My brother died of a heart attack on mainland Spain . He was in a temperature controlled environment before being flown home 18 days later . After requesting an open coffin , my SIL was advised STRONGLY not to see my Bro . Although heartbroken she did heed these warnings thankfully . I'd like to add there was a strong odour from the closed coffin .
Jay was in the elements with high temps. Last memories shouldn't be shocking , awful or hurtful . It's a memory that will last forever.

I'm sitting on the other side of the world, yet have nice tools at my disposalI post up here some screenshots of what I believe to be the region, and general path, J went down. I think the map on the DM isn't quite accurate, and have included that same map here with what I think may have been J's actual route marked in blue.
Think you may be right with your blue route, looks like he may have strayed onto the "challenging" Barranco trail

Your post made me wonder, possibly he thought he was actually on Masca trail, that does go down to Masca beach? He appears to have been one ravine over from that.

Yes, this is quite standard. More often than not, bodies repatriated after death abroad are typically subjected to a second autopsy, especially so in circumstances where the autopsy report furnished may be at question or could be due to an order from the courts, a request from surviving family, or for insurance claim reasons.
