I don't know how big one of those storage deals are...but it looks like you could fit a person in one. I understand that having one on the roof makes it easier to spot, but dumping it makes it findable. Why not take it off the roof and put it in the back section of the suv?

Wasn't there a recent missing person case out of overland park? I remember something about Overland Park on here but don't know what yet.

There was Kelsie Smith, but that one is solved from several years ago. There is also another girl missing still from east of the Kansas City area in Belton--Kara Kopetsky. She was missing after leaving her school, but there were one or more POI in that case, although it remains unsolved, I believe.

CO Westminster; Jessica Ridgeway, 10 y/o, missing 5 oct 2012

7 oct 2012 backpack and waterbottle with "Jessica Ridgeway" on it found lying on the sidewalk.

Distance Westminster to Cody, WY 488 miles, about 7hr 50 mins.

Amber Alert shortly before 7 Monday night 10/8 after 11-year-old KG went missing.

Distance from Cody WY to Bozeman, MT about 220 miles, 3hr 40 mins.

The time travel from Westminster to Cody would be about a day's drive. Probably 7 or 8 hours.

Good point. Maybe the back of the vehicle was full, bearing in mind he has been living out of it. He could have just crammed the contents into the back and dumped the cumbersome beast.

My initial reaction was "I cannot imagine he would have put her in the top box" as it would be very difficult to do - I struggle with getting my camping gear in and out.

However, thinking about it, maybe this is how she managed to bloody his nose. He tries to put her up there, she kicks him in the face from a perfect position to land a significant blow, and possibly why they will not release details of how she got away.

I think someone called in a tip about the suspect based on the released sketch and the vehicle description. The arrest happened pretty soon after it was released.

Hm, looks possible. The Arvada sketch looks more like him than the Wyoming sketch, really. The Wyoming sketch shows somebody with a round face, not a long one.

If his nose is swollen in mug shot then he is the one she hit! Could that enrage him enough to go get another lil girl & kill her? Could he still have the gun he scared Cody girls with?

Yes, I noted that (unfortunately), it appears he has an older relative in the Overland Park area still. There are not any unsolved missing persons from Lawrence that I can recall, other than one male student whose disappearance somewhat matches the frequent "young college man disappears near river" profile.

Actually, there are two other adults....Lesley Smith and Randy Leach....but both have specific details that make it highly doubtful that they would be related in any way to this case.

Jessica was abducted and killed before KG was abducted and assaulted. Makes no sense to me if its the same person why he'd murder the one and let the next go.

I'm a few pages back...just saw this. OMG, in the link he explains how he modified it. It wouldn't be creepy I guess if we didn't know what he used it for. Scary.
