MOO
I think the lack of response by BL's mom to texts from GP's mom puts a big plot hole in the idea that BL's parents thought that they had simply broken up.
100% agree. The lack of communication is far more telling than anything they've finally shared with LE.

A highly crafted plan and I am not sure any of the players believed the story would grip the world as it has.

How are they even getting groceries? I'm sure it's stressful (as it should be) but the pressure cooker is working.

What if........ BL didn't fly home to do storage unit things. What if.... he called home panicked from something that happened. Parent's fly him home and then someone flies back with him to retrieve the van but BL stays wherever that may be and the someone drives the van back?? Maybe BL never came back to FL with the van. IMO

Do any counties allow entry without a negative test? Airlines require it to board an international flight.
The US is open to tourists, you just need a negative test, they say to "self isolate" for 7 days but it is basically an honor system, unlike most of the world's requirements of 7-14 days in a designated hotel with two or three negative tests onsite.
Many countries are requiring vaccination to enter and some require you show $50,000 USD in your bank account in case you need medical care, most of South Asia is still completely closed to all tourism.

Lots of countries allow arrival without COVID tests. I flew to Mexico a few months ago..nothing needed upon arrival but did have to provide proof of a negative test upon return to the US. I fly to Egypt next month. Same deal.

That's the slap-in-the-face busted in public part. Last night - Thursday - he was on television confidently stating he knew where BL was. Today we learn BL has "reportedly" been gone since Tuesday.
Did he say BL was at home?

That thoughts occurred to me. At least the part of someone flying back with him. It should be easy for LE to check though. Airlines keep Detailed Flight Manifests and have for decades. Surely even this seemingly crack squad of detectives could check on that and have. Well…one would think.

Where did we find out that he went back to FL and came back along with all that stuff about the storage unit? I’ve never found a definitive answer.
It was first posted by Gabby’s step-uncle Mike that Brian went back to FL 8/17-8/23. He posted a photo of a handwritten timeline the family put together, as a comment on one of his Facebook posts earlier this week. It did not mention the storage unit. The first I personally read about storage was an interview with Gabby’s mother earlier this week, though it seems unclear if they were moving things into storage or out of it (most if not all MSM I’ve seen has said moved out of storage). I don’t have an article offhand because there’s been dozens at this point, but I would bet there’s one or more in the media thread.

His world of caretakers has gone poof. His parents won't be able to coddle him, hold his hand, and tuck him into bed. Gabby's gone. His whole life has changed and gotten very small. His fault. No one to protect him from those voices he hears.
If he really hears voices. Maybe that's something he read and he was trying to freak her out when they were in that small van. maybe he liked to scare her or worry her. Create more anxiety.

Alas - the storage unit thing was supposed to have happened between August 17 and 23 - and the couple was seen in Utah after that. But that doesn't mean that someone might not have helped him back - just not around the storage unit stuff.

If he was armed and a POI, would LE have to release that info for public safety?

What kills me is GP lived in BL’s parents house. How can they just stand by and not at least try to help? I know their son obviously is more important to them but geez. I can’t imagine turning my back on her like that.
Most decent parents would want their kids to come clean. It is the right thing to do. I do wonder what he said to them though. Do they know anything? Do they know what happened to Gabby?

I would just like to say, as a mid-20s person, that if I went missing (or accused of something) and people went searching my Pinterest or old tumblr, they’d have a field day. His Pinterest seems organized but people don’t take what they pin too seriously. It looks like his has been updated recently so maybe he does use it often but I urge against delving too deep into that stuff because a lot of it is just random scrolling and pinning when bored and has nothing to do with a likely not-premeditated case like this one. Pins and posts can just be off-the-cuff and not too serious and more about aesthetic or remembering for later. He’s an artist so that too. Just to offer my opinion on how those sites are sometimes used, and how it likely doesn’t relate.

