i wonder if Brian brought Gabby back with him to florida, like maybe they decided together to head back home early since they were arguing and fighting, then got into another fight on the way and thats when he hurt her, maybe even disposed of her close by. Now maybe since he thinks the FBI is about to have the phone records he has gone back to move her to another location...heck dont know, this has all fried my brain....i need to go to bed!

MOO - he could be already dead, although I'm getting a sense of someone who wouldn't have the courage to take his own life.
Personally, I agree. We don't know him, and we don't know his mindset, so suicide is obviously a possibility.

I tend to think that hasn't happened though, as he certainly had the opportunity to do that over the past few weeks.

Things have certainly escalated, and the clock is ticking, but I doubt it for some reason.

I think he's going to turn up, and soon.

Chief Todd said he knew exactly where he was, so perhaps not formal surveillance, but someone should have known his every move.

Also, the going for a hike is ridiculous because common sense would have to tell the parents that he was a suicide risk. imo.
And what makes us think common sense is involved?;)

If the FBI, etc. had found cadaver smell in the van, wouldn't they have already taken things to the next level with B? So can we assume they did not find evidence of a cadaver?

Not buying the story that he went for a walk three days ago. This dudes been long gone. With help from mommy and daddy.

Thanks! Didn't see that update from a couple hours ago. I can't keep up!
No problem! I only saw it because someone posted it here and it was one of the pages I had time to read. I’ve been reading for hours and still can’t keep up with today’s threads. Even with the thread being locked for like an hour!

My business partner just went to Cancun. No test or requirements to leave. A test was required to return, paid for by the resort. Her was there for five days. They are incentivizing travel at this time.
And all of that is thoroughly documented. He can't hide. The US might not be able to drag him back at will without criminal charges to cite, but they will know where he is, easier than if he fades into young hangouts or college towns in the usa. Getting financed will be his downfall.

Have either of their Venmo’s been discovered?

The American Dream isn't what it used to be for previous generations.. This whole van trend alone is a sign of that
Very true. More and more young adults are staying longer and/or moving back in. That was already the case before Covid.

I believe people are just referring to her location on the AllTrails app, I think it was. But we can’t confirm that it’s accurate. Some people have checked and for some it’s accurate for others it’s not. I don’t think it tracks your location live unless you’re currently on a trail with it on.

My husband and I checked the AllTrails app and his phone did indeed say Florida and hers said PR. It’s not an app we knew anything about previously so I can’t speak to its reliability. I do however think that her phone could easily have been mailed there. IMO.

I agree. I've read that narcissists seldom take their own lives. It doesn't fit their personality. [insert cow here going MOOOO]

But I don't agree it takes courage to kill yourself. It seems the opposite to me.

I don't understand it myself. I am app challenged.

When you install and sign up with the Alltrails app it adds your location. I tried it with a VPN on using Costa Rica, because Puerto Rico is not an option for me. They're likely using Surfshark VPN that all of the popular vanlifers get paid to advertise, I don't use that. Anyway... The app now shows my location on my profile as Costa Rica. I have since changed my VPN to the US and it remains CR. So, probably when they registered with the app they had their VPN on and set to PR.

This changes my perception of BL. I thought he was meek. Now I'm thinking he's been calculating from the jump.

NPPD has directly said Brian is hindering the investigation into Gabby's disappearance. Why don't they just arrest him on hindering or obstruction charges? Is that not possible?
not now!!!

  • #277
Even if they could, it doesn't necessarily mean it's the right play. He'd be arrested, charged, and quickly released on bond.

That would completely close the door on any chance of cooperation, small as that already was.

I just don't see the benefit.
Makes sense, though it seems like cooperation has been off the table from the get-go. I like hammers, like to see them drop on people like BL and his parents.

What are the odds he left and will self harm to avoid being prosecuted?

That’s what LE are calling a pack? Yikes!
The majority of hiking packs have hip belts (actually worn by design sitting midway on top of those pelvis bones that stick out a bit below your waist. These transfer the weight to your hips to lessen the load on your shoulders.
I would guess BL walked away with a fairly large backpack with a significant-looking belt. I’m thinking he absconded on a Greyhound, He’d melt right into that universe.
IMO he’s not using the pack for hiking, but just to get around easily.

Women, try this to get the idea of a hip belt. Plonk something on the floor, like a stack of books. A toddler works great, too, since you’re going to pretend the stack of books is a toddler. Reach down, pick it up, and plonk it on your body without thinking. It very likely ends up perched and slightly over your hip bones. That’s where you, on your body, naturally carry weight. It’s most efficient there. That’s where a pack belt goes.
If you’re not up to the toddler thing, cop an attitude in dramatic 14-year old fashion. Your hand will go right to the “toddler spot”. That’s your power place. That’s where the pack belt goes. The belt pretty much carries the weight of the pack, if your pack is designed correctly and has been properly fitted.
Sorry, guys, but you tend not to have anatomical spots where you intuitively plonk toddlers. The buckle of a pack belt goes roughly in front of your belly button.
Love the "toddler spot" comment. I have learned so much in these forums.

Absolutely. He has no financial means of his own, it seems.
