OH - Todd Morgan, 41, murdered in his home, Cleveland State professor, shot in head/torso - Hudson, 19 Apr 2023

I think we are going to find out that cellular data played a big role in establishing the information for investigators in this case - probably why it took some weeks to get that subpoenaed, analyzed and presented to the grand jury.

I'm not finding anything but traffic cases for her - example, search below.
Maple Heights - Docket Search

Criminal case here - Case Search

Check Cuyahoga County Clerk of Courts. Do the search just using her last name (Paschal), then visually scan down for her first name. The spelling of her first name is tricky and varies.

The murder case for Mr. Morgan is in the Summit County Courts because he lived in Hudson, OH, which is in Summit County.

Paschal, from online records, lives in Cleveland, which is in Cuyahoga County. Her prior offenses occurred there. Hope that helps.

I don’t think she was randomly attempting to burglarize his home. The indictment claims she attempted to steal a cell phone and some cash. That’s not worth the risk of breaking into his home.

It seemed she was at his home for some reason and took the opportunity to rob him. Her reason for being there could have been for prostitution, dealing drugs or even something as innocent as pretending to answer an advertisement for something he was selling on Craigslist
Maybe she was calling herself a nanny for his young child?

Is there anything more on this case?
Not likely one of his students, as some had suspected, but who is this woman and why was she there?

Any court proceedings upcoming?

Grand Jury Indictment

If the PDF link doesn't work, there's a pretrial hearing scheduled for August 1, 2023 at 11 am

Here is the case number:
CR-2023-05-1679

The indictment says that Terreionna Paschal committed Aggravated Murder while attempting to commit Aggravated Robbery.

We already know he was found murdered in his home. Paschal was charged with Aggravated Robbery, but not Aggravated Burglary. In Ohio, Aggravated Burglary is the crime of breaking into someone's home, business, etc for the purpose of committing a crime. Since she wasn't charged with any kind of break-in, its possible she was already in the home with the consent of the victim. IDK, MOO.

There are also some weapons charges, which will increase her sentence if she's convicted.

Count of Eight (8) charges total.

Will premeditation be considered at some point?

It appears that the state has a solid case against TSP. It also appears that alleged murderer TSP came to TM's home with a firearm on person (in violation of Section 2941.145 (A) of the Ohio Revised Code).

This site is great to look up OH codes. Section 2941.145 - Ohio Revised Code | Ohio Laws

Is it legal in OH to carry a firearm on person? Haven't looked into that information at this time. TIA

Count Eight: Theft: Notes. "The property or services stolen is valued at one thousand dollars or more and less than seven thousand five hundred dollars."

As @Betty P mentioned there's a pre-trial hearing for August 1, 2023 at 11:00 am ET.

MOO

Updated article and police video.

“He’s down,” one officer said. “I see someone down.”

The officer then got on his radio and requested EMS units be dispatched to the home. Reports released to the I-Team, following a public records request, states that officers found that Morgan had been shot. Several shell casings were found inside the home.

“I began to take photos of the scene,” an officer stated in his report. “I observed what appeared to be a bloody shoe print on the back deck, just outside of the open back door.”

In Ohio, you can do whatever you want with a firearm, unfortunately. Open carry, no permits, etc. Her problem might be having a weapon when she's an ex convict? IDK. Those charges don't really tell us much about the crime. They're just used to add more years to the sentence.

From your link above

The report also states that people living nearby told police they heard four or five gunshots around 7:20 a.m. that same day and that they saw a light-colored vehicle parked in Morgan’s driveway.

Another witness said after hearing, “the booms,” he saw someone from the house to the car in the driveway, retrieve a box or package and then carry it into the house, the report states.

So the shooting took place early in the morning. The killer parked in the driveway. If they were burglarizing the home, they would have parked down the street, right?

Police were called when his daughter's school called them because he had failed to pick her up from school. Assume that happened later in the day? Had he just returned from dropping his daughter up at school?

A few minutes later the person, who had long dark hair, left, witnesses told police.

Thanks, that was a good link. The reporter said a neighbor’s security cam video recorded the killers car in the driveway next to the victim’s. Recorded them going to their car to get a box, taking it inside. Later showed the killer leaving quickly. Police also found the killer’s bloody shoe prints on the deck.

The article at the link is sort of locked up in my browser. Can't access the link to the indictment. There's also no photo of the alleged killer.

Here are a couple of local newspaper articles, but they don't have much info. Apparently, they want to keep details private.

ETA: This link at WKYC worked better for me.

In addition to Aggravated Murder and some weapons charges, she's also charged with Aggravated Burglary, Misdemeanor Theft and Attempted Theft. The indictment says she murdered Todd Morgan attempting to commit Aggravated Burglary. Those are the charges that would make this Aggravated Murder, a death penalty offense. The theft charges seem to be related to a cell phone and money. Value more than $1000 and less than $7,500.

Totally agree! I've passed the house a few times. It's on a busy road with no sidewalks, and the house sits back from the road. I doubt a single female would break into a home, during the day with a car in the driveway. Most people who break into homes want an empty house, quick entrance-quick exit.
