not IMO. Just looking at this video one could prove trespassing, violating property, false claims (provided Gabby never actually lived in that house as we might have learned recently), harassment.... JMO, I have no specialism in the field of US laws. So for all concerned, best to stop these actions, right?

She kind of confused me as well. I still appreciate the video! It is very interesting she never saw Gabby much, or saw them working on the van together, only BL. Maybe the condo was kind of a place to go to when they wanted to get away, like just from the house? I'm confused now lol.

We're talking murder here. Not pocketing a handful of Bazooka Bubble Gum from the dime store or parking in a handicapped zone. BL has a short fuse. Short enough to cause him to throttle someone to death.
I'd turn him in in a heartbeat, for the public good and his own.

I'm aware. The reason I mentioned the different types of crime is because I was directly asked the question about what if it was a different type of crime.

I think if a parent has it in their mind that they will protect their child no matter what, then the crime is irrelevant. That is the point I was making.

I was just looking into this and I think what has occurred is it was realized by media the address on the citation of 6968 Reisertown North Port, is little over 17 miles from 1800 Mary Carlton Parkway, Venice which is the address listed online for Carlton Reserve.

I think this is where the comments in media come in when they say they are searching the Venice side of the Carlton Reserve. JMO on trying to see how this could make sense.

And once again, the Sun newspaper is wrong. There were plenty of published reports that said Brian said he was going to the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park. Not the Carlton Reserve. This one is from Sept 18, a month ago.

The protestors are no better than vigilantes. Stop harassing the parents.

Walk a mile in their shoes.

Is all big talk about turning in your kid for a capital offense to face LWOP or DP, but it is by people who have never faced this situation.

I couldn't do it. I would help my child avoid capture until my last breath - not because I wouldn't be horrified and heartbroken, but because I could not live with my child in a cage being beaten and raped for the rest of his life or in a coffin compliments of the state.

Just the truth.

If the parents helped him, it is completely understandable.

Thanks. I haven't seen those links.

I'm confused now, too. But things like this just highlight the fact we actually "know" essentially zero about these people or the goings on here. We need a lot more information to make heads or tails of any of this. And LE is telling us zip. So frustrating. jmo

This is a straw man argument.
Definition: having the impression of refuting an argument, whereas the real subject of the argument was not addressed or refuted, but instead replaced with a false one.
MOO.

What would you like to be addressed?

Victims have rights, even when they're dead.
Victims also have parents.
