I think your idea about the witness being a minor has merit. It explains the 5 month time gap. I am reminded of the Elizabeth Smart case and the time it took for the younger sister to retrieve memories. JMO

I wouldn't expect CD to be victim friendly or very truthful about anything which he didn't have to reveal. These young men may well be being victimized twice. JMO The families deserve better. JMO

So my thought is that this death never should have happened. College students ought to be more vigilant and aware than this. It is not OK to suggest otherwise. Friends don't let friends die unavoidably. Someone has to be sober. Someone has to care.
