WY - Tranyelle Harshman, 32, shot all four kids and then herself, 4 dead, Byron, February 10, 2025

I do hope they were all asleep and died not knowing what their mother did to them.
I hope they weren't terrified and confused.
Gunshots aren't quiet. The first to die may have had that mercy. The others would most likely have been awake. Even if one of the older children was first, the second older child would have seen the gun and understood she was being murdered by her mother.

The only way I can see that that wouldn't be the case is if they were drugged first, like victims of the Dupont de Ligonnès family annihilation.

MOO

"The school-age children attended public school normally, he said. They were home suffering from the flu Monday, Cliff said."
Maybe they were tired from being sick or some sort of medicine and that they were all asleep and unaware. I hope that none of them realized what their own mother was doing.

This actually doesn't surprise me. I just wish she had called 911 before she shot her children. There is help available. Call 988. Immediate assistance. Even in rural areas, including Wyoming.

Godspeed Little Girls ... and your mama. Prayers of comfort for your dads and all who loved you.

I think in cases like this, family annihilations, we really need to look at how and why this happens instead of chalking it up to EVIL or DEMONS or whatever. That's just too easy. These situations, like all family annihilations, don't just happen in a vacuum or overnight...they build up over years and years and because it takes place in the home, we have no way of knowing exactly how it evolved. Most crimes, especially domestic, happen in private, and in this case, the annihilator is dead so we can't ask her.
More often than not it's about money. Here's a woman who had four kids, two baby daddies and probably not enough funds, overwhelmed, with few resources. It happens because parents and families don't make great decisions and get hopelessly mired in debt with no way out.
Don't underestimate what desperation can do. As for the kids, in her mind she probably was "sparing them", but we'll never know.

You're right, there likely are one or more underlying causes, and money problems may be part of them, but in my opinion, identifying a mother who murders her own children as "evil" is 100% right too. Other people have money problems and don't murder their children. Other people have mental illnesses and don't kill their kids. As for not knowing the reasons why Tranyelle Harshman murdered her daughters, there are likely many other individuals still alive who know the facts on what was occurring in her life. The father, aunts and uncles, doctors, social workers, neighbors. More information is available, the question is, will anyone pull it all together? RIP to those poor girls. JMO

In cases like this, where there are murder/suicides, are the cases just "closed" automatically or does law enforcement issue a final report?

Maybe I missed it, was there a Dad currently living in the home?

Yes, her second husband I believe.
Sounds like he was working away from home, though ?
Making a living for his family.
So sorry for the two dads of the kids and of course the innocent little ones themselves, who now have their angel wings.
But they deserved to have a life.
Imo.

Incredibly tragic all the way around!!!

So sad to hear Olivia passed. She appeared to be making progress, the quote about her squeezing the hands of others, and wiggling her feet really made me feel hopeful.

Brain injuries are tough. My uncle took a nap because he had a very terrible headache and he ended up having a brain hemorrhage. The swelling wouldn’t go down and he passed away. I’m glad she’s no longer in pain.

May all these little girls rest in peace. 🕊️

Does anyone know if Olivia was an organ donor?
