Lately I have been thinking about N and how she is dealing with this...She probably asks alot of questions. Probably daily. If she is 3 then she is at an age where this could go either way with the impact it has on HER mental state. As she grows older it may seem more like a bad childhood dream or a distant memory. She may need therapy herself... But I worry most about mom. Though she isn't the first mom of a murdered child but to have TWO children murdered and to SEE them like that is a horror thanfully very few have experienced. How does she recover? How does this marriage survive?? Prayers to them.

Especially when you add in that they were paying her to be around their children. Whether there were outward signs or not, you know that a loving mother will be thinking that she should have noticed something and should have known she couldn't be trusted, etc. or just that she should have just taken care of them by herself. I hope she gets a lot of help for herself in the years to come because that little girl she has left is going to need her to be strong.

I hope Marina doesn't beat herself up. noone saw it coming.

She mightve needed her less and less but...I doubt ifshe thought anything was wrong.

She would not have recommended her to her friend.

You know she is. But, this is a frightening situation now with any person who has someone working in the home. It is putting the employee in an alarming position. I can't imagine having someone working for me, doing any time of job that I am afraid of or afraid to criticize or reprimand. Scary. jmo

Been there with a yardman 12 yrs ago. I found out from another employer that he used "crack cocaine." Never had him in my yard again...just told him that I couldn't afford yard help.

Thanks...
But don't worry about me (I am not, after all)

I would not bash anyone anyhow... or say anything interesting or mean ... - don't think that reporter would "want" me :)

Funny in that I have had one here for 3 days trimming trees and raking leaves. He is a cousin to a neighbor and has worked very hard. But, I was thinking of that when I wrote my post. jmo

Being 3 years old, I wonder if N will even be able to remember her siblings, except from videos. It will definitely be so hard on the mom. She must go through horrible anxiety attacks when thinking about that day. I hope she gets therapy. They both are very lucky that they can afford extended therapy sessions.

It was my understanding throughout my life that memory starts at around age 3. Now, I can prove it...last summer I invited my nextdoor neighbors to a vacation beach house I was renting. The youngest child was 3 yrs old. This summer I invited them again to the same beach house. The very first thing the (just turned) 4 yrs old said was: somebody changed the colors in my bedroom, my bed is not pink! I couldn't believe she actually remembered which room was hers, let alone the new bed coverlet.

I feel for certain CNBC has employee insurance that will cover counseling.

Wonder if Krims will ever have any more kids...

It's their business anyhow...

Mod Note:

Hey guys

As a rule we do usually permit Radar Online to be linked and the article posted yesterday is okay. HOWEVER, as previously stated we are taking a firm stance on not permitting discussion of that particular FB supporting the alleged perp, Yoselyn Ortega. We do not want to perpetuate driving any traffic to that FB page, so this is one of those "exceptions". (Perfect example of why the rules are never just black & white across the board. ;)) The most recent Radar Online article referencing that Facebook page is NOT permitted to be linked or discussed here.

It is hard not to wonder about that.

We have a local couple here that lost their 3 precious children( 2 girls and a boy) when a semi plowed into the back of their car on the freeway. Horrible story.

this is an old website- not sure if there is still activity.

Anyway, they became pregnant 6 months later with triplets (2 girls and a boy).
Quite a bittersweet story that brings a tear to my eye every time I read it.

The new babies were born 4-30-08 just short of the1 year anniversary (5-4-07) that they lost their little ones.
Here is their thread.

Remember the Diane Schuler case? Diane drove drunk and high, crashing her van and killing her brother's three daughters, her own daughter and herself.

Diane's brother and sister-in-law were left with no children.

Now Mrs Hance is speaking out for the first time about the tragedy that ripped her family apart, ahead of a documentary seeking to clear her sister-in-law's name.

The 40-year-old describes the unbearable silence of her once lively home in Floral Park, her battle to save her marriage, why she lost her faith - and how she is desperately trying to be excited about her new baby, due in the fall.

Her daughters Emma, eight, Alyson, seven, and Katie, five, were all killed on July 26, 2009, as their aunt, Diane Schuler, drove them home after a camping trip in upstate New York.

But now Mrs Hance has something else to focus on - a new baby.

After the crash, countless friends suggested having another child would help the Hances recover.

She had had her tubes tied soon after Katie was born, but, reluctantly at first, she began to consider IVF.

She said: 'I want to be excited, but I know how random life can be, and how unfair. However much we try to protect our children, the worst can happen.'

I think quite a few of us probably have these same thoughts.

I'd have to say the level of insensitivity among supposedly mentally healthy people is even higher. A very high number of people who are mentally ill suffer because they ARE sensitive to other people's needs/feelings. One of the most common problems I've seen for those suffering from anxiety and/or depression is that they feel shame for not being good enough for their loved ones. It's also very common to worry about what others think/feel about you or your actions. I find it to be much worse in those who are unmedicated most of the time. Anxiety and depression are the 2 most common forms of mental illness.

Where did you get the name confusion LOL :)
you sound clear to me.....

YES I can see that too.

Bitter sweet indeed.

"they met in an Italian restaurant in Venice Beach."
I thought I remembered reading that the Krim's are Italian (Mr. Krim at least) but I may have confused that because of the above statement. Still, I saw their name affiliated with some Italians too.

Lulu had some modeling jobs in California and the money was put into her college fund. Some info in the article below is new to me.

"Marina grew up in a prominent Manhattan Beach family. And Mills reports, Manhattan Beach was Lulu’s favorite.

Husband Kevin grew up in Thousand Oaks. He met his future wife when both were dining at an Italian restaurant in Venice Beach. Their ties to Southern California were many."
