Did I miss something?
It doesn't say anywhere that Morgan and Morgan were not allowed at this hearing.

They are not mentioned in the article but I assume they were in attendance.....Can a judge call a hearing and exclude the plaintiff's attorney's who filed the motion???

The article does state that Texas EquuSearch's attorney would not appear or participate in the proceeding.

I checked the Civil Case docket and the last entry was on
01/12/2012 Witness and Exhibit List AMENDED WITNESS AND EXHIBIT LIST

I will check again at the end of the day to see if any doc are entered...

I was looking for the news article, but I can't readily find it. This in camera hearing came about after the last ZFG hearing. TES teamed up with the ZFG suit in their effort to get FCA to have to answer questions in her deposition, as TES would be doing the same thing, setting up a deposition for FCA, and they wanted to put their 2 cents in as to why FCA should have to talk. TES joined with ZFG case because they would also need the same issue decided when they go forward. I remember at the last hearing, at the end, FCA's attorneys told Munyon they would like to tell her in a private proceeding as to why FCA should be allowed to take the 5th in BOTH cases, and then Munyon scheduled this en camera hearing. Does anybody else remember that? I don't know all of the exact legal jargon, but that is why Morgan&Morgan are not there.

IMO, MOO, etc.

I thought this Hearing was in regards to Morgan and Morgans Renewed Motion to Compel that they recently filed

01/10/2012 Motion to Compel (renewed) answers to deposition questions

So there should be another hearing at some point for the motion that ZFG filed that their deposition of OCA should be made public since she is out there on video.

  • #1,984
I would like to know, as a concerned citizen, why these court hearings are being held in secret? Is she in some Witness protection program that I haven't heard about? There are dangerous criminals being tried every day where I live, people who are at risk from their enemies and victims' families but I do not see all their hearings being conducted in secret. What are they hiding from the public?

http://www.cfnews13.com/article/new...ll-not-have-to-answer-questions-in-civil-case

Here is the article I was referring to:

here is a snip:

"Meanwhile, in the Texas EquuSearch lawsuit, Munyon wants to know a little bit more before making a final decision.

She will meet with the attorneys in the case privately, where they will explain why Anthony shouldn't have to answer certain questions."

But TES were not participants in this closed-door hearing

My recollection is it was just going to be FCA's attorneys, I am having trouble getting on the WS site at the moment for some reason, I will try to find what I am looking for,

but that is how I recalled it, that FCA's attorneys were going to meet with Munyon in private to give more info, not for the public consumption, as to why FCA does can plead the 5th. I remember the hearing was televised, and TES's attorneys were arguing at the hearing something a little different than ZFG's attorneys were arguing, the Judge asked FCA's attorney some pointed questions re: the TES case that sounded like her ruling might go a little differently in that case.

It was in the live hearing were both TES's attorneys and ZFG's attorneys both argued.

does anyone recall that? maybe I am losing my mind, could be :floorlaugh:

I hardly doubt you are losing your mind...there has been alot of confusion

I believe,( and I could be wrong) reading the news articles, that today's hearing was concerning ZFG's Renewed Motion to Compel that they filed on January 10 after OCA's video and photos have been unleashed on the internet

UPDATE...according to Adam Longo's tweets you are correct...I was wrong

http://twitter.com/CFNews13Casey

Why is there a #caseyanthony preceding you ask? Judge Munyon wants extra info re: equusearch case on why Casey should b allowed take the 5th

Attorneys Charles Greene, Cheney Mason and Lisabeth Fryer were the only ones to speak with the Judge. #caseyanthony

It appears as though the content of this #caseyanthony proceeding will apply to both the Zenaida Gonzalez ad Equusearch cases.

sorry for the double posts, for some reason I am having a problem on WS today.

O.K., here is what I was looking for, what I thought was going on today, although I may be wrong. blue bbm mine I remember the attorneys asking if they could do this en camera, in private without us hearing about it, and remember thinking about her special treatment once again.

"Munyon also issued an order on Thursday in a separate suit facing Anthony, brought by Texas EquuSearch, a nationally recognized group that helped search for Caylee.

EquuSearch is also seeking to force Anthony to answer questions, on similar grounds. Munyon on Thursday ordered a closed-door hearing to discuss EquuSearch's motion.

In her order, Munyon writes that she needs "a more detailed explanation of the Defendant's reasons for asserting her Fifth Amendment privilege" before ruling on the issue."

Edited my last post to you...you are correct

CFNEWS13 posted on their website that today's hearing was with ZFG attorneys...that changed after Adam Longo began tweeting from the courthouse.

Casey Anthony's Lawyers Talk To Judge Behind Closed Doors

Texas Equusearch Wants Casey To Talk, Her Lawyers Say No

The attorney for EquuSearch was not present at the meeting but Casey Anthony's criminal attorneys, Cheney Mason and Lisabeth Fryer did attend. Mason and Fryer represent Casey in her criminal case involving accusations that Casey lied to law enforcement.

Another hearing involving a lawsuit filed against Casey by Zenaida Gonzalez was also scheduled for Tuesday, but it disappeared from the court docket Tuesday morning indicating it was cancelled.

-------------

So there was supposed to be a hearing with ZFG's attorney's but it was removed from the docekt.

See we are not the ones confused NavySubMom....the media is LOL

But you all are leaving out the best part!!! Mr. Greene had no comment to the reporters when he left the hearing today!

When has that ever happened? This man always has too much to say. Now unless he is holding a news conference later today to do his shpeal, I'd say this is a pretty decent sign.

Maybe the tide is turning against FCA and her special treatment??
I wish I could remember the specific questions Munyon was asking FCA's attorney in that televised hearing specifically about TES's suit...... as to why her questions were a little different regarding the TES suit, but I am drawing a blank. If Greene doesn't say anything at all today, I would say that might be a good sign, but who knows??

Well actually, there is confusion there as well
Adam Longo tweeted that Mr Greene did speak and CFNEWS13 was going to have the report on the Noon newscast

I did see that also Intermezzo during my search for what I was looking for, but noon came and went and I didn't see anything on-line, anyway, about what Greene said. maybe something will show up later.

I am wondering now why Mason/Fryer were in there...... is something else up????? or were they just there to reenforce about her lying appeal, etc., Mason trying to intimidate Munyon?? just wondering out loud here about those two jumping in. :banghead:
