I guess an obit is an obit and, while this particular style is obviously not to everyone's liking here on WS where everything is suspicious, I have to admit I am often intrigued and sometimes moved reading obits that are heartfelt and give a sense of the person. What I did find odd in this was...
A few people mentioning this on other threads too. Looks like it happened today. I'm not seeing yellow either because I'm using Tapatalk or because I changed my setting to dark screen recently.
I think the brother would know if the details about her life history were true or false (I.e. family history and work info). If they were false then you could be on to something, but I'm guessing ABro would have brought it up since EG's existence alone was a topic of much speculation.
Here's...
The thing about EG Obit is when I read it, informal as it is, I imagine Wayne dictating it to someone. Wayne reminds me of some of the older guys at work who go into storytelling mode often, especially when there's a drink in hand.
Did EG's brother ever say the obit was fiction when he was...
Looks more like reporter error. I can't imagine DP would need to explain that DM is the heir to any fortune and those words coming out of his mouth. If police ruled it a murder, I think she can say it was his murdered father's fortune, but she would have to say "alleged" if suggesting DM...
There was so much talk about the size of the cells and solitary confinement that I bet DM will try to make personal appearances in Toronto whenever possible just for the change of scenery. If MS isn't consistently in solitary it may not matter as much to him.
This actually cracked me up for a moment. I had a vision of a sleuth shouting out the question during a court appearance. Lol.
Just adding to the absurdity!
Yes first degree automatic with forcible confinement, but some feel it's possible it was f.c. and something gone terribly wrong leading to murder, rather than actual intent to murder at the onset of test drive (among other possibilities)
MOO
Is it your feeling then that TB's death was not premeditated then? I noticed that you are very certain of guilt so I am curious as to whether you feel it was first degree as charged, second or manslaughter.
My mentioning the form was in response to Snooper's comments on how anybody can do it, etc. I was trying to illustrate that mB didn't generate them herself and rush them to the detention centre.
He hadn't started transferring property. He was incarcerated and gave a power of attorney. He has a lot of assets. Whether he's expecting to be in jail for two weeks or two months or two decades, he cannot take care of his business or even access money to pay a retainer. It's not like he can...
I still don't think the POA signifies anything more than the accused has legal counsel who is fulfilling his obligation of protecting his client's interest.
Also, back to an earlier post, notwithstanding the other article stating MB has control of "most" of DM's assets, we have no evidence...
EG's pony!!!
I would think the very first thing DP or any criminal lawyer would do is advise their client to sign a POA.
So there's the POA. SnooperDuper, just because there are three kinds does not mean one can assume DM gave his mother all three. Also, even title insurers these days get...
Can you provide a link indicating MB put any of DM's toys for sale on Kijiji? To the best of my memory it was actually his mechanic that was the Seller.
ABro (and many of us) already stated some opinions with much less info at hand. Carli's a b or c statements below don't ask her to opine on strength evidence, it could be following her gut for all we know. At any rate, I agree with Arnie that ABro is intelligent. I'm sure she can determine...
I'm curious too! I think the question and its answer would not contravene the provisions of the ban. I hope you can at least share with us how you feel.
