I looked at that same stretch Wen, the river attracted me. Course then I looked at the south end of it and some really nice areas to pull out and some purdy gullies. Oh and then there was some interesting stuff in the middle too.... Ugh. It all looks like a nice place to dump something you don't want found.

NG promo...she said new evidence found leads investigators closer to finding Zahra. Of course, we'll have to see what she actually has come showtime. Ahem.

the patterson area,(i went to patterson school when i was a kid) is extremly challenging terrain out of the foothills and into the mountains. if the area of evidence is this large it becomes almost random.

if they have found evidence linking this case there, it would have to be from information they have received.

i have to second sarx on this one and stick to my little area around christy rd.

nvestigators searched another wooded area in Caldwell County as the search for Zahra Baker entered its second month.

The search area was north of Christie Road, where authorities discovered Zahra's prosthetic leg and a bone they believe might be connected to the case. Hickory Police Deputy Chief Clyde Deal said authorities will head back to a wooded area near Dudley Shoals Road in Granite Falls Wednesday. Investigators have been at that site at least one other time.

Deal said during the last month, searchers have collected more than 200 pieces of evidence, some of which have been sent to the SBI for testing. Other than the bone, police aren't saying what the other items are. The SBI gave the evidence its highest priority status.

Campground open year round Kat?

Can't say with certainty, but Hubby and I do ALOT of camping and hiking, usually during Oct. - late Nov. No problem yet getting into any campgrounds. We usually choose this time of year because we know we'll be pretty much alone out there. Too cold for the less hardy. ;)

This might be one of the campgrounds

On the day that they called 911 Oct. 9. My family and I went up to Sugar Loaf for their Octoberfest. It wasn't what we thought it was going to be, so we left and went driving around and took a detour on Blue Ridge. We had stopped in Hickory on the way up and the way back. There were all kinds of different kinds of festivities going on all around that area on that day. We even went by what looked like a fair, yet it didn't look opened. Anyway what I was trying to get at is, all along our drive, there were lots of people. Also lots of area's that you could pull out off the main road and get lost. People were pulling off. So I can see it would be very, very difficult for LE. Especially like I said there were lots of festivities all around during that weekend. I would assume that EB would know this. There were even fire trucks setting up some kind of event at what looked like a combination building of entertainment such as laser tag, miniature golf etc.

Yeah, I guess she, AB and the rest of the family and ex-family were all probably aware of that. I just wish someone would care enough about Zahra to tell the truth and take their lumps for any part they might've played in her death/disappearance.

Trying to outsmart LE is futile -- it will only get worse and worse for those who know something and don't talk. If they don't realize that, they are dumber than I thought.

Just reported on NG that the new secret search location today was Indian Grave Road and is a known deer carcass dumping ground.

Also, NG was talking something about its behind the elementary school that EB attended as a little girl and was known to "hang out" back there.

Hope this helps you map people! Have you seen that road on your maps? Indian Grave Road

TL, try to grab a pic of this!

Off of Indian Grave road is a thick clay colored road. I thought it was a logging road, because it went up hill and there was NOTHING on it (meaning houses). Anyway, for some reason I zoomed in because I thought I saw logs. What did I notice? A picnic table. Nothing else on this dirt road...it just ends in a clearing with a picnic table.

(Arg! I have GOT to figure out how to post google earth pics!)
