I believe the truck was not facing the wrong direction. That seems to be a rumor that pops up occasionally in the thread.
I believe the truck was off to the edge of the road, still blocking part of the road, but facing the proper direction.
I believe they are talking about a sun shade, the removable cardboard piece that fits in the entire windshield when the car is parked to block the sun and keep the car cooler, not the sun visor you flip down to cut down on glare while driving.
Bus service was much more prevalent then. Greyhound stopped in all sorts of places they no longer do. It’s possible that was his means of travel to the general area.
I don't see how Cincinnati dropped the ball.
People seem to forget that human remains are often not found for years and often in areas that were already searched. Remains are often hidden better than people think, even in cases with no foul play.
And the drunk driver, with help from friends who have managed to also remain silent, were able to not only remove the body but also pick up every piece of the car that broke off during the accident? That seems like a lot to happen since the spot the accident would have occurred is known.
While it is a commonly proposed scenario, it would be very hard for most people to remove a guy like Tyler from the scene of an accident. Plus accidents tend to leave vehicle parts behind.
LE also likely has much more information on finances that we've heard. i can recall in the Nicholas Francisco case the speculation at this time in the case were 1) wife, 2) foul play. Almost no one suspected he'd walk away on the way home from work bringing ingredients to make cookies with his...
I've never seen this verified. I'd count it as a rumor. Especially since I've never seen a definite police statement such as "We have direct evidence the girls were at the mall that day."
To be fair, that scenario (a hit and run driver grabbing a victim and taking them from the scene) is commonly suggested in missing person cases on these forums.
It's a shame this lead wasn't something more than a vision.
I would be almost an instinct when a truck driver gets out of their truck along the road to put on the emergency flashers.
And that when stopping after dark, the headlights may be turned off but the marker lights are often left on even in parking lots let alone on the road.
Also when stopping...
I don’t want this to sound like blaming the victim but anyone in the park at that time was technically not a law abiding citizen. The park was closed. I don’t think it was widely patrolled or enforced, no idea if that changed.
Since we don't know how the key card worked, it is possible he followed someone else into the building and didn't have to use his card to enter the building. If the card also opened his door, it may be possible someone could leave their room door unlocked.
That's one possibility of how he could...

Just because Nick and Josh might have had an argument over Katie that could have possibly at some time came to a climax with Josh's disappearance does not mean that Katie would automatically date Nick if Josh was gone.
The truck was identified as a 1966. Most likely the truck was retired from whatever business used it had in the past, and the lettering partially removed/obscured when sold from the business. This Is what i see when I look at the best images I can find of it.
