An interesting article about “adoption influencers” featuring Myka Stauffer.
Myka Stauffer and the Aggressively Inspirational World of “Adoption Influencers”
Think about how attached you get to children and even pets .. if you love someone, I would think giving them away would be devastating. Maybe I’m being too judgmental, but doesn’t it seem Psychopathic?
Well, for what it's worth and take it with a grain of salt because it's youtube - the youtube rumour mill is digging up everything it can about this couple, and it appears that they've been trying for some time to become rich and internet-famous with different schemes. They hit the big one with adoption vlogging, I guess. Youtube monetisation really brings out the worst in people, and it's getting worse lately.

I know of an evangelical "Christian" family that did this. Adopted multiple siblings, made a big announcement about it, received donations, and then months later announced they had had them "re-homed". The husband is very involved in religious recruitment at a well known university in the South. They have also made a living being sponsored for "missionary" trips overseas.
Ouch! Good point, @mickey2942. SMH. I have never before heard of the words "re-homed" or "re-homing" when referring to a person. How cold that sounds -- especially when an adoptive parent would use it. It makes me shiver. That is terrible. I have never even "re-homed" a dog. Let alone a child.
