I wonder how big of a job it would be to check to see how many white 4-runners are registered to male owners in that age range and the cross reference drivers licence pictures with that sketch. Presuming of course the guy was driving his own vehicle and it was legally registered.

2004 - 2005 Toyota Forerunner with a grey interior. A blue Tupperware container was in the back compartment along with a mattress on the floor. There was luggage container attached to the roof. The container has since been removed

I'm wondering why the abductor would have left that storage box up in the woods. If he is living in his car, I would imagine he'd need all the storage he could get. Did he think it would attract attention from LE? Or did he remove it from the car for another reason and then wind up leaving the area in a hurry? I'm also wondering if the contents were also left. It's just too bad because the car would be easier to spot with the unit attached to the roof.

The bold above is probably the exact reason he left it were he did, it makes him easier to spot !

Posted this guy over on Jessica's thread where it was pointed out that he looks like the guy in the sketch here. Looking at the jaw offset or the way he holds his mouth to the side...it does look like the sketch to me and the hair color matches as well...and this guy lives steps from Jessica Ridgeways home.

The sketch looks like the guy may have a pierced ear, but that part isn't in the description. I wonder if that is what it is?

When was this pic taken? Is he out of jail? The lips are the same.

His hair's gelled down in the photo. I bet it's a lot lighter when it's freshly washed.

Plus he might easily have bleached it to alter his appearance.

This guy sounds quite similar to the guy who's wanted for several attempted abductions in Iowa. The vehicle's different, but vehicles are easy to change. There's no reason to think they're related, but on the other hand

In your first link, scroll down to about the 7th comment after the article - the one where the guy suggests he wasn't trying to abduct, maybe just looking for his dog!

Probably nothing, simply written by someone naive, but it makes you think about the lack of awareness some people have. Or maybe the poster is a prophet! <joke>

They sound very distinctive. I wonder whether LE have thought about checking with opticians to see if they could forward images of glasses matching that description then see if young K could pick out the exact pair? There must be records of who purchased them, and although it could be rather labour intensive to try to pinpoint the purchaser, it would be totally worth it if it saves another child from going through this living hell.

It's possible that he was traveling with her in there to begin with so he wouldn't be easily spotted because he had a child amidst all his stuff in the car. Or he was thinking of putting her in there for the same reason and took it down to see if she'd fit. Although, I'm thinking it might be easier to just have her climb up on top of the car (risking another kick from her).

If he did remove it so his car wouldn't be spotted so easily, I'm surprised he didn't think of that before abducting a child. That leads me to wonder if he took her on the spur of the moment rather than it being planned. Not many of these perverts actually free the victim. Again, it doesn't seem well planned out.

Even if he didn't actually plan the abduction, I don't know what it would say about him except maybe he hadn't done anything like this before. He could have been thinking about it and suddenly the opportunity presented itself. He just 'went for it' without further thought. So, this could be his first offense. Some of you more experienced WSers might be able to make something more out of this train of thought. Or, it could mean nothing at all. Just thinking out loud.

Weird thought...the RSO is definitely too young but that mouth is so distinctive.