Does anyone have any info on where they might have been between 8/25-8/26 and 8/28-8/29 that I may have missed in these 9 threads? This is why I ask:

Assuming the merchant in Idaho can be confirmed, and the TicToker, here's an important timeline:
8/24: Gabby checks out of Fairfield Inn and Suites
8/25 0r 8/26: Owner of Rustic Row in Idaho says Petito and Laundrie spent about 15 to 20 minutes in the store.
8/29: Laundrie alone. Hitchhiking. No vehicle. Babbling about his fiancé and video editing and Snake River. Picked up Colter Bay, Grand Teton.

If accurate this leaves the time of any incident narrowed to the period between 8/25-8/26 and 8/28-8/29. Where they were during this 3-4 day period could prove critical to finding her. As it stands above, it has them between Idaho and Wyoming.

Oh, 100%. The NP PD putting out a statement that he was "missing" was a slap in the face to them. They accomplished nothing but add insult to injury for that family.
That is wrong.

It was the Laundries attorney who stated he was missing and FBI were looking for them both.

Florida police are quoted: "authorities were trying to determine if the notion that Laundrie may be missing has any "credibility""

This is an interesting thought. Though to your point, I wonder what the legality of any evidence in this would be towards the Gabby portion. For example, if it were to be considered inadmissible in anything related to Gabby, could this be a ploy to *help* BL through a legal loophole? IANAL so I have no idea. Totally speculative. OOMB

That could be true, too. From the LE standpoint, if they aren't able to admit anything they find in the missing person investigation as evidence for a crime, it could be advantageous to not report everything they find, then follow an "anonymous report of X in the house" etc. I have a little more faith in the FBI to work strategically now that they're deeply involved.

MOO OOMB speculation bs etc

Did LE find her toothbrush or hairbrush in the van? No one leaves stuff like that.

I believe Mexico doesn't need a negative test.

Also US is open to tourists but not tourists from all countries.

There is a huge list of banned countries: All European countries, India, China, Iran, Brazil, South Africa, Ireland. Not only tourists but People even with a work permit (have a home and job here for many years) are not allowed to enter. Even the girlfriends/boyfriends (not married) of US citizens who are in these countries have been unable to meet each other for 18 months now. It doesnt' matter if we are vaccinated or show a negative test. The only non-citizen that can enter US is ones who have US born children or they should have greencard (which takes 5 to 15 years to get.. so that's a waste) . There is a huge community which is fighting for this and I am an active member of that community.

The only way for such people to meet is coming through a third country, which is staying in a non-banned country for 2 weeks and coming here. That costs so much, around 4000$ per person for Mexico. So I couldn't afford it.

We are ready to self-isolate for month if that's what is needed.

Sorry for the off-topic but I know many citizens don't know how much we are suffering and I had to throw it out there.

I don't know. I don't feel so confident that he won't take himself out. I'm reminded of Josh Powell murdering their sons and killing himself, not only because he was an absolute monster, but also presumably because he felt the walls closing in on him and didn't want to face the music, so he took the "easy way out". If Brian is running around loose and unaccounted for, God knows where, while being investigated as a probable murder suspect in his fiancee's disappearance...that kind of behavior seems the person is likely a suicide risk. Just imo, moo, etc.

I also don't think he should have his own thread. He's not considered a fugitive, but his disappearance is clearly because he wanted to run off and not take responsibility for helping lead investigators towards the TRUTH about Gabby's disappearance.

Several hundred pages ago, someone who claimed to be an employee in Grant Village said they had been sighted there, and I think it was either 08/25 or 08/26. But I'm not about to go looking through hundreds of pages to find it . .

He seams to copy things he's read or seen. He jumps on trends. There's nothing sincere or original. No outstanding accomplishments. Lots of BS, but with parents supporting him, letting him move Gabby in, working at Publix with all the money going toward this "vanlife" blog business. And that wasn't his thing either, that was Gabby's passion.
Yes, and I wonder how much of his cash from Publix he has stashed since mom and dad support him. Gabby seems to have made the majority of the investment in the van.
