The only justice wouldbe for her to die in the same fear and terror that those precious children suffered..fleeing from a Monster she loved and trusted. The only justice would be for her to live with the horrific vision that Marina Krim must endure, of her slaughtered babies dying in the tub.

There is not a punishment available under our laws that will provide this creature with what she deserves.

It's still so hard for me to wrap my head around her killing those kids because she was jealous of the Krims wealth, and angry at Marina because she suggested that Joselyn work a few more hours a week to earn extra money.

I will always believe that Joselyn wanted to kill all three kids, but she thought her days were numbered at that house, so she killed the two kids at the first opportunity. It will be interesting to hear when Marina told her if her attitude didn't change, she would be let go. I have to wonder if that didn't happen just the day before, or that day.

I just cannot fathom, anyone doing this to these darling children. Or, does it even matter if she is crazy as a loon?
If it were my children, that were slaughtered, it would not matter to me, if she were crazy or no it.

IMO, this is about the clearest manifestation of true evil that even a Board like Websleuths contains.
This is not a Crackhead killing to support his needs, or a jealous spouse killing in fury over losing what is HIS. Or someone "trapped" in a marriage, killing to "get out."

The Krims never took anything from this Creature. In fact, they GAVE to her...they treated her like family...gave her money for trips. She had never been wealthy, but once she saw wealth, she felt ENTITLED to have it too. This is no serious mental illness...just the sickest manifestation of envy and jealously imaginable. This woman is vile beyond description. There are no excuses for her. None.

She came to hate Marina Krim, because she was not as fortunate as she. This is as sick as any type of senseless hate crime. But she was not content to strike out at the Mother, at an adult who might have had a chance to defend herself. No, she planned to "destroy" Marina Krim in the cruelest, most hideous way of all.

The most telling part of this crime is that she waited to see Marina's reacation. She dumped those babies, bleeding in the tub...and waited. Remember Marina had come up to the apartment once, looking for them, and then returned. She wanted the joy of seeing Marina's horror. This crime was not about the children...they were killed to hurt the Mother. They were not killed in a moment of rage and frustration...because she WAITED for her payoff of seeing Marina's indescribable pain.

In Marina's blog, only hours before, she wrote of how it was "almost cheesey" how much she adored her little boy. Reports say he was sleeping as his throat was cut. How calculating.

I wonder how long she and Marina were together before Marina left with Nessie for the swim lesson? She would not have left if the Creature was not behaving normally. But the Murderess was calculating...waiting to get those babies alone. Her life was not as GRAND as she wanted, she had spent money she could not afford, she wanted to BE Marina Krim...but, the next best thing was to destroy Marina Krim.

This is so sickenly premeditated...there is no punishment equal to the crime. Monster will not have to see her child slaughtered and live with that memory. She will probably just sit in jail, happily recalling the moment Marina walked into that bathroom...and delighting herself with thoughts of the pain that never leaves that loving Mother.

And let us remember,when she came to in the hospital, she immediately began complaining about Marina Krim, immediately stating her issues that house cleaning was beneath her. She showed not one bit of remorse, mercy, or regret. There was no "delusion" that she was taking these babies to Heaven or saw Satan in Little Leos crib. This was hatred of a woman she envied...to the extreme.

The Krim family did not attend yesterday’s proceeding.

The nanny kept her head down, her eyes fixed on the defense table except for one worried glance at news photographers.

It was her fifth court proceeding but her first time being photographed; her lawyer has zealously tried to keep reporters and cameras away.

The lawyer declined to talk to the press as she left with a pair of middle-aged women who were in court on Ortega’s behalf.

"Ortega looks like she's aged a decade since the killings. I hope this means they are weighing heavily on her mind. No "reason" has come out about why Ortega may have killed two innocent children except that possibly she wasn't getting along with the Krim family, and that she was suffering stress over financial issues. It's still a huge leap from that to stabbing two young trusting souls to death.

She had nothing to gain from these murders -- and everything to lose. It does seem like her mind just snapped. Still ... it's hard to fathom. How does someone go from being seemingly a competent caretaker one minute to a knife-wielding child killer the next? It boggles the mind.

It will be interesting to see what comes out at trial. Meanwhile, Ortega's appearance seems to indicate a lot is on her conscience.

I check in on the Krim's Facebook page from time to time. iT is heart-wrenching to see the photos they upload of their beloved children...each more precious than the next. It has to take such courage, yet such an emotional toll. With every picture they post...one wants to ask...HOW could YO do this? How could she wake up from her coma and immediately start grousing about money, acting as if SHE were the victim..as if these babies she slaughtered were nothing.

This is not mental illness. She did not BREAK and think she saw Satan in the two year old eyes. She wanted to destroy Marina Krim. It is that simple. I pray that she NEVER has that triumph. I pray these parents survive and thrive and love each other and their surviving child with such a complete joy...that their Babies in Heaven will sing with delight.

Yoselyn Ortega is a person consumed by envy. Envy is extreme jealousy mixed with resentment. A dangerous mix. Envy is the motive for Ortega, the same motive that drove Seung-Hui Cho, Lori Drew, Betty Broderick, Gertrude Baniszewski, and Wanda Holloway. Like them, they were consumed by envy. Also, she likely bottles up her anger over time that possibly dates back to her childhood. She could be an injustice collector.

She slashed her own throat as not a suicide attempt, but to make it look like an intruder did it. Ortega was doing what Diane Downs did by hurting themselves. There are not many females who kill other people's children.

I have to wonder what kind of upbringing did Ortega have.

Yoselyn Ortega's eyes are bulging and look like Sanpaku eyes. She must be very rageful and severely repressed person. Her eyes remind me of Casey Anthony, Lori Drew, Diane Downs, Jame Holmes, and Adam Lanza.

The 50-year-old accused monster, who remains held without bail at the Elmhurst Hospital jail ward, sat stoic as she heard the results through a Spanish interpreter. Her family members were there but fled from reporters. She is charged with stabbing to death 2-year-old Leo and 6-year-old Lucia Krim in their family's W. 75th St. apartment on Oct. 25.
