Oh, I agree. But usually if its bad food or service, you make it known. You don't just walk(or sneak) out.

Do we know for sure at this point that it was a full on dine and dash? Or could they have been unhappy with the service, or lack thereof, made it know to their server in a quiet way and left thinking they were being understood?
I know when I was serving, there were a few other girls that weren't completely honest with our managers about what actually happened at the table or with the service because they didn't want the blow back.. Much rather say to the manager "hey, those guys were rude and just didn't want to pay" rather than "I got sidetracked and never went back their table after I dropped off the bread and water, so they got upset and left".
I was under the impression the manager hadn't even interacted with them/their situation, but my brain may be holding onto to early inaccurate statements

Does anyone know a reputable source that reported about the bazaar bookmarks reported by one of the less reputable sources to have BL artwork drawings colored/splattered in blood, which it was said GP tried to help BL sell online for extra money (prior to) or for the trip! Publish date is Oct 27, 2021. The Entire Thing Is Very macabre. Very ‘out of character’ IMO. I can post the link to one source, but it is no MSM sourced. I ran across it checking for updates on case and was hopeful it is extremely exaggerated or simply untrue due to how against character it seemed. Then I came here and read about them supposedly trying to skip out on MP bill. Not sure what to think anymore. (Feel free to delete if this subject has been discussed and I missed it.)

I'm not sure if you think she was playing around or taking the voice of what BL may have thought.
No disrespect to you, or to any who thinks video editing is easy or just playing around but have you ever created a website, run multi-social media channels, shot videos then edited them before for public view and scrutiny? Running multi-channel, and a blog? with a temperamental angry boyfriend peering over your shoulder nagging/complaining?
It takes a lot of time to set up the right shot for Instagram and video editing can take HOURS for just 30 seconds of footage. I do this as a career. It may look easy but it's extremely time-consuming and would be hard to do in a busy coffee shop on a laptop. It would stress me out. I need to work alone in total silence.

He may have viewed her as just playing around with video, but it is NOT an easy job.

Considering last night's NewsNationNow special & the small window of time they had to complete it, I think @BrianEntin & his cameraman-editor, Luis, would agree.

Yes, this is what I was alluding to in my previous post. The managers comments on the events are through the filter of the servers.

She was alive on Aug 27 when she was last seen at the Merry Piglet. I have always believed he killed her the night of the 27th.

What makes you believe she was at the Merry Piglets? Eyewitness testimony has lost a lot of credibility in this case.

We can try to excuse what they did all we want - they left the restaurant without paying. That's a criminal act, even though the crime might be somewhat minor. It's equivalent to shoplifting. They were lucky the restaurant didn't call the police on them!

Now I"m thinking of these two people in a different light.

I am wondering, if generally Brian said he would handle payment in these situations. Or, they agreed to share, and there was some thing, that Brian concocted, that when he paid he asked Gabby to leave first as it made him uncomfortable for her to be there when he paid. But maybe he had been serially non-paying for meals and drinks, and this time, he was found out, and that is what caused Gabby to become so upset, as she at first didn't understand what was happening, Brian then claimed there was a legitimate reason for him not paying i.e. bad food, poor service (but possibly all made up), and insisted they go back in and ask for the money back after having been made to pay in the parking lot.
But later it dawned on her, that Brian had been in fact deceitful about this non paying for a long time, and she recalled other incidents that now made sense. Maybe Brian had been saving the money or wasting it on gambling or buying crypto, or just some other purchases that Gabby didn't know about. I think that this uncovering of deceitfulness on Brian's part could have been a critical point and led to a total change in Brian's personality, a removing of a mask, which revealed a much more aggressive decitful persona, and that person ended Gabby's life in the way we now know. All MOO.

I have to admit honestly, I LOVE taking photos and/or videos but I HATE editing. It is so stressful it has brought me to tears too especially before a deadline!
I now delete and pay another contractor to edit some of my videos for me.

IMHO Gabby had a GREAT idea for a "van-life" blog and wanted to monetize it. She had the drive, and ambition and had good branding. She was off to a great start. Imagine if she did this f/t how her videos blog would improve in time too. She had great potential.

Depends on the way the restaurant is setup. Some are walk in and seat yourself wherever, some have a set hostess that tries to make sure each server has people in their section. It can even vary by time of day, in afternoon its seat yourself, in the evening there's a hostess.
I was asked for refunds or new meals, but I would usually get s manager in that situation. Sometimes, if it was clearly MY fault they had a bad experience, I took care of it myself. Gained some regular diners that way

People are probably seated by a hostess or host in that sort of restaurant. Any "freebie" would have to come from a manager anywhere I ever worked. It would be a real mess if wait staff were allowed to approve free stuff on their own.

I'm not following how this could have been a misunderstanding. A server isn't going to say "no charge" if that's not true. That person will get called out by the management and the customer. Plus it was a server who chased them outside. And even if the service is bad, you don't just leave unless you've not had anything to eat or drink and have not ordered. That doesn't seem to be the case here.

I think that is common in the type of relationship they had. BL never showed his true character in public or only when he thought no one was watching. He saved the darker parts of his personality for private with GP. Just like when he spoke to LE. That's the side he showed to everyone but GP.

That is why, even though he had been slapping her (IMO) earlier, I doubt he made a scene in public at a restaurant. He would have saved it for shortly after they left the MP and were alone.
In those type of relationships, the aggressor makes their victim look crazy because he appears to be a nice guy. He even stated as much during his interaction with LE. IMO.

Petito was last seen alive on Aug. 27 at a Wyoming restaurant, when witnesses said a visibly irate Laundrie launched into a verbal attack on the staff.

"We drove by and the gentleman was slapping the girl," the caller said. "Then we stopped. They ran up and down the sidewalk. He proceeded to hit her, hopped in the car and they drove off."

“He just seemed like a nice guy,” Petito’s mother, Nichole Schmidt, told Australia’s “60 Minutes” in an interview posted online Sunday. “I worried. I told her to be careful, be safe. To be aware of your surroundings. Don’t trust anybody.”

“But I felt safe because she was with Brian and I felt like she would be OK,” she said. “I thought he would take care of her.”

“She did look happy,” said the young woman’s father, Joe Petito. “But as we look more and more into this, it might not have been as great as people online perceived.”

Schmidt said the family had misjudged their daughter’s beau.

“He was very polite and quiet,” she said. “He’d draw them pictures and stuff. He would read books to my little one at night before bed. So, he just seemed like a nice guy.”

Petito’s stepfather, Jim Schmidt, agreed.

“Every time he would come over, he was polite,” he added. “He’d talk with our other children as well. They got to know him and they liked him.”

Normally you are seated by a host depending on the restaurant. But some are seated by servers. Some will be seated by a manager. They are all different. You normally will ask the server to see a manager for a refund. Not the server as they don't have the capability to refund a customer.
