What I don't understand is if there was a suicide note in the car and LE picked up her car on Saturday, why did it take until Thursday to acknowledge the suicide note and find her then. Why the delay?

Let's all pray for Nicole, her family, friends and coworkers. May God give everyone strength through this trying time. She was way too young to die.

Exactly! I've seen enough cases just like you suggest Naldo the psychopathic national forest stalkers that kill for sport. There have been many that have perished and ruled suicide only because the killers are that good about covering their tracks. We may never know the truth. But it's too...
No one can change her scents there. Just the smoke would mask it. It's unbelievable how long her scent can actually last there. I read about it from an expert.
Agreed. A good dog would have been able to walk from her car to the spot she was found. That is if she was alive when she ended up there and the smoke from the fires didn't interfere with their smelling ability.
It's very possible the forest fire was intentionally set to tie up a lot of resources and allow for the killer to go and plant her body there without getting caught.

Well all we know is a body was found. We don't know if she killed herself or if she was murdered and dumped there. Either is a plausible possibility. The evidence should suggest what really happened. Like I said the autopsy should reveal how she died.
I hope they search for clues to see if she died there or if her body was placed there after she died which would indicate she was murdered.

No, my comment is from the hundreds of missing men that are found dead in water. They are always found in the same area that was searched many times before. But that's a different phenomenon, i.e. Smiley Face Killer. [emoji3]
