    The Verdict Waiting Room #2

What was the "subtlety" quote in ref to again? I remember thinking it was gold!

    The Verdict Waiting Room #2

This is what I was unsure about. He said he was told he was not allowed to search for her but in the early days Det ainsworth said it was "news to him". I don't believe the prosecution actually ever probed that with him or the police did they? They also said he never visited the command centre...

    The Verdict Waiting Room #2

I should clarify that one person hadn't really followed the case at all so wasn't familiar but from what he had seen, he thought guilty, but wanted to read up on it. Hadn't seen nearly half of the evidence presented

    The Verdict Waiting Room #2

I had friends over on the weekend. I asked the men if there was any possibility that a razor could have caused those scratches. They all immediately roared with laughter and agreed without question there was zero possibility in their eyes. I asked them all (ladies and gents) if they were on the...

    The Verdict Waiting Room #2

Reasonable possibility of innocence - is this based on the defence theory or can it be anything? Ie, defence put forward suicide or serotonin syndrome but could they consider other theories? What if one of the jury suggested TMH as the perp? Would this constitute reasonable doubt about GBC? Or...

    The Verdict Waiting Room

The blagg case is interesting reading. What was the relevance of the rape case at the end? Did I miss something there? I was skimming over parts so may well have missed the link.

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 9th July - Trial Day 17

This is starting to feel a bit one-sided to me.

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 9th July - Trial Day 17

Random thought - if A took his phone each night and gave back in the morning, why did he have a charger next to his side of the bed? Would defeat the purpose of taking his phone wouldn't it?

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 8th July - Trial Day 16

Three things: 1. I wonder what would have happened if GBC had not testified? I wonder if the case against him would have been as compelling? I wonder what we would all be thinking about the trial outcome? 2. I wonder if it was always the plan for him to testify? The prosecution and defence do...

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 8th July - Trial Day 16

Thanks marly! So the ledge is the concrete surrounding the pillar directly underneath those police officers on the right? How do you get there?

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 8th July - Trial Day 16

Yeah that's the theory I was getting at. But I still would have thought there'd be some noticeable damage. I guess sadly we will never know exactly how she got there.

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 8th July - Trial Day 16

So when TF mentions that allison didn't jump as she didn't have the considerable injuries that would eventuate, would not she have injuries if she was rolled off the ledge? Is there much of a difference in height? Why would she not actually have any injuries from that fall. Is it the theory...

GBC Trial General Discussion Thread #4

Well.... After many highs and lows throughout this trial, of this I am certain: The prospect of coming up against mr fuller in a court of law would make me feel physically ill. He was pretty frightening, even in the transcripts and I can't imagine how terrifying it would be to be on the...

GBC Trial General Discussion Thread #3

I think kholo because it's far enough to give time for DNA evidence to disperse but close enough to be be found so he could claim insurance. You know what? I'm done with this. I recall seeing this on the 20th April on the news that she'd disappeared. At that point I just hoped she'd be...

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 26th June - Trial Day 11, Week 3

So playing devils advocate, he knows he has to hand his phone over each night, yet on the day A went missing he takes calls from the mistress and calls her. Then the next day, keeps calling her. If he had nothing to do with it and was at any point there unaware of what was to come or what HAD...

There we go. He is going to say Allison connected the phone to the charger.

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 26th June - Trial Day 11, Week 3

I feel like supplying a list of contradictions, questions and angles to the PT. I feel sick about this.

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 26th June - Trial Day 11, Week 3

Yes he went on to have another two affairs, one that went for four years. Couldn't have been that ashamed.

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 26th June - Trial Day 11, Week 3

My concern is not about him taking the stand. It could go either way I think. My concern is that the prosecution continues to be soft. I don't have a lot of confidence they will ask the hard questions. :(
