I don't think from memory the band were local. But not certain. They were travelling to London for a gig on the Saturday night, posters stated. The discussion on the thread was, where they would park the van with the gear and would they leave immediately after the de rig to travel to London.
Martin is saying in the Daily Record link I posted he is travelling down as search is starting next week.http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/uk-world-news/corrie-mckeagues-dad-haunted-theory-9967335

New interview with Martin McKeague. He says he once worked as a bin man with Perth and Kinross and says he can't imagine missing a body in a bin.

Security stepped up and increased at entrance of landfill. Looking like search start date is imminent.
The markers are there that they believe he is in the landfill and it's about what happened to him and accident as an explanation not good enough for Nicola as she says in the interview. I can see why Martin is speaking of a cover up. Cover up of procedures perhaps?

A short interview by Nicola with Jackie Bird, BBC Scotland, in Feb, after the announcement of the landfill search. I hadn't seen it previously and found it as I am going through old interviews of Nicola's, (what is still available) and found her use...
I did a bit of a search for a link for the bin lorry being first in. This point was discussed on QA thread 1 and QA thread 2. Also discussed on thread 2 QA was that no other vehicles were parked there, before the bin lorry entered. I am speculating that as posters were in agreement in the...
I can't get my head around the police checking the wrong lorry and swopping number plates. If that happened the perpetrator/s would be charged? As you say they will have the number plates and chassis numbers. Surely it hasn't taken them 6 months, if that did happen? More so in such a serious...
Suspected and no proof, if the bin lorry turned out clean forensics, and if they covered something up, which may have taken SP, some time to unravel it all. I too feel this guy is the weakest link and perhaps the story he was told, wasn't the truth, and he was helping out, without knowing the...
I have seen this before, thank you. There is a lot of indirect information. My comment was specifically about SP statements, only SP, in agreeing with Shire.
It's interesting that the expert is stating that if Trevor was in water, the phone would have been dead in seconds and yet it was ringing 4 times, when his sister rang the number over the weekend. It's such a strange case, with so many unanswered whys, especially checking his computer, and the...
The problem for me is, what LE say and what the family say. They have given information, and facts, but they are not saying what has been eliminated. Without a body it may not be possible for them to say anymore than they are. JMO
Edit - The police were criticised for not finding Helen Bailey...
