An all-call just went out to Park County school parents that we should take every precaution with our kids. There have been sightings of a SUV matching the description in Greybull, Burlington, and Cowley, Wyoming. They said they have reason to believe he may still be in Park County or Big Horn County.

As for where he "let her go", the general thought here in Cody is that he left her for dead. Where he left her was nowhere that it could be expected for a kid in capris and a light shirt would make it through a night. It was just that remote and full of grizzlies and just that cold.

Living in Cody with a kid not too far in age from this girl, it's all far too close to home.

It is a miracle she survived and was found; I agree with Larsen's comments. I'm so glad she was apparently physically well enough to attend the candlelight vigil, and am utterly awed by her resilience, her attention to detail with the descriptions, and her bravery. Kudos to her for kicking him; the DNA from the bloody nose might help. She's a fighter and a survivor, and with God's help, many prayers have been answered. Her survival and help may lead to the apprehension of this sick individual and the prevention of many more abductions. She's a little heroine, and I'm utterly impressed.

Taking her deep into the woods. Pictures in his car! He must have a garage or live somewhere he does not fear anyone looking in his windows..Wasn't there another case where the perp had pictures in his car or van??

I can't remember the other case where the perp had pictures in his vehicle. They need to look for the horse trailer. JMO! He could be pulling it with a vehicle you do not normally see with a horse trailer. He leaves the horse trailer in the woods and then he trolls....

I think we have to give her time.... although she sounds very strong she is still a young girl. From a distance her rescuers thought she was a woman.

The FBI has put out surveillance footage of a Toyota SUV that they strongly believe is the vehicle of the abductor. Plates have not yet been identified in any surveillance camera footage but no doubt they're looking for that. Even if they can just get an ID on the state the car is registered in, that would be a HUGE advancement in the search for him. When school started in Casper, WY, several children reported that a man in a white van was offering kids rides home from school. According to this article, others were asked if they would help find a lost dog. I know that's a common line with these perverts but I wonder if there's any connection between this, the man in CO 2 weeks ago trying to pick kids up with candy, Jessica's disappearance and the attack on the Cody, WY victim.

I'd be willing to bet there is a connection with the Cody, WY attack. It isn't that far away, and white "van" and white "suv" are awfully similar.

I came to check on a pic of the suspect to-he has probably removed that storage thing on top of the car,but I still would think someone would know who owned such a car.
I am proud of her for showing this creep how strong she is!!

Sooner the better, if the victim is going to help with a drawing, just due to memories, etc. not to mention the possibility of another attack. I know it is tricky with such a young victim, but so important.

That is a newer 4 runner. Because of the shape I can see it being called a van... it's definitely not as "square" as the older models.

JMO, but many, many, many people in WY drive 4wd/suv/trucks. The sightings of the man in white van in Casper I believe were actually a white van. Several children in several locations reported the vehicle as a van. Most kids in this area would know the difference between a van and a SUV. It's kind of in the blood here. :twocents:

Update, 2:35 p.m. October 12: A release from the FBI received moments ago reveals that the aforementioned cargo box, a Thule carrier, definitely isn't on the suspect vehicle anymore -- because local authorities have recovered it and are processing it as evidence.

They WILL catch this monster. I fully believe it. I'm just waiting to see that he has been found. It will happen.
